Nice tree. But the hollow side would be even nicer, if that hole was connected from bottom to the top with some little more carving

Interesting idea - I don’t know much about bonsai (just started an interest) but my instinct tells me that would kill the tree to have such a large vertical slice practically from the bottom to the top

trees are funny things, theyre basically just a bundle of tubes running top to bottom. Damage all the way around a tree usually kills one, but vertically you can literally rip them in half and get two surviving trees.
That said, I personally like the two seperated hollows.​@urchinsushi2041
