    Hello Auro! Great progress as usual! Here is some feedback!
    - the powerful items can be a one time use like the potion, or, if you have a special weapon , it will go into a broken state and can be repaired in the next village/town
    - since you want to have that variable change the difficulty of the battle, you could add some random stages with bosses on the path that are harder than normal fights, but can award the player with those powerful items you were talking about!
    - extra challenges are cool, but too simple. You can do some extra challenge where the player has to defeat the enemies in a given amount of turns.
    - too many fire skills :)) As for water interacting with fire, you can just make fire stop spreading when it goes over the first water tile. Also Kraken breathing fire? more like it spits water since it is basically a giant octopus!
    Can't w8 for your next devlog! I slowly started working myself on a real time turn based combat system like FF 13 while watching your videos! Keep up the good work!

      Thanks for the feedback! :) More complex extra challenges sounds like a fun idea! And yeah I agree that I'm starting to have too many fire skills - need to focus on other types too :D

      @@AuroDev Just got some challenge ideas for ya:
      - push x enemy into the arena hole
      - kill enemy by environment disaster
      - duel type combat 1v1
      - smash enemies into each other
      - don t use any ultimate skills
      - have all characters live/ no ressurection

    Love the idea of gaining powerful skills with trinkets!
    When combining fire and water I'd expect to both disappear, maybe water can be a way to protect against fire?
    I like the idea of elements moving and spreading!

      Both disappearing could also be a nice alternative. Will have to think about it during testing phase!

    Great work, Auro! I think many of these ideas sound pretty solid. I especially like the spreading fire although I was a bit skeptical of moving blood. Do you mean just additional blood splatters from enemies or is the blood literally moving on the battlefield? Perhaps there is some sort of lore reasoning behind this that I don't have the context for but it sounded a little strange to me. Either way, thanks for sharing your progress. I'm eager to see another devlog soon!

    • @AuroDev
      @AuroDev  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! The moving blood will be fairly rare. Normally it won't move, but I added an acquirable perk that makes every tile move that this specific unit creates. If you hit a unit that has the perk, the blood will also start to move since blood tiles follow the same rules as other tiles (like fire f.ex.) and it was "created" by the unit that was hit. I thought it was a funny unscripted interaction so I decided to leave it in the game :)

    Might be overdoing the fire stuff. Maybe add player options that allow modification of the chance for fire to spread.
    Fire consuming water is probably fine but maybe lower the chance that the fire has to spread into water tiles.
    Fires in a tile should probably also burn out after a certain period. Maybe that's a thing already.
    You could add a different type of fire. Maybe a magical fire that is purple and burns faster but for a shorter period of time.
    You could add water barrels that if broken extinguish the fires in neighboring tiles. Could be a fun thing to try and run to a barrel and break it to escape burning to death.

      All the tiles also have durations (I'll likely later add some scaling visuals to make it more obvious how long the duration is) and for fire specifically it is set so that when the duration is high, it will start spreading but otherwise stay still. Other types of fires is a cool idea! The water barrel is something I might add too if it will have enough use cases in battle.

    will the effects of the javelin last the whole match?
    for example, if you throw it at an enemy they take damage each turn, and become weaker,
    as if they were suffering from blood loss

    • @AuroDev
      @AuroDev  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would likely be a bit too powerful that way! I'll have different types of dots in the game though - maybe some usable with items.
