he was silent gen so he was our father us gen x kids he went through all genre 50s 60s 70s 80s 90s 2 ks yeah i would say he is the true father of metal!
Wish there was some old footage of them performing. I saw them a few times when they playing in my area of CT. It was kind of comical since Dio and Feisten were so short really looked like elves onstage. But they were a great band. They did mostly covers anytime I saw them. Of course, when Roger Glover from Deep Purple heard Ronnie, everything changed.
@@Nissardpertugiu yes, they transitioned to full original sets once they got a record deal and went pro, this was circa 1972, all of this is explained by RJD himself on his recently published memoir
If you didn't already know his voice, it would be tough to connect this pop-oriented material with Ronnie did later with Rainbow (or even under the name Elf).
Ronnie James Dio was a gift to us all.
Such a rich piece of 60's music. So lively, melodic, colorful. The best 60s bands seem to be the most obscure ones.

How did West Virginia not become a hit back then? Hillarious
Великолепные хиты в духе своего времени. Слушаю с удовольствием.

West Virginia is probably the closest his voice sounds to his metal days. These are all so cool!!!

Amazing how Rainbow originated from Elf and Deep Purple!
I hate doing homework, but I did it anyway.
I wish more people knew about Dio. He's not only the king of metal, he's a grand wizard of majik! Unlike Ozzy, who is just a coked out puppet.
Trevor Foreman I agree 100% with you. Dio was great all the time!!!
Thank you 🤘
I Gotta Have More Cowbell!
