about 1983. Was living in Vancouver BC. The spousal unit talked me into going to a Super Tramp concert. Unbeknownst to me, a local boy was opening the show. Brian Adams came out in a t shirt and faded jeans. Simple band. Blew the roof off BC Place. When Super Tramp came out, people were chanting for Brian..Brian...Brian. Memorable.
Um,,,,, Bryan ..... That was a great show, was there myself.... Still get goose bumps thinking about Supertramp's closing " Give A Little Bit "...Cheers..Great Memories, yup
Dave Edmund and his early group Love Sculpture were booked for my high school 6 form dance in South Wales Rhondda UK back in 1968....A night i still remember at age age at 73.
I can't think of anyone who could cover this song better than Dave Edmunds. His work with Nick Lowe back in the seventies and eighties was some of the very best stuff that came out of that era.
@Dave Edmunds I never would have expected to post a comment on TH-cam and subsequently receive a shout out from the one and only Dave Edmunds! Of course, given the peculiarities of the internet, it might just be some random joker having a bit of fun, but if this really is Mr. Edmunds, thanks a lot for the greeting and, more importantly, thanks for all the great music you created or helped to create as a guitarist, vocalist, producer writer, and musical director. I can still count on tracks like Girls Talk, Almost Saturday Night, Warmed Over Kisses (who the heck played banjo on that one?), Ju Ju Man, and Creature From the Black Lagoon (one of the best novelty songs ever!) to lift my spirits, and at times that's some pretty heavy lifting. Anyway, I hope you're doing well and in good health; I do realize that you've pretty much retired from public performance, but if you ever get the urge to embark on an informal, small-scale tour---a sort of "A Night of Conversation, Guitar, and Guiness With Dave Edmunds" kind of thing---make sure Boston is on your itinerary, as we tend to recognize and remember outstanding musicians here, and you would undoubtedly receive a warm, enthusiastic reception. One more thing: Sony Music really needs to get around to issuing a Dave Edmunds deluxe box set!
Dave Edmunds is remarkable. His voice, check out some of his most recent vids - he still has it! Why is he not in the RRHOF? Why is Warren Zevon not in the RRHOF? Insane.
Ah the old rocker himself..! Cardiff's most favourite son (in my opinion). Strangely, his guitar virtuosity as a very young person was seldom displayed in his later career, he was incredibly accomplished.
Because the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is run by accountants who are so ignorant of what R&R is, their priorities are Disco stars and Pop stars. Disgusting what they include in their awards shows.
Dave Edmunds is FANTABULOUS! Sadly not yet recognized or given the the due credits and accolades he is so deserving of. LOVE.....LOVE.... LOVE! Dave Edmunds. He is a true living legend.
Dave Edmunds - forgotten force behind British New Wave in 1979. The sound guy only put up one mic for the horns LOL. Been there... I did a bari sax solo once and the singer pointed his mike into my bell so you could hear me, that was a nice gesture.
He is the best. So clean so good so sharp so part of our music and artists he just soaked it up and he's from Wales. Hub same age from London. brit music just rules
Dave was already one of my favorite artists back when “I hear you knocking” was a big hit. I heard that screaming off some speakers in Sweden from radio Luxembourg and said I want to write a song for that guy! I ended up writing three for him and he and his wife CIci became good friends
Oh yes. I remember now. I was trying to think where I had heard of him. Ah yes & now I do remember "I hear you knocking" was a favorite of mine. I do hope his wife is going to be ok. Thanks for the info.
I've been in love with this song all of my life. I haven't heard a recording of it in probably 30years but I can sing it at will. It's just a song that stayed in my head and heart. Roam around and round. Dadadadada I'm playing air guitar and horns with the dadadas 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Always liked that song and the beat!!!! GIRLS AND LADIES.....Don't ever get involved with a guy that is a 'Wanderer" YOU...CANNOT CHANGE A WANDERER....:-)))

Rock and Roll is forever…these guys keep it going…it will never die.
One of a handful of musicians who kept rock n roll alive . Thank you Dave Edmunds.
Fuckin eh man. Dave Edmunds is a beast best musician on that stage by a mile( and I like Bryan Adams)

Spousal unit really…. It’s degrading
@@CatsandJP no that’s funny 😂😂
Same thing happened when Johnny Cougar opened for Heart.
This rock and roll and these guys are its kings. As Brian said. This is a rock concert and you will not be sitting down
Commenting in hopes of boosting...Edmunds criminally underrated.
With Dave Edmunds at his side, my respect for Byran Adams just jumped up 10 points.
Adams deserves to be on stage with the great D.E, though. Adams never strayed from the formula.
Dave Edmund and his early group Love Sculpture were booked for my high school 6 form dance in South Wales Rhondda UK

Dave edmunds one of cardiff's finest rockers
Foot tapping, heart jumping good old Rock and Roll at it's best.....and, you can understand the words. We love that 'down under'.
Damn, these dudes nailed the freaking song. I didn't know Edmunds was that good of a singer.
D E 7th deserves a re-listen… like a working man’s singer.
He's Welsh, of course he's a singer!
Probably one of the best covers of the wanderer 👌👌👌
I can't think of anyone who could cover this song better than Dave Edmunds. His work with Nick Lowe back in the seventies and eighties was some of the very best stuff that came out of that era.

OH YES SIR . Absolutely right on there. Way better than the original by.......GG.
I can't listen to this just once, gotta repeat it at least 3 times or more.❤😊!!
Dave Edmunds is remarkable. His voice, check out some of his most recent vids - he still has it! Why is he not in the RRHOF? Why is Warren Zevon not in the RRHOF? Insane.

WOW man. Those vocals are so spot on.
❤
Ah the old rocker himself..! Cardiff's most favourite son (in my opinion). Strangely, his guitar virtuosity as a very young person was seldom displayed in his later career, he was incredibly accomplished.
Two real rockers and legends ❤
Well, one of them at least. The other one started to make more and more soft-pop-rock.
Why aren't both of these guys in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Dave Edmunds...great talent and under appreciated. Thanks for posting.
not by me !!
Because the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is run by accountants who are so ignorant of what R&R is, their priorities are Disco stars and Pop stars. Disgusting what they include in their awards shows.
The Rock,N Roll Hall of Shame is exactly what it is ....One Big Friggin Joke .
I blame the mullet.
I agree ..both of these fine artists should certainly be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
The Great musician that is Dave Edmunds
All-round Great talent

He is highly regarded by many top players who have him onstage like this or as part of an ad hoc super group.
Dave Edmunds & Brian Adams - Totally Timeless
Dion is timeless, Dave too. Thanks for sharing your talents guys. Rip
Very cool of Bryan, a rising tide raises all boats. Bryan has been great to help the previous generation get some credit.
I gave the TH-cam wheel a big spin and when it stopped here I knew that I hit the Jackpot 🎉
Love Dave Edmunds, brilliant in concert!
Hello Joanne...
Two real legends.....Fantastico!!
I remember seeing Dave Edmunds with Love Sculpture at the Top Rank in Swansea in the late 60's. How time flies!
