I haven't done the ebook + audiobook but that sounds SO annoying??? Why doesn't it follow along? So frustrating -- I was planning on doing that with The Wicked King and now I'm afraid 😩 I think Happy Place is definitely one of her more romance-y books. The other books, I would feel like I would categorize it more as a woman's literary fiction 🥰 I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much because it was also AMAZING for me. I liked Funny Story >> Beach Read. Haven't read any of her other books yet though!
I would say that Abby Jimenez is a close read to Emily Henry!

Yeah I think that ebook was just weird, it usually work great for me! And I just picked up Funny Story so I’m excited to get to it now!!!
