People say it's not a "real" GMT but that's what the Rolex GMT Master used to be like. It is enough to track 2 time zones while with adjustable GMT hand it's possible 3.
I have several Vostok watches in my watch collection and I think they're interesting and fun to mod. As far as accuracy is concerned, I've taken mine to my local Watchmaker and he's regulated them. Once you've had them regulated they keep great time!
I need a 170 fpr my collectiom and was seriously thinking about getting this one but a 170891 fully lumed dial came up used but as bew .Will be my 8th .Ijust love em
Put my email on their web site got mail when in stock, got one, very impress with it, some people saying not accurate, must have got lucky ,mine very accurate.
The GMT-hand isn't adjustable separately, you're sure? A friend of mine has bought himself the Pagani Root beer hommage, there's a point when pulling the crown out where only the GMT hand is adjustable, a mm more or less and it moves with the other hands like in your video.
The DG movement in the Pagani is a "true GMT" with an independent GMT hand whilst the Vostok is a dual time zone movement with the GMT hand slaved to the normal hour hand.

Already have 2 vostoks, but would love to get this one when it becomes available again
The case back is a great design. The Rolex Deepsea uses a very similar design as well as some vintage Blancpain. Great review. Thanks.
Best feature you can get on a Vostok is a no date feature.
Haha. Yeah setting date is not fun
Have to agree. It's a bit like owning another vintage piece.
@@red75v67 yes that's exactly how I view it, like modern vintage. Made in a factory that's been Operating thr same way for 60 years
@@mrbacchus6127 It's part of the Vostok addiction!
A couple of my favourite Vostoks have date complications...I don't think I could cope....so they'll probably sit on the wish list...
Wow... that's a good looking watch.
Sorry, my bad. I typed 170863 :D 170863 is the version with a date window at the 3 o'clock position.
Love the quirks of Vostok.
Love the Omega-ish bezel and no date! I have the iconic Scuda Dude an the date feature is a turn-off every time I want to wear it 😅
Careful with these.. they are addictive.. just saying!

I love Vostok’s. I’ve had mine for a few months now and it’s great. I made a couple of videos on it too!

Great to see the Russian Batman selling out as quick as their Swiss counterpart.
I’ve often seen 170862 and 170863 referred to on reddit as Blyatman
@@Reptilia12 hahaha - just FYI - Blyat is a common Russian curseword
Thats a nice one. I am thinking of getting another.
I love vostoks for the money I actually think they are great watches not the most accurate but great watches cheers Rob 👍
My 6 are all regulated to within 5s/day. Really easy with a timegrapher.
Nice one I have been wanting one for a while now going to pick one up definitely cheers mate 👍
You can tighten up the bezal
You just need to bend the spring underneath.
Sometimes reinserting that bezel after tightening it is the hardest thing in the world
Looks killer man... Love it
Thats exactly how I set my actual GMT so that would work just as well for me.
Aren’t these things bullet proof???? But people still lust over expensive fragile Swiss and German watches.
I have a Hamilton Khaki Field quarts watch that uses a similar system , it has 2 case backs the outer and the inner that has the gasket underneath it.
I have never been bite by the Vostok brand
Its 170862, not 170863. 3 is even better, but unavailable for at least 6 months.
Thanks
Signed crown probably means it may be a special edition; unless the owner changed it? But a SE also usually comes with a different case back. hmmm...
Das Ziffernblatt ist so wunderschön ! Wenn Vostok diese Uhr in einem 420 Gehäuse verbaut würde ich sie sofort kaufen !! 🙄

Love the look & story of vostok watches, had 3, but they're just too inaccurate and fragile for me. Shame. Very cool looking. Cheers 👍🏻
Hmm....I ran this model number by Meranom and its a different watch. It comes with a date window at 3pm...

170862 model
I wonder who buys this s**t???
