Thanks for bringing awareness to folks about cleaning your vents and traps. It can be dangerous. Many people don't become aware of these situations until it's too late. This was almost a situation for my sister and her stepdad. I say almost. It was the Grace of God that it didn't turn bad. 🙏

This is why people think that a dryer doesn't work properly. It's just because there too lazy to clean the filter.
In Australia we have the filters usually on the door which you clean after every use. In Queensland I have seen an outlet for a dryer but it was only a few feet to go outside. To have these kind of outlets is so very dangerous 😮

Mine is easier to clean then some of those. Mine vents directly outside. I clean out the outside trap then go inside and clean out the lint trap in front. And pull out and clean behind the panel. But, boy some of those would be a doozie to clean.

En France nous n'avons pas tous ces tuyaux. Les sèches linges sont tous équipés d'un filtre monté dans la porte qui permet de retirer les résidus de vêtements après chaque utilisation.
Nous avons également des filtres à charpie en Amérique, mais pour avoir une bonne circulation de l'air dans nos sécheuses, il faut toujours un évent extérieur pour que l'humidité puisse s'échapper. Nous aimons nos vêtements super secs en Amérique, pas vos vêtements séchés par condensation. D'accord, certains camping-cars ou autres applications pourraient avoir ce genre de chose. J'espère que Google a traduit cela correctement... car je me souviens très peu des 3 années de français que j'ai suivies au lycée 😅

I’m curious as to why people use a dryer instead of hanging their clothes out in the sun. It’s way cheaper than using electricity
The clothes dry faster and a lot of people live in apartments or they do not have a backyard.
This is why i clean my dryer vent i don't want a fire happening inside my house does anyone know where i can find a big vacuum hose to fit through the vent

So if the dryer has too much lint built up inside it won't dry? I always thought that my heating element was bad or I needed a new dryer 🤔
A clogged dryer vent can easily burn out the eating element. Airflow restrictions cause most of the issues with a dryer.
Lucky they didn’t burn their house down
All of that lint could be used as filler for seats and pillows.
