A grand wee video, I live just north of the border and visit the chieviots regularly, but have not tried south of them so much, your video has inspired me to have a look. Keep up the good work. ATB Big Dave Scotland
Hi Dave, glad you enjoyed it, long drive round for you, that’s why I don’t do town yetholm and beyond as the drive eats into my available time, when I get more time I have promised myself I will travel round and do the hill forts, Cheers Adrian
Another cracking day out Adrian. Totally agree that a spot is so much better when you are completely secluded from people. Not an easy climb but always worth the effort and no path means no people... ha, and then you found a road 😆Quality set up as always and you kept your view. Yes it's been surprisingly cold for June I had a camp up north last week and it was feel like temps of 6! crazy stuff. You definitely look better in the morning than I do hahaha Lovely camp all in all 👍
Hi Gez, yes a great secluded spot found, I checked the map and the road goes the wrong way so I could not have used it, but I could have gone up the bike track !!!! Who knew lol Cheers Adrian
Fabulous Adrian, that’s a great bit of the Cheviots and relatively unexplored. Good to see you’ve got Bellas joke in there! Looks like a lovely place to bivvy.
Hi Dawn, yes a few people have said its a hoilday location, great views, and nowadays get home delivery ! gad you enjoyed the views and pitch. cheers Adrian
Hi Dave, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it, hard slog up but great views of the valley plenty of time in the winter to camp lower down in the woods Cheers Adrian
Thanks for a rare glimpse of the Cheviots, I passed through on the Pennine Way during Hurricane Ali and have always wanted to return to explore in more peaceful times. Lots of Roman history in those hills as well 👍
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video, Keep watching as I am all about the Cheviots, even finding new valleys and areas I have not explored. You are bound to see areas you know on my camps, My favourite being the border ridge without doubt. Cheers Adrian
Hi and thanks for watching, yes even up high they can get you if the wind drops off, I may look into a midge jacket as the back of the neck gets it, glad you enjoyed it. cheers Adrian
Hi and thanks for watching, yes i spotted a nice place for a view, got to it, found ground not to be perfect, but great views and camp non the less, great fun. cheers Adrian
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it, midges !! they still get the back of my neck ! if they are bad I use the big net over the bivy, you have to cover up with a tent so why let them spoil a bivy, just adapt and enjoy. cheers Adrian
Hi and thanks for watching, yes I bent a couple of pegs, had a couple pop out mid evening but managed, worth it for the views of the valley, unless I made the climb we would never have seen the valley from high.Glad you enjoyed them. cheers Adrian
Stunning location as always, great camp, your stamina is amazing doing these hill walks, it killed me going 2/3rds the way up near simonside, lol, I've put up my coastal camp video, got afew day bimble videos, and my bivvy camp on simonside, views (to me) are amazing, I'm so coming back up for more camps for certain, truly amazing place, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig
Hi Craig, thanks for watching, watching yours as I write this comment, hope you enjoyed it up here, Simonside from the gravel car park has three great bivy spots under the crags, easy to get too, you will have watched my videos ? so glad you are using the bivy, its magic, cheers Adrian
Great to see you up that way , my second home 😁,great spot you found , loads to explore up there mate , those tracks are part of an enduro mountain bike route and that’s kidlandlee holiday cottages on opposite hill, great area , thanks for sharing atb Deka 👌🏻💯
Hi Deka, still areas I have to explore, local North East knowledge like yours always a help, 22 years up here and still learning ! glad you enjoyed it, I had to get up high to fully enjoy the valley views, I do prefer the hill tops for that reason, I will explore here further, coming down there on a mountain bike ! Iwas nearly on my back with poles !!! Thanks for the coffee cheers Adrian
Another successful adventure! I enjoyed your dry sense of humor with the “shady tree” joke…. didn’t realize it was a joke until you mentioned it! 😸 Have you thought about taking a light-weight camping chair on your trips? Would make reclining and looking at views quite comfortable. Cheers from Pennsylvania! 😄
Hi and thanks for watching from afar, glad you enjoyed it, I am thinking of a light weight chair, sub one kilo, certainly would make it comfortable, I normally just lie back, as a bad back/hamstrings does not allow sitting at right angles ! just the extra weight, i am happy with around 12-13 kg so it gets heavy, cheers from me Adrian here in the the uk
Hi and thanks for watching, yes a great new area, I will run out of life time ! before I see all the Cheviots never mind anywhere else lol I had to go high to get the view of the valley, the grass was only damp so the wringing wet tarp must have been condensation from my heat, unless it rained early in the night and it dried ? cheers Adrian
Hi and thanks for watching, I would love to spend days in the wild, you would need a base, or just use your car, hope you enjoyed the video, Cheers Adrian

@@northumberlandmountainhopper Yes Adrian. Hi and thanks for watching, As an avid meat eater I agree plant based alternatives are awful, but these Bens plant powered foods are great, they use beans etc instead of meat, there are three, Chilli non carne, Tikka Masala, and Spicy Lentil Stew honestly great cheap camping food with a pack of rice, more filling than normal camping meals. cheers Adrian

So much to explore up there but heavily forested.

Strange how much condensation there was. Like you say, it's probably due to shower during the night. So many new potential spots to try.
