When you put GoW above DS3/DS2 I was happy to see that someone actually agrees on those exact points why GoW is better than those games. IMO the combat is better as well. When it clicks you just feel like a total badass god of war. It's much smoother and impactful whereas DS series is just spamming 1-2 of the same attacks.

You have to remember that Quin only played Factorio for couple hours, did death world in a desert without building anything for 30 to 60 minutes and called it a win. He hasn't even played the actual game.

@@Netherghoul the amount of souls like that come out in this past few years is insane, it doesn't matter if dark souls did not technically reinvented the wheel, it did however polished it's mechanics to such a height that a lot of developers now a days takes inspiration from, also zelda games are definitely dark souls got most it's mechanics inspiration more not ninja gaiden.
Fromsoft is definitely the most influential in this generation and it's not even close.

Other than that its in my Top 3 Game series. So I cant really talk down too much. But its definitely a bunch of fadchasers that recently hopped on the bandwagon that have tainted its perception.
They are not a generation defining studio. Souls/Soulslike Games are Not a Halo, Runescape/WoW Etc.

This guy's tear list is what people think but are afraid to say it. Mine would be pretty similar with a few changes here and there like for example I'd take all of those Dark Souls games and Souls - like and put them in Bad. Cyberpunk, Detroit Become Human and God Of War will have to go there too, maybe even Dog Tier. Stray is literal cat litter box. Don't Starve goes in Amazing and Minecraft - God Tier(easily the most influential game in the last 15 years or more).

GoW Ragnarok not being as good as the first one? The only way to be true to yourself on that statement is playing them back to back.
GoW Ragnarok had a better story, a better combat system and a bigger world overall without sacrificing quality.
I'm pretty ok with this and I know you don't like scrollers and it's your list, but for others, Hollow Knight is at least in 'Amazing.' The most confusing thing is why you haven't played Red Dead Redemption. Both RDR1 or RDR2 would be at the top of your God Tier list. Those are two of the best games of all time.
