question, is it normal for the propilot to brake so so so hard at every slow down?

I don't have the Pro-Pilot but I do have the Intelligent cruise on my Versa and I have the same concern with the abrupt braking not only if a car in front gets too close but also going down a slight decline. At night I can see the third brake light on from the glow around it in the back window. I think the brakes are on quite a bit even if it isn't noticeable. The people behind me must think I am a brake rider. 😀

certainly right here Stephen I notice that too that it does apply the brake a lot harder then a traditional driver would more ease into the braking to make for a smoother deceleration

@@carsunlocked Sometimes I worry about people reacting too "worriedly" behind me when that happens. I make it a habit to cancel the cruise control when going down hill, even mild descents so the brakes are not abruptly trying to slow me down.

Another great video once again about the Pro Pilot. I used it a few times before on my 2020 Nissan Rogue SL and it’s so great to have and now in my new Nissan Rogue SL, I’m looking forward to using it again on the high ways.

@@carsunlockedabsolutely and I love how it slows down the car when another car is in front and then it resumes after.

I do love the propilot lane assist. But for some strange reason mine has stopped functioning (2024 xtrail) With everything switched on it will drift across lanes without intervention and if I take my hands off the wheel I get no warnings now. This worked flawlessly since I got the car but I've been head scratching on this trying to figure out why it's not working. Thoughts on this?

make sure your front sensors are not covered in dirt or ice

One more useful video! Thanks! So does it turns off and let you crash if you don't take control for long time? Or it will slowly stop the car?

it shuts off and the car slows down

Be mindful also, if you put a steering wheel cover on, the Steering Assist will not notice your hands off the wheel...i think it depends on the heaviness of the cover..you can turn off SWA though.
