no panic ! 3 to 0 panthers really scored 1 soft 1. need to play like we did middle 10 of the 3rd, get shots and traffic and finish. 2 posts, breakaway by a man. we r fine. panthers beat us at our own game and bounces went the other way this time
some one needs to answer the hit on chytil at end of game. clean hit but it was unnecessary with 3 secs left in game
Schneider needs to step up, miller too with some hits. Someone needs to blast Tkachuk

If the roles were reversed every Panther would have been looking to fight, not 1 Ranger even did anything and the game was over so cant say you didn't want a penalty, again this team is soft aside from Rempe
Im a big rempe fan want to see him in the lineup , i just worry people have unrealistic expectations of him being some game changer its alot of pressure to put on a 5 min a game kid.
Bob stopped 2 or 3 breakaway opportunities. Rangers had missed opportunities, and a couple of pucks ring off the goal bars. Rangers could’ve won this game easily. I’m a Panthers fan, but I think the next game will be much closer or the Rangers might win. I think the Rangers will be more physical in game two, but that’s more of the Panthers’ identity and the Rangers don’t want to get into that game with them. The Panthers are relentless hyenas. A lot of people see this series going 7 games. Panthers better not half-step into game two. Oddsmakers have it very close with Panthers -115, Rangers -105. I think this series is the Stanley Cup.
You’re delusional if you think the Rangers had a chance in that game. The Panthers hit a couple posts as well.

Zac has never embarrassed on D, and he makes excellent pinches into the O zone.
Agree, Rempe must play G2. Sit Chytil or Kappo and resort 3L & 4L, they were invisible in G1.
You guys nailed this. The NYR also need to exit their zone through the middle of the ice. Florida is just waiting on the boards and picking off the puck every time - they need to mix it up and keep Florida guessing. LGR!!!
I think the extra rest for this series hurt them it looks like they had nothing
I agree with mostly everything you guys said. But what the hell is going on with kakko. If he added some speed to his game he would be a dangerous player. But damn is he slow as shit and this is coming from someone who likes kakko play style.
the game was not as chippy as I thought it would be
NYR need to change strategy to disruot FLA's swarming formation. 1- use more stretch passes and lobs, to use their speed to chase puck, 2- more body-checking to take FLAs players out of position and open up the ice.
FLA lacks speed. They want to play a half-court game. NYR can get pucks behind their defence to create odd man rushes and speed. Have 1 man posted out at centre ice while FLA is trying to pin NYR in own zone, then lob it out to the high man to counter attack
It’s only one sucky game. It was absolutely brutal. It look like a pre season game

As much as I want to agree about Zac Jones (esp with Fox hurt), if he doesn’t move the puck perfectly (which is the hope, and a lot of the puck movement problems has to do with the reach of Florida’s front getting sticks into the passing lanes & protecting the puck along the boards) and takes the body he’s going to get killed by Florida’s forwards. Not that Gustafsson is a big player by any means, but he does have 15lbs on Jones. And I’m not going with Mackey or Ruhwedel over Gustafsson. Best case for Jones is if Fox is seriously injured/impaired and needs to be scratched.
I agree with Chytil and Rempe in lineup . I would pull Vesey or Weinberg . Remember Chitin was Our 2C at beginning of Year . Make Our 3rd line Chytil , Cuylle & Kakko. Our 4th line of Goodrow, Vesey & Rempe. I dont think Weinberg matches up well with panthers . He can't score and doesn't shoot . Rempe will bring the Noise.
I do think both goals were soft. The second goal was more on Igor than Laffy . If he didn't roam that puck is cleared or He is in position . Florida is way more physical than Carolina . they shut down the Bruins same way . halfway thru game 6 Bruins had 4 shots on net . Yes Fox is definitely injured , You can see he has no jump in his skate. when Fox was injured , Jones & Schneider played really well together . Gustafson was brutal and Trouba been very poor.

We have always played well in Sunrise, but must win Game 2 . Btw. we lost Game 1 to Devils at the garden , in 94. This is 7 game series
I think they need Chytil. Fresh legs and he has a scoring mindset. If you bring in Rempe, take out Vesey as he's been meh lately. They need to put Miller and Schneider back together and Gus Bus has to be replaced by Jones or Ruwhedel. They need a puck moving defenseman.
Rangers just gotta make couple tweaks simple get pucks on florida goalie and get on Florida's defense
Im get a ranger jersey, but should i get Panarin or Rempe? I think Rempe is here to stay but i will hate to get his jersey and then not play for us.

Why do you guys think 5 mins of Matt Rempe will help the rangers when their problem was on offense? They need to score, not fight
All you social media Coach/GM wannabes need to calm down with the player and coach bashing. There was nothing glaringly wrong with anyone’s play or the scheme. Not much needs to change as there were plenty of odd-man rushes and sustained pressure. The Cats style makes it tough to move the puck through the neutral zone so it looks like the players aren’t doing much.
What is glaring is that the Panthers were the 2nd most penalized team in the league and didn’t get a single roughing or charging call last night. Let’s see if that continues, and whether we need to match that.
In the end it still comes down to putting the biscuit in the basket. It just didn’t happen last night despite having many chances. Stick with the plan and don’t be so catastrophic when the team doesn’t get a W.
I said it before game 1 & I’ll say it again: Lavi needs to dress Rempe & scratch Kaapo. Have to respond to FA’s forechecking & physicality.
Halfway through 2nd the Rangers looked tired- or maybe they were as bored as I was. Game one was a snoozer.
Agree about replacing Gustafson with Jones & keep Chytil in there. Not so sure about Rempe due to his tendency to accrue penalties. Too many penalties really hurt them in game 1 IMO. Low SOG bc they were down a man defending the whole night. This game was the first time I LOST HOPE by the second period this season. You could see they didn't have it.

Physicality was not the problem, finishing and adding a gear was. And I am annoyed by Gus, but who runs the power play if Fox gets hurt/more hurt?

The Panthers played sloppy that’s what the Rangers fans don’t realize.
That was not the normal Panthers game. They usually attack more and their Defense is more suffocating.
I'm still not sold on Jack Roslovic. For this series I think Blake Wheeler should be inserted as well, along with Rempe. The Rangers need to match the Panthers intensity on the 50/50's.
Why why why did they skate Chytil in G1?
Was it a symbolic thing, to commit to him he's still a worthy Ranger? No point doing that in a game where Rags HAD to set the tone. Wait to play him (if they must) for a clinching game, but not a G7.
Not to be negative.....but it should be time to do damage......one loss in the next game and it's over..... Florida won't drop 4 out of 5 games if they were to win tomorrow. I believe they can bounce back.....but I also believe they MUST WIN

I don't think Rangers are winning this series. Let's be honest. Panthers are more of a complete team right now. If you say Rempe is the savior for the Rangers! Than you're delusional. I'll say Panthers in either 5 or 6. Teams win games not 1 guy. If you dont believe this go ask Lebron James.
