Agree...all workers are hero’s...we must not forget the power workers, sewerage workers, refuse workers....long list...respect to each and every one of you...big shout for all food supermarket folks too....
They are the first ones I thought of...in the beginning Walmart didn't want them wearing masks because it would "scare the customers". We order our groceries online and have them brought to our car and have for years. The Asst manager said she hadn't had one day off since it all began. This was in August! Bless their hearts...they deserve recognition, and all who move the food chain deserve recognition. Had they been too frightened and stayed home, we would have starved. We now know who is essential. Other than tips, I wish there was something that could be done to recognize them. Amazing insight to who truly is important...the ones we've taken for granted all our lives!
Have you considered using Dr alieaotor Herbal Medicine on TH-cam herpes cure? It has one of a kind herbal product for getting rid of herpes without chemo. I've heard some unbelievable things about it and my best friend got amazing results with it. 🌺 dralieaotorhome.webs.com ....
That is what I have been saying since the beginning... Big thanks to all the grocery store workers! We need to show our appreciation by giving them a raise... They deserve one even without the pandemic. But. They are absolutely the people that are exposed to a lot of germs on a daily basis, not to mention the crazy, rude, aggressive customers.
Dr. Campbell, I often feel sad when your videos end. It's as I felt when, as a kid, I had to say goodbye to my favorite uncle. You are a blessing to the world.
@OwlFarm Albion Much respect to you. All weathers, all storms and supporting your country with it's back to the wall. I hope brexit will be good for the country & in particular farming & fisheries.
I am so with you on commending the grocery workers. They have worked all through the pandemic, sometimes receiving abuse too. I have thought often about them and can not remember their being mentioned before this video. Thank you to them all.
Teachers, who've been in more danger and still are, have been abused and still are. Long term care workers; people forced to work with groups of people and risk their lives.
this pandemic has shown the real essential workers to be the grocery workers and bin men and not the bankers and politicans who get paid many multiples of their salaries
Grocery workers are incredibly brave. They get paid close to minimum wage and clearly need their income. I've been thanking them for the last six months. Well said Doctor Campbell.
They're not heroes or being brave, they're just people who have no choice but to work and pay the bills. Are they risking their health more than others? Maybe. Do they have a choice? Definitely not. I'm sure that if they could they would get a different job but.. not much of that going around. Wouldn't you work somewhere else other than a supermarket if you could? I bet you'd jump ship at the first opportunity just like the rest of us.
Thank you for the shout out for grocery workers. My husband is a truck driver for Nugget Markets and he and his co-workers have been ridiculously busy the entire time. All of the people involved, the bakers, the checkers, the deli workers, they have kept a smile on their face and powered through this whole time. Thank you all!!!!
I quit my regular job (restaurant) BECAUSE my coworkers, in the absence of authority, refused to follow CDC recommendations. I told them they do NOT have the right to risk MY life... I also brought it to various levels of management, and all I got for a response was "what do you want ME to do about it?" Now all I do is fix cars.
Thank you John for giving us supermarket workers a shout out, it's much appreciated xx Thank you for doing these updates, and helping us in simple terms how to really understand what is happening with this virus 👏
I'm in central Texas and Covid is raging in our area right now, worse than its ever been. I have Lupus and asthma so i just try to keep myself distanced and wear my mask and use my hand sanitizer. My children and grandchildren aren't coming home this year for Thanksgiving. We are all sad but know its for the best.
You are too kind saying "it's going to bite them in the ankle"truthfully a lot of people in the states are going to be bit in their asses, unfortunately 😢be safe Dr campbell💗
a big thank you to those volunteers and others who delivered my shopping in the first lockdown in the UK.and a big thank you to those who considered each other's freedom and self-isolated.
I could only afford grocery delivery once, in April 2020. After that, I’ve been on my own, a shut-in, disabled, over 70 years. I rely on the charity of others to use my money to shop for me. Such is life here in Massachusetts, in the USA.
Thank you Dr. John Campbell for your report today. i live in the Fraser Health Region in British Columbia, Canada. We are in lock down. One of my dear friends today was diagnosed with Covid. I have not seen her for a month. I am really hoping she will be okay. Your program is my greatest comfort in this crazy world right now. I so appreciate all you are doing! Very Best Wishes, Laara from Canada
Thank you for honoring grocery workers. My son is one. This year has been very stressful for him. It helps a bit when a customer thanks him for all he does and for sticking with it.
My wife worked for groceries store47 years, DEAF!! Relying on lip reading, with everyone’s mask on, her job almost impossible. Quite few customers cuss at her not realizing she’s deaf... she hung in there!
Your wife is amazing, and there is surely a special ring in Hell for those horrible people who cursed at her while she’s just trying to do her damn job! Best wishes to you both! Hang in there! 🙏❤️
I’m a grocery worker-thank you SO much for the shout out. VERY appreciated! I’ve watched every one of your videos since mid-March... Thank You 🙏 for the invaluable information you have shared over all these months.
Dr. Campbell has been bringing us comprehensive data and info from around the world since the beginning of the pandemic with the same level of enthusiasm - if not more as time goes by, - a consistent and clear voice in the chaos. Listen to this man, no bias, no hidden agenda here. Happy to have found you in the spring. Thanks for all the work, you make it look easy, but I know it is a LOT of work, even if one loves what they do as much as you do. Keep safe John, we need you long term!
It's because he has no political or racial bias that he was able to look at the early evidence and say 'it's down to vitamin D levels'. Loads of us started taking it then. The political classes are still wittering on about 'structural racism' - there was an hour programme on it on Channel 4 a couple of days ago.
We are extremely grateful to pickers and delivery drivers .they have been very brave from the beginning of all this .and ,ours have been a ray of sunshine.so we too would like to add our voice to our wonderful Dr Campbell.
John, you’ll be pleased to know, no one is coming to my house at Christmas or any other time full stop. I’ll be meeting certain family members at the local park on the day. I believe like yourself that keeping the virus at bay far outweigh anything that Christmas can offer this year.
@Andrew Ongais I wonder how many deaths have been caused by people that don't take this pandemic seriously who have recklessly come into close contact with others that have serious comorbidities and were trying to keep their distance.
@@lauramenzies9042 Don’t be an idiot, I want to make sure WE ALL live through this and come out the other end intact! Is there something wrong with that?
Yeah in the U.S. you have Thanksgiving and Christmas a month apart. Next two months could be hell. In Canada we have Thanksgiving in October and we had a spike because of it.
@Dave Smith it was an enormous increase in deaths, total cases, test positivity rate, etc. We had some of the lowest numbers in Canada for population and now we are the highest in Manitoba. Whole province is in Code Red.
I really wish people in the US would listen and understand they have people's lives in their hands. I am isolated at home and my husband just tested negative but he does all of the shopping and errands. He does however wear a mask and washes hands before coming near me. I know how lucky I am that he protects me. Why can't others do what is needed as well. I am tired of hearing about their rights to not follow the guidelines.
Unless you are isolated on a mountain devoid of human contact not consuming any products made in the past year you cant avoid it. Just calm down. Do some research. You dont want to have wasted a whole year worrying about a cold.
There are unfortunately too many people who like to demand their rights, while ignoring their responsibilities. I wonder if my stalker will want to reply to this,..
My local grocery store staff have been wonderful, I’m grateful to them and the truckers and others who have provided an uninterrupted food supply chain for all of us, despite the risks to themselves.
Dr. Campbell, according to the U.K. government website, the clinically extremely vulnerable (former shielders) CAN form Christmas bubbles, although they are advised to weigh up the risks!! I’m already in a bubble with my parents, but as my father is “extremely vulnerable” I won’t be spending Christmas with them, unless I can self-isolate for 14 days beforehand. I don’t agree with the three household rules at all. We’ve gone from “Don’t kill Grandma” to “License to Kill”. I really feel that people need to reevaluate their priorities.
Educationalist, Essential Health Care Worker, and, in this video, Cultural Anthropologist. Thank you Dr. John! Be safe, stay well, and please know how much You are appreciated!
As "vunerables", my husband and I have decided to sit still this Xmas as we want to be here next Xmas and many more after that. It is hard not seeing the grandchildren but after watching your videos, I am more certain than ever that we are doing the right thing.
Just out of interest how do you know you will even be here next Christmas? You could also perish for any other reason in the meantime. Life is for living not just existing, that’s what’s been missed throughout all of this. No one is coming out of this alive in the long run. You have to live for the now, it’s the only time that exists, the past and future are just abstracts, they don’t exist the now does. God forbid but What if your grandchildren died before Christmas next year? you’ll damn sure wish you’d spent this one with them..
Thank God for the European Enlightenment. It's enabled Western culture to develop a respect for science and reason. Sadly, Critical Theory and the news media (both the legacy press AND Silicon Valley) seem to be actively corroding our culture. It's like we are returning to mediævalism.
@@associatedblacksheepandmisfits the Iceland article you linked to is similar to Australia too. We had a hiccup yesterday, two people were found with Sars-Corona-virus 2 infections. They were immediately quarantined. The thing about Australia and New Zealand is their isolation, low population density and their lack of dependance on foreign currency from tourists and so on. We remain in a fragile state though. Unlike Iceland Australia is banking on its isolation to see it through. One slip up and we are back to square one. Personally, with 43% of infections being asymptomatic, I'm not sure track and chance can operate very successfully in densely populated countries? I hold out for acceptance of pharmaceutical therapy. The Ivermectin+ and the Math+ pharmaceutical cure most people.
US citizens drink COLD beer; in the UK, you drink lovely room temperature beer and lagers. Happy Thanksgiving wishes from the US. We are very thankful for your videos!!!
Thanks, John. My kids been virtual schooling since September, I have been going to your virtual classes since early February. I try not to miss a lecture. You've really helped. Cheers.
My wife and I are in the 36% group. We don’t do thanksgiving. It was the two of us last year. It will be the two of us this year. My guess is most people in that group don’t celebrate thanksgiving.
That was what I was wondering about that number. I mean, I've answered some of these Covid questionairies and sometimes given similar answers because of similar reasons. Yes I will fly abroad as much this year as I did last year (that is, not at all, I haven't been on an airplane since 2009). Sometimes such numbers are more a result of how a question was framed than a reflection of reality.
@@markfcoble Your comment doesn't even make sense - the OP is saying they never do Thanksgiving anyway. What does that have to with obeying??? The trolls are out, I guess.
So glad I found your channel, Dr. Campbell. I am a public health nurse in the US and have been looking for a learned expert voice of reason through this pandemic and now feel I have found one. I have watched many of your videos and appreciate your time spent on research and logical explanation. Thank you sir!
Aww, agreed. I don't venture out much to the supermarket these days but yes, whenever I do, I always give a big tip to the clerks who pack and push out my shopping to the car. It's awesome to see their faces light up when I extend the tip and tell them to keep safe. People need to know others care, especially at this time. I think it makes a huge difference in how people cope with living through a pandemic. Best wishes.
I've slipped a lot of people when I've done curbside a 5 or 10. They are constantly going in and out all day long, being within 1-2 ft of people and their cars, and some of these people in their cars ARE NOT WEARING masks with the window down when they get their order.
2500 deaths ,Deaths per day. So the Thanksgivers would not only have killed those Turkeys, they would have killed( even if indirectly) that many fellow Americans,!!
Proper attenuation of the virus has become a matter of tribal identification. Expectations of rational thought diminish by the day. Running out of medical care workers may overwhelm the US before any vaccines become available.
Absolutely agree with the grocery workers I felt sorry for them from the start even now you go in Tesco's at 4pm after school and there is no end of parents in there with kids without masks on picking trivial things up like toilet roll letting their little turds run riot picking stuff up running about and people with lanyards most of which can wear masks but use them as a badge of honour to not wear one. Well done grocery workers, unsung heroes tbh.
Thank you!! I work in a grocery store and it's been so stressful. People have not been the nicest at times and working in the home delivery area we can't social distance. It's been so stressful and right now there are 3 people that tested positive in our area. My hands are so dried out from the sanitizer but if it keeps us safe I can deal with it. No big gathering in our house for Thanksgiving. Just the 3 of us but from the size of orders I can only imagine how many are having big dinners. Stay safe and thank you for keeping us informed.
Thank you for acknowledging the grocery workers. They are the unsung heroes. Most do not get hazard pay so they're earning very little and while they were allowed to call off for respiratory illness earlier in the pandemic I've got it straight from the horse's mouth (from my old coworkers) that this is no longer the case. If you have a cough or even a fever but you have used up your 3 call off days in 6 months, you have to go to work or risk getting fired until you can show a positive covid test.
Nice Christmas dinner, end up dying in January, I'm afraid I won't be taking the risk!!!! I want lots more christmase's not just one more!!! Thankyou John as always xxxx
@George Robartes I had an adverse reaction. I got all achy. I think I might have ran a slight fever but I didn't confirm it with a thermometer. I felt like shit and I'm just now recovering. At least I wasn't sick for long. The adverse effects that I got was a good thing because it was my body producing a robust immune response. I'm glad I got this robust immune response because it tells me that the inoculation worked and it worked well. When I get my flu shot, I never get any response at all. As a result, I'm at a greater chance of getting the flu than someone who had a robust immune response. My brother Andrew complained how he was sick from his flu shot. I explained to him that he wasn't really sick, he had a robust immune response to the flu shot and that that was a good thing. I'm going to see about getting a titer test for MMR before I go to Washington, DC for the Trump Rally. If my titer levels are too low, I won't go and I'll see about getting a second shot at 4 weeks after the MMR shot I took on the 25th. As the population is densly packed in cities and our children go to schools, vaccines are the best way to keep yourself and your family safe from these horrible diseases. If you get mumps as an adult you can end up sterile when the disease settles in your testicles. Polio th-cam.com/video/gplA6pq9cOs/w-d-xo.html and rubella. I had a friend who's mom had rubella when he was in the womb. He's mostly blind and he has other deformities as well. I've lost track of him but he would be 71 now. So, yes. I had an adverse reaction to this MMR shot and I'm glad I did. If you have an adverse response to your flu shot, or any immunization, you should be glad also.
Since last year our family grew from about 35 to around 60 because my Dad remarried. (Yes, we all get along and love being together😉) We decided it’s too risky to have that many people together in one place so everyone is doing their own. So, this year it will just be me and my husband. ❤️
I live in Indiana. Thanksgiving - we are preparing food at home, meet at one person's house, quickly distribute the food, one car at a time, then go home to eat. We all miss each other but we are willing to sacrifice get togethers to be together in future years. Grandparents and 2 grown children with their children.
How tragically ironic that people wanting to be with family over the holidays and not willing to forego one season may result in foregoing all future seasons for those who pass away as a result.
Thankfully Ontario just announced the limiting of Christmas gatherings to your own single family living under the same roof, unless you are living alone and you can join one family.
Yes, changing behaviours is very difficult for some people. Cigarette smoking, drinking alcohol or coffee - these can be behaviours people have difficulty changing. Asking people to avoid social gatherings or wearing a mask is a lot and some people just can't do it.
My neighbor went to go visit her grandchildren for Mother's Day and died of COVID-19 three weeks later. She went against the Stay At Home Orders. Her last words to me were " I would rather die than not see my children and grandchildren." Her family learned the hard way the importance of mask wearing and quarantine measures. I am a first time Grandma this year. My daughter and her husband adopted three children. We all quarantined 6 months and tested before we met and we take precautions very seriously. My son and his wife just had a Baby. I quarantined for 30 days, not even essential grocery shopping, and tested, before my granddaughter's birth. Just so I could safely see her. Now I am celebrating Thanksgiving at home with only members of my own household. We will video chat with other family members. I think we could safely meet in person if both families agreed to quarantine for one month and test prior. But I do not want to encourage traveling and meeting outside of one's own household. I am trying to be a good rollmodel for my family and clients. Unfortunately I live in a country full of people who would rather eat one marshmallow NOW. I personally know 26 people, all different ages, who have died of COVID-19. They all had one thing in common. They all believed the lie" COVID-19 can't happen to me." They all chose to meet in groups indoors not wearing masks. Their friends and families are still grieving their losses. I encourage everyone I know to take vitamin D3 and to wear well fitting P95 masks and eye protection. I think we are going to lose many more people to COVID-19. All because they chose to meet in groups indoors during Thanksgiving , Hanukkah and Christmas. I wish you all a Safe holiday season. Please celebrate responsibly. I am sending love and hugs from Washington State, USA, Jeanne of In Loving Hands Counseling and ASMR
There are only 6 for me to celebrate with.. I live alone, no children, but we have called off. A quiet day is in order, I'll fix something nice, work on holiday cards and maybe start to decorate.
The most dangerous christmas bauble could be where you have older grandparents mixing with older grandchildren, especially if the kids can't be totally relied on to have been distancing prior to the meet up. Most older grandparents I know are happy to give it a miss this year! Much nicer to look forward to a summer reunion when everyone hopefully can relax and enjoy again.
I've heard friends talk about being bullied by the younger ones . They don't care if their parents are in the vulnerable category. They just want their own way
Thank you for giving us credit! I work at a major chain grocery store in the US. The managers wear Hawaiian shirts...we have been back to back as cashiers (2ft apart no plexiglass btwn workers) for almost 2 months now. Crossing my fingers for after Thanksgiving. At least everyone has a mask on. Staying home w my husband and our child this year. No one extra at all. Staying smart in Connecticut bc the risk is too big. The company says every other register has been shut down company-wide to protect us but they haven’t. Sometimes we are back to back or side by side for up to 2 hours at a time. Every store does what it wants. It’s sad we’re so dispensable. I’m hoping that the risk is small even though we are so close bc we have masks on.
I think this pandemic is going to hasten adoption of more self-checkouts, mobile device scan and checkouts; in other words fewer people to come into contact and fewer jobs. Very rapidly my physicians adopted telemedicine.
Regardless of what anyone else is doing, I plan to continue wearing my mask, sanitizing my hands, and avoiding proximity to other people. Let other people behave recklessly: I can't control them. They'll have to learn the hard way.
@Think Outside The Box I have two members of my extended family in ICU with this virus, one on a ventilator and one on a CPAP machine who’s been on the precipice for 8 days now with no change. It’s not a hoax, it’s quite widespread and it’s seriously virulent. Be careful out there.
@Think Outside The Box Some hospitals are asking for volunteers. They are loosing nurses and doctors. Because your not afraid, it would be very patriotic if you went to volunteer. They don’t have all lots of PPE but most of us are using the same mask over and over again.
My wife works in a hospital and they give us ONE mask every 3 days. Yes, a surgical mask. That's it. In the USA, Indiana (NWI). There still isn't enough PPE available.
Happy Thanksgiving Doc! We have reduced our gathering dramatically to maintain safety. I have been sharing your videos and many friends who are thankful for your knowledge and calming influence. So today you will be part of our gathering... At a safe social distance. Have a wonderful day.
Funny- that culture thing. Mask, distance, sanitize,ventilate.....hopefully will be observed during this holiday but here in mid new york state ,i wonder...my grandson works in a pharmacy...alltogether to many people come in middle of night without a mask or not put on properly.....to many noses out. And get very angry about being reminded...even when broome county numbers were going up. Sad so many selfish people in thiis country.
Sorry to hear it but it's true in WNY too! We're in orange zone maybe red soon. Many like myself take this virus seriously and although tired of it yes, feel like I've come this far I have to keep on keeping on down the home stretch ! I have seen people who have a mask but once in the store they pull it down on their chin. I've heard some get very loud screaming obscenities when asked by workers to please put the mask back on. Hope your grandson is able to hang in there through this tough winter.
Dear Dr Campbell, Thank you for keeping us informed. Shouldn't there be a hotline from every country in the world to the Taiwan Vice-President's office for regular updates of possible incoming future pandemics? The Vice-President of Tailwan, I believe his name is Hu, is a former imunologist or someone in this line of work. When he heard from the grapevine of a new virus coming down the pike last December or January, he immediately put the country into lockdown. If our countries could get feedback directly from Taiwan, we may be able to copy the Taiwanese example and nip the next plague in the bud.
What's this love for loxkdowns, what has happened to a sense of presceptive, this virus is harmless to the vast majority of the population. The vice president of tawain can stay where he is. Do you not value freedom at all?
Hahahaha ha. No. It’s no surprise that’s about the size of trumps hardcore base. Of course they don’t care/believe with him playing it down the whole time.
Well hey at least you know that if at some point in the future a really deadly virus outbreak would occur, you better pack your shit and run as far away as possible. 😂
To ignore Science is a choice. There's also dangerous stupidity. People wilfully choose ignorance. Some people are born stupid. Both groups and some with both characteristics are a threat to the rest of us.
Well I went to the grocery store early today in San Francisco and turned back. It’s packed of Thanksgiving Shoppers! I am celebrating it with my wife and that’s it.
There are a great many people in the U.K. who, I feel, rely on and trust what the government is saying in order to inform their behaviour. Even though the government have suggested people should make their own decisions they really haven’t made the dangers anywhere clear enough. This means that many will believe it’s safe to mix families and age groups at Christmas, as they haven’t been given transparent access to all the relevant information. One of the saddest things about the forthcoming spike will be that families will have to live with the fact they have actually killed other family members, at Christmas. It makes me want to weep for all those tragedies just around the corner. On a more humorous note, I remember during the first lockdown when all the supermarket shelves had been stripped bare, the only thing left on the beer shelves was Corona beer. Just about sums up the general level of understanding! Happy, SAFE thanksgiving to you all in the US.
I'm not gonna black friday eighter. It's not originally in our culture, just came the last years. If people wanna black friday, there are lots of other years they could do so, hopefully. But why do it this year with corona around.
Dear dr.Campbell, I can't thank you enough a for all you do, trying to educate people, and simly safe peoples lives. You are the real Hero. Thank you for your honesty and hard work. Hopefully we all will be safe and smile, after pandemic is over.
Thank you very much John Campbell for Honouring grocery workers. I work as one mostly as a cashier in Sweden the experiment. We have not been allowed to wear face mask up until this time. They have almost given in tho... We the cashiers do have a sheet of plexiglass in front of us. Thats about it. I have seen more and more people wear facemasks tho despite What the authorities say.
As an exchange student it is well known that the “reverse culture shock” upon return to the home country is much more surprising than the plain ol’ “culture shock” when going abroad. I can personally attest to that. Thanks again for another great video. And yes, it is going to get super ugly here in the US.
Thank you Dr John, as an individual with over 50 years experience of working in health car in the Military and NHS, I do not agree with everything you post, but I do respect what you are doing, and your daily posts should be broadcast on the Media in the UK. Thank you.
thankyou dr john for spending so much time and effort to give us regular sensible information at a level that we can all understand. i agree big huge thankyou to all grocery workers the dustmen the post man the delivery package delivery persons they are all hero's and unsung hero's i make a point of saying thankyou everytime i cone into contact (safe distance contact ). because they should know that they are also appreciated. i agree with you that we shall see surges in cases following thanksgiving and christmas . whilst they are big important events i am more than happy to continue keeping myself to my self untill this is all over . i havent hugged my grandchildren since this all began i want to keep them safe . its been a horrible year with this pandemic but taking a year or so out is not the end of the world as there is life after covid one hopes . i say this with a heavy heart as i am conscious of those who have been infected and sadly passed away .
Doctor John Campbell should be awarded an MBE and maybe other awards across the world. Please support, I don't know anyone who has done more to keep us informed and re vitamin D and the use of face mask ect protected. How many lives has he saved by providing solid grounded information. And explained it in a way that the medically uninformed can understand it. Dr John Campbell, (Sir) we are deeply grateful to your time and effort.
Yes! Yes! Nomination forms are on the government website at www.gov.uk/honours. If each of the many thousands of us submit a form nominating John for an award it surely won’t be ignored. Completing the form only takes a fraction of the time that John devotes for our benefit each day. Please join me and let’s inundate the system with our support for him!!
Thanks for all you do, John. I’m happy to skip the holidays and after what I’ve learned about some of my family this year, I don’t care to ever see them again. I have plenty of friends who actually care about more than themselves and believe in facts and evidence instead of lies and propaganda. They are my people.
Probably too late to say this now but I'd suggest, celebrate with your household and put the people who can't be with you on a video call. You can all admire the others' cooking (or be jealous). We marked Anzac Day during the lockdown in Australia. The official suggestion was that people could observe the minute of silence at the entrance to their driveway. Lots of people did that. They published the music for the last post and the reveille for those who wanted to play it. [I ran into problems with the versions being in different keys...] Some people decorated their driveways. Some then continued with the usual drinking that occurs after the dawn service. So it is possible to take an important cultural tradition and find ways to celebrate that don't involve spreading the virus.
My daughter is a grocery worker and has worked flat out through out .thanks so much for your kind words.i showed her this.

I'm a front line health care worker. Thank you for acknowledging, with great warmth & appreciation, the role of the grocery worker x
My husband worked this entire pandemic. He works at a frozen food processing plant. There were cases. Luckily he didn't get sick.
A big thanks from me best wishes from Glasgow scotland
I quit my regular job (restaurant) BECAUSE my coworkers, in the absence of authority, refused to follow CDC recommendations. I told them they do NOT have the right to risk MY life... I also brought it to various levels of management, and all I got for a response was "what do you want ME to do about it?"

As an American, I’m dreading the post-Thanksgiving spike in COVID19 cases. We are starting from such a high number of cases already.
I brazilian, I am praying for America, I see a tragedy coming. People need to realize the danger of that virus
Saw on the news yesterday the US now has “ uncontrolled spread” in every state except Hawaii.....I worry for all my American friends and family
@Dave Smith it's all relative to population. Look it up yourself, I'm hauling straw.
Thank you for recognizing the grocery workers. The same regognition should go to all retail workers during 2020. They are keeping us going.
My local grocery store staff have been wonderful, I’m grateful to them and the truckers and others who have provided an uninterrupted food supply chain for all of us, despite the risks to themselves.
Dr. Campbell, according to the U.K. government website, the clinically extremely vulnerable (former shielders)

Yes I will fly abroad as much this year as I did last year (that is, not at all, I haven't been on an airplane since 2009). There's no good reason not to slip these types of workers a 50 or 10. They will NOT be offended, trust me I know.
I travel by myself and I tip housekeepers very well because of what they have to deal with.

Yikes! I left a store this week after seeing 4 adults without masks and hearing 2 coughing. Will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

I just got an MMR vaccine today. I'm going to stay hunkered down until December 9th, the day two weeks after I got my shot.
Polio th-cam.com/video/gplA6pq9cOs/w-d-xo.html
and rubella.
Thats the right thing this year!
I live in Indiana. Thanksgiving - we are preparing food at home, meet at one person's house, quickly distribute the food, one car at a time, then go home to eat. We all miss each other but we are willing to sacrifice get togethers to be together in future years. Grandparents and 2 grown children with their children.
Thanks John. I never tire of listening to your uploads.
Do you want one marshmallow now or two marshmallows five minutes from now?

Your health and safety rep should get barriers in place. They should have been given Covid regulations to work to.

I only shop at 7am right when they open. Not many people then. I did that before the pandemic and still do it.

Thank you for respond. Evry person is by himself in a fight with Corona, iven if he is a governor
I have toldf my family im staying home for thanksgiving as well as they are too. Its just not worth the risk.... we will see what next yr brings.
Thank you.
Dr john you are an amazing person I have been with you from day 1 we should all listen to everything you broadcast thank you from newcastle under lyme
thankyou dr john for spending so much time and effort to give us regular sensible information at a level that we can all understand. i agree big huge thankyou to all grocery workers the dustmen the post man the delivery package delivery persons they are all hero's and unsung hero's i make a point of saying thankyou everytime i cone into contact (safe distance contact ). because they should know that they are also appreciated. i agree with you that we shall see surges in cases following thanksgiving and christmas . whilst they are big important events i am more than happy to continue keeping myself to my self untill this is all over . i havent hugged my grandchildren since this all began i want to keep them safe . its been a horrible year with this pandemic but taking a year or so out is not the end of the world as there is life after covid one hopes . i say this with a heavy heart as i am conscious of those who have been infected and sadly passed away .
Could the anti-vaxers kindly pass their dose over to us Canadians who can't seem to manufacture their own?
Leave it to the incomparable Dr. John to give such an articulate, heart-felt, and accurate tribute to grocery workers.
Thanksgiving is indeed a big cultural event. Many of us are all tied up in knots making decisions on how to celebrate safely.
@@resourcedragon or one could live life and not be frighten of a virus with infection death rate of 3-5 in a 1,000
Good talk about culture. We have 2 streams of news, 2 streams of belief in reality here in the US. Thank you for your talk about grocery workers.
Many thanks once again for all your wonderful insights.👍
I also commend the truck (lorry) drivers who get the groceries to market. Everything would sit still without them.
