That was a great advertisement! Made me check their page, even though I live in Europe :D By the way, have you ever tried cooking after shattering the stars?! Enjoy some cool, old school storytelling with the #starshatter books :)
Greetings from far far away from Latvia. I did enjoy this video so much that I decided to subscribe. Keep up the good hard work!!
This recipe will make the whole family happy! Big hugs from Spain and we'll take a look at that link!
You're a legend Kent
What color is that Ariat jacket you have? Closest I found was crocodile brown.
Another year gone by and Kent still looking the same . Another awesome soul that doesn’t age.
Both of you take care . Enjoy the holidays !
thank you my friend
@@CowboyKentRollins you’re welcome, any time !
He learned the same secret Casey Casum did. ^-^
That's just what I was thinking. If it's the fried pies that stop aging then count me in!
@@toweypat 😂 I agree 😁
Bacon powder.. place bacon bits in a sandwich bag and get to pounding(I mix with breadcrumbs when I make meatloaf)
I'm definitely going to do this next time
That's a GREAT idea! Need to try it
I’m gonna try that.
That's crazy enough to be awesome!
Two words: food processor..😉
I gave my son, TWO middle names. So if I used all four... He knew he was REALLY in trouble 😂
Also, he's the one who sent me this video, requesting these for Christmas.
good thinking
And you should make em for him hahaha
I'm going to say this, I love your recipes. But I absolutely love your thanks to those that currently serve, and even bigger thanks to recognize our veterans. I learned a few things. But that recognition and tip of the hat brings me back every time.
This man is a national treasure. We must protect him at all cost.
I live extremely close to a huge Mennonite community right on the edge of the border between Southern Kentucky and Middle Tennessee, and there’s a bakery that will keep you coming back for more every time. They actually sell their fried pies in the local convenience stores!
Those pies look really good. My grandmother made fried pies. My favorite was dried apricot pies. Her apple pies were good too. I sure wish I could have some of her fried pies.
Old Fashioned Fried Apple Pie
that brings back memories of
when I was a kid here in Oklahoma
especially during the holidays have a wonderful Merry Christmas and Thank You very much Kent.🇺🇲🤠🍏🥧🤠🇺🇲
I can't tell you how much your videos and recipes mean to me! I grew up on a farm and always made our own sausage, bacon, steaks, ribs and raised our chickens and eggs, grew our corn, watermelons, tomatoes, okra, potatoes, sweet potatoes, oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons, apples, figs, grapes (muscadine and table grapes), blueberries, figs and more. When my precious Dad passed away so much was lost from everyone but me! I dream of having this again! And as I watch your beautiful videos I feel so close to my roots! Thank you so much! God bless you! Merry Christmas!❤🙏💕💝🎄❄🎁
Well, this made me miss my grandmother, Granny ver, and her delicious fried pies. She never added apple cider vinegar, but I'm going to give it a whirl. Merry Christmas Kent to you & yours.❤🎄❤
We love fried pie! Unbelievably good 🥧🎅🐻
Those look delicious Kent. I did your sourdough crust and blueberry creamcheese turnovers a few years ago. Excellent! Have a great week my friend and God Bless! Cheers!
Thank you Kent and Shannon for another great recipe and for your support of our military and veterans. As a retired member of the Army, I really appreciate your kind words. Your fried pie looks absolutely delicious. Another way to make pies is to use a pie iron over a campfire (or coals), but fried is probably the best!!! Thank you again.
We thank you so much for your service
Oooh those looks amazingly yummy 😋🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
You're right there with Bob Ross and Mr. Rogers with me. Wholesome, genuine, American. You're a North star in these times Cowboy Kent. I'll be making this recipe for the family on Christmas, thank you and God bless you and yours sir.
Yesss! Perfect description of him.
A friend of mine has built up a pretty good small business selling fried pies at a local farmers' market. I was astounded at how popular the fried pies are... so many of our customers tell us the fried pies bring back memories of their Mama's or their Grandma's cooking.
Hostess has been selling them for decades
They remind me of my gramma, and it’s one recipe I wish I had of hers ..
Where, please?
Your customers must be at least in their 50s! Or you live in a rural area.
@@robert48044. Not hot out of the oil. Fried fresh pies!
Good afternoon from Syracuse NY brother and everyone else thank you for sharing your adventures in cooking
Grandma used to cut in the butter with two butter knives, one in each hand, cutting opposite ways. Worked just fine!
Years ago when I was growing up in Texas I used to buy Bruce's Fried Pies at the local stores. You could heat the apple pies up and put some Blue Bell vanilla ice cream on them.......OH man was it good!
They were the best store bought fried pies I have ever had, they did not have that awful frosting on it like all others do. They were a family run company and used good Ingredients . A few years ago ( 2010 or so) I tried to find them online to order some pies ( I now live in Va. ) sadly they had gone out of business sometime back in late 80s early 90s. They also made small pecan and coconut pies as well. My favorite was the apple and chocolate fried pies though.
They use to have a fried pie place In Oklahoma City when I lived there years ago, right down the street from Putnam city high school, they were so delicious!!! These remind me of them so much!! Love ya Kent much love from broken bow
Kent, my Grandmama used to make something called “butter pies”. A thin crust and butter and sugar on the inside. You know the butter and sugar make delicious hard candy.
Yep I used to make sugar candy in a little foil pouch over the stove when I was a tot...wish I'da known about the butter too. Mom didn't know about my doins!
When I was young we would gather crab apples and dry them for fried pies, and apple stack cakes. That made for some very good eating.
I love that you live and work like 40 miles from me. All your cookin is the same as my mommas. She grew up in Stamford TX in the 40’s-50’s
I thought my grandmothers recipe was the best. Move over grandma, Kent has kicked it up a notch!
I love a good crust almost as much as the filling.
Just in time for Christmas and New Year! I'm looking forward to making them. Thanks Kent! God bless you Kent, Shan and pups! 😃👍♥️
Love, love, love your pan you mixed you dough in. I have searched for years for one and if I did they were way too expensive. Delicious!
Sour Apple Pie made with light brown sugar is my favorite version of apple pie.
Oh my goodness!!! My Aunt Lois used to make her pie crust like that!!!! Best there ever was!!!
Grandma and Moma used dried apples to make fried pies. I think it turns out better than fresh or can apples. We loved them,a special childhood memory.
Our family enjoys your content. Thank you. 🇺🇲
Hi Melinda🌹🌹
How are you doing?
I won't abandon you on account of no meat!! Love them apples!! Bring it on.
I love Beef Wellington! That was priceless!!
Your fried pies look so good' thank you for sharing with us.God bless.
I don't think I have ever seen a crust without an egg in it. I will be trying that soon
Thanks for the video. Fried pies! Yum!!!
I need to cut down on sugar but this really made me want to try this recipe, it looks great.
Takes me back to my great grandma’s house. 😋🤤
Good and hungry now my friend. Blessings and Merry Christmas
I love Kent, from Cape cod and Northern Vermont , lots of cows and maple syrup in Vermont.. Cod fish and clams on Cape Cod
Looks like it would be amazing with vanilla ice cream as well
Yum! These would be great on the horse trail.
It looks great! Good job Kent!
Heck yea! Those pies with some vanilla bean ice cream. 👌🇺🇸
Thank you for this wonderful video!
👍 I treat the butter the same way when I'm making cookies😊
Keep them comin' Brutha!! Love your show!!
Evelyn , a lady in Oklahoma makes the best chocolate fried pies , ever!
Looks good. Merry Christmas to you and everyones.❤
I make fried pies for the grandkids and they love them! But I have been using store bought pie crust. Going to try this method.
Yeeee-haaaa and Happy Holidays from Canada!

Looks delicious!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I love apple pie in any shape or form but fried apple pie has to be the best. I will try to make it this weekend. Happy holidays to you both, God bless.
I like them ones with the fork

Delightful!
Hey Mr.Kent , my little brother has down syndrome he is in and out of hospital and he loves you ! You keep him In good spirits he calls you his papa ❤
Love it Kent from the 🇬🇧
Cold is always the best way Mr and Ms Rollins. Just ask Wim Hof.
My grandpa said the exact same thing, doesn’t matter what you put in the middle , it’s about the Crust!
LOOKS GOOD AND YUMMY TO EAT
If anyone was curious, the worcestershire sauce is pronounced "woostershire". Knowledge is power! 🤣
Also, "warsh your sister sauce" .....
If you have a little apple filling left over, it would be tasty spooned over ice cream.
That would be good
The only thing I'd add is a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar once they pop put the oil while they cool. That's a fine lookin empenada though!
I laughed with the husband beater 😂😂😂
By the way, this is Geeeeez, soooo mouthwatering.....
I'm gonna try those at Christmas
Congrats on the Ariat sponsorship
Sorry I had to pause and shop at the Ariat store. Back to pies now. 😅
Momma used to sprinkle powder sugar on her's but they were the size of the 12 inch cast iron frying pan
first time ive heard of ACVinegar or Vodka or Bacon powder in pie crust!!! But OF COURSE, Granny Smith is the quintessential apple pie apple!!!
🕊️ Hi Kent 🐶 Shannon 🇺🇲
🕊️ Merry Christmas 🌲👪
🕊️ Happy New Year 🎊 Everyone
2024 🥂
Can i get one of those pies, Kent?
Lookin' good in those fancy Ariat duds!
I. Guess it's true what they say Kent. Behind every good man is a good woman. Shan🎉
Okay those look really good. Bet they’ll be better with maple sugar instead of cane sugar. Perhaps a smidge of cinnamon or nutmeg, or perhaps both. 🤔will have to experiment.
😂 I do okay cooking with vodka but I can’t hang curtains and drink moonshine! 😂
Well, I learned something new today, add apple cider vinegar to my crust. Will definitely do this next time I make fried pies.
Bacon powder- cook bacon to well done, then grind bacon in food processor till you have a fine consistency.
Now I want pie, but I’m too busy and I despise doing dishes.
Well, refried pie it is.
Kent , your a super model 🙏🌲
I love me some apple pie yummy
And all this time I thought your first name was Cowboy! :)
My grandma would make the best apple pies, she'd make them every year for our family reunions & if you didn't hide one for yourself you wouldn't get one. 😢
TFS ❤you are amazing ❤️
Mmm American Pie, good enough to...
I get my hanger steaks at Yoder’s Sausage kitchen in Jamesport, MO for $7.99/lb
Awsome
Trail style desert to go with some pheasant and mashed potatoes
"Rodney Kent Rollins, get your butt in the house NOW ! And bring the rest of you too !"
LOL
Love it Brother. :)
3:26 I'm dominican and I can testify that your mother calling you by your full name is an universal sign that you're in deep troubles 😂😂
If I had a first name of Rodney I’d go with with Kent myself.😂
Hello Kent. So your full name is Rodney Kent rollins . Cool 😎
