That tree may be the most beautiful bonsai I’ve seen in your nursery. It should be displayed prominently for all visitors to see. I would like to know more about its history.
Very powerful trunk. The split down the middle speaks volumes on the persistence and adaptability of the life force. It will be a major bonsai treasure!
morning all 😊you need step ladders not an old office chair 😮 think of health and safety man good god 😮sharp cutting tool and old chair are you mad😂😂that's going to be a lovely tree . God bless all on this sunny Sunday 😊😊
Interesting idea - I don’t know much about bonsai (just started an interest) but my instinct tells me that would kill the tree to have such a large vertical slice practically from the bottom to the top
trees are funny things, theyre basically just a bundle of tubes running top to bottom. Damage all the way around a tree usually kills one, but vertically you can literally rip them in half and get two surviving trees. That said, I personally like the two seperated hollows.@urchinsushi2041
@@alanholowaychuk6788 thank-you so much for your insight!! yes I agree that the two separated hollows would definitely elevate the tree to a whole new level - I really like looking at these trees from different perspectives, I just subscribed to this channel and have learned so much from this channel after just watching a few videos so far 🙏
In just forty years and one hour, you too can have an English Elm bonsai like this!
Good Morning all. Peter is so skilled and his team. Would be good to see Josh do a tree with Peter filming and commenting.

That’s a really interesting chunk of Elm. The wounded area and the burrs give great character!
Lovely ❤

Soooooo excited to see the progress of this one! It's beautiful. Great work.
Peter and masters-in-training, you have outdone yourselves. Here's to synergy!
Thx for sharing Peter
A very nice & HUGE bonsai, one that I would love to have! 👍
Thanks Peter.
Just love watching him work just simply an artist at work
Peter's shirts are so cool!
Wow, what a great trunk. It'll be nice to this one progress.
Awesome, I need to find myself one of these in the wild!
Nice seeing you on gardeners world 🌎
Morning Peter from the sunny Isle of Wight x
First well done
Dutch Elm Disease has almost wiped out American Elms around here in the last few decades. Good job!!

I hope you write a risk assessment doc each time you touch or prune your bonsai !!
Peter for the win!!!
Ha...!
...the Safety Nannies are even sticking their noses into bonsai cultivation now......
....nothing is sacred....!!!
Peter, never heard any planes when you was on Gardeners World. 😀😀😀
They had to stop filming every two minutes - thats why they took two days to film eight or ten minutes of usable footage !!
I saw you recently on an episode of Gardeners World.
👌
I’m sure it’ll be lapped up by a rich, enthusiastic fan soon
Nice tree. But the hollow side would be even nicer, if that hole was connected from bottom to the top with some little more carving

@@alanholowaychuk6788 It used to be completely hollow but over the past three years it healed up. But it is hollow right through.
👍🏼👍🏼🌳
I'm more than a little bit curious how much comparable bonsai sell for. Can't be cheap...
I would expect 100k easy
You shape everything into a triangle conifer shape lol
Not always but most times.
Tradition!
