I love a speaker that gives you all sorts of information and doesn't withhold to try and get you to buy their book. This makes me actually buy the book because I love the information they are giving so much that I want more! Thank you Michael Pollan

Exactly. Can't stand it when clicks, subscribe, book sales and vitamin sales is the primary aim. I stopped "subscribing" to everyone, no more bombardment by the best 'salesperson'

It would be ridiculous to think that there's only one aspect of food from the earth that benefits the human body. We, like our environment and all that's in it are a system of needs and gifts.

I've never heard of Michael Pollan before today. Back in March of 2022 I got the realization to stop using microwave, comma and I lost 16 pounds that month.
From my weight this time last year I've lost a total of 51 pounds.
I have a very simple eating philosophy, Nature made is always better than human maid. Only eat foods with ingredients that I can recognize immediately, that I can pronounce, And spell. When I go to the organic market to purchase food to eat there's literally only about 5 things that I can eat in the entire store. I don't need meat though so that's where we do differ.
I think the American meat system is so corrupted, It's best to stay far away from it. And as a society, as a government there should be an encouragement for people to grow gardens in their own lawns in their own communities.
We should not trust the Corporations to feed us, They have made the watermelon seedless sterilized it. And they have taken all the nutrition out of the food when they process it. All that's left in their food is Sickness, weight gain, and death.🤷🏾‍♀️
I have always said that McDonald's in fast food joints should be referred to as a "food like substance".
And I always tell people if you want some cookies make them that way you Earn them.
I'm seriously blown away that there's someone in the national sphere that's speaking my language.
Too bad not enough people are listening

Unfortunately most vegetables won't rot either. Today with irradiated vegetables they just whither and dry up.

    Culture is common sense hard-won.

Good commentary, but there are of course aspects to culture which foster harmful false beliefs, such the the cultures popular medicine.

Also,my great grandmother walks into a modern grocery store and picks up a kiwi, and says wtf is this? Therefore kiwis are a food-like substance, and therefore not food.

    Ok that’s nice, BUT
A haiku has vary specific rules
    Line one: 5 syllables
    Line two: 7 syllables
    Line three: 5 syllables
    Example:
    You don’t know haikus
    It’s all about syllables
    Thank you for your time.
