Not giving the kids a chance and keeping players on this team because of NMCs is the reason why this team will NEVER win a cup. I’d turn this organization around by using common sense.
Let Kakko make it or break it on the 1st line. Don’t let Othmann languish in the bottom 6. Much better off in Hartford getting top 6 & PP minutes w/Perreault.
As much as I want Othmann to make the lineup, it does make sense for him to stay in Hartford as long as possible. If he can replicate or do even better than this past season he's gonna be ready to go
here is the problem about nyr development. why do they need to be a perfect product before they get called up? if the player deserves it, create the spot.

Makes no difference. Othman will be beaten up by Florida if they get that far. They need toughness on both lines. And an agitating tough leader like Tkachuk.

From Rick Middleton for Hodge to Brian Leetch for who?? on to 2019 first round pick back to Winnipeg along with Pionk for Trouba, LMFAO. This kid has shown he can play, has desire and gumption. I still say trade Lafreniere while you can before he becomes a Manny Malhotra on a grander scale. This organization is pathetic. And I'm an ass for rooting for them.
I'd still like to see KK back on the top line, with Mika & Kreider, for at least the first 30 games. Make it work, finally, as KK is a puck control, back checking, solid D RW Mika and Kreider require.
But the main problem persists. Kreider AND Mika playing together at even strength. On the PP -- OK. 5 on 5 -- no magic there. A lot more lineup shifting should be considered.

Yes and trade Laughreniere while you can get value in return.
The reason Wayne Gretsky was traded was to help expand the NHL, which it did.

Need to trade for a defenseman that other teams forward will think twice turning their backs to them to play the puck in the corner.

That is correct...The overarching goal for EVERY NHL organization is to win the Stanley Cup...Anything less is a disappointment.
