While watching your video on the frequent problems with Lightning Rod, I told him, "that kid looks a helluva lot like this dude I saw filming himself after his first ride on Lightning Rod around 4pm-ish last Wednesday while you were in the line. He seemed to be in a state of shock."

I wish I still had Taylor's enthusiasm for, and physical condition to ride roller coasters.
My advice to everyone is to ride 'em while you can. The day may come when your body just says "No more" and you have to listen or else pay the price.
Congrats, it's about time! It truly is an amazing coaster that changes the way you look at other wooden coasters.

I finally rode Lightning Rod for the first time today. And because of all the trouble you had with this coaster, I kept having nightmares it would be closed lol. When I saw it running from the parking lot, I started bouncing, I was so excited. Great ride! The restraints hurt at times, but this roller coaster was well worth my trip.

Lightning Rod is the best coaster ever and here is why. The airtime, the launch, the intensity, and the drop. And I have not got the chance to ride fury because when I went to Carowinds I was too short to ride.

Taylor being excited was making me excited and I’m like 500 miles away and not riding it.
I was on there on the 21st, my first time at Dollywood, and got to ride it!. That was before I realized it was always closed!.!.

congrats man. I was one of the lucky ones. I went there the first week it opened with a couple of friends. It was are annual roller coaster trip. We rode it one time ,in the front row and it was awesome. We went back later in the day and it was closed and it turns out it was closed indefinitely. That's when RMC recalled the restraint systems. So I know how you feel. I'm from PA so it not an easy trip for me so to think I almost didn't get to ride it. I know how you feel. Congratulations man

I actually rode it yesterday and cried. It became temporarily closed while we waited in line, but I got so excited and forced my parents to wait in the line. I counted every single air time hill and annoyed my parents in front of me. It was so worth the year long wait.
