Thanks a lot for the upload...after getting a radio installed by an radio guy on my yaris, it couldn't hold it's memory after switching the ignition...after watching this video I ended doing it myself...thanks a lot man :)
YES INDEED, well done boss! The radio around here drives me nuts too, especially around lunchtime, they all play commercials. You are welcome, I am glad i could help.
you are welcome. Just make sure you get the wiring adapters. Just tell the store what receiver you are using (i.e. pioneer, alpine, etc.) and that you have a yaris. It truly is easy.
I sold the yaris, but putting a sub and amp in is not easy by any stretch, one of the harder cars on the market. All I can say is take your time getting the panels off. The hardest place is the bottom front of the rear windows. I ran all the cables (even though you're not supposed to) via the removable panel on the drivers side next to the hatch. The good thing though is there is not much air in the car, and it's a hatchback, so it sounds incredible.
Great tutorial! I have this exact same console setup in my Yaris. I'm looking to upgrade, would you have a suggestion for a good touch screen brand to go with?
that's a good point, if you are just swapping out plugs, then you do not need to disconnect the battery. If you care cutting wires, then you do need to disconnect the battery.
Whatever my chiky wants, my chicky gets. I just got the DEH-P8400BH to sinc up with her Samsung Galaxy S3, it is amazing, quick as can be, came with a microphone I clipped on the visor......super nice stereo...... especially since I put in Pheonix Gold Components....front and back.
Many thanks. Very useful knowing how to take dash apart as I'm trying to replace bulb that lights up one of the dials below CD unit. What a hassle just to replace a bulb!
this video is really help full but wiring is very confusing. could you please show how to connect wires without plug and another thing is how to change front speekers of toyota yaris 2005.
I'm installing a double din pioneer next few days.....just gotta get complete amp installation kit. Would like to solder but I would need to buy a Solder kit for this one job......looking for best wire connectors, crutchfield has nice twist ones but $15 for 25,,,, nah. I'll go to a shop instead.
PIONEER DEH-X6500BT ($122 on ebay) search ebay for "TOYOTA 07-UP YARIS SCOSCHE INSTALL DASH ISO STEREO KIT" Call best buy they should have a wiring adapter which goes from the new receiver to the old wiring, so you do not need to cut, splice, or solder anything. Follow the instructions in the video and you are done!
I am so glad car manufacturers don't want to have any screws showing in their factory head units and I am so glad they put in crappy factory head units. NOT!
cameron murphy I think they’re usually on the drivers door. You can always call Oreilly auto parts and ask which store in your area specializes in paint. The stores in the dallas area are arlington and denton. They know for sure
+Native722 That's my question too? I have a fully stock 08 yaris! crustchfield sell this with Metra 99-8216 kit then I get a warning about Part 55405-52640, isn't this already part of the car? My purchase is on hold until I figure this out.

Well done boss! I think youtube is one of the best education tools available. You are welcome and I'm glad I could help.

I have the 2014 Yaris and was wondering if the colours of the wires in the 2014 are the same colour as the 2008 ?

Sir do you have a link or the text of the color codes?
cameron murphy I think they’re usually on the drivers door. You can always call Oreilly auto parts and ask which store in your area specializes in paint. The stores in the dallas area are arlington and denton. They know for sure
make sure its going in the right hole
I made it myself thanks to inplix website.
Front door are easy. Rear panel are horrible. If I did it all over again, I would not change the rear speakers.
what is the sponge on the antenna cable for?
BlackRhino I think you’re seeing a label, I’ve never seen a sponge on one
Watch your video. Has gray foam padding attached to antenna cable.
Electrical wires cant rust.
hi, do you need an antenna adapter ?
Shaun Borg it depends on what after market stereo you buy, usually you do not need one but I cannot promise that
Do you need to buy the Toyota Part 55405-52640?

you're welcome....you mean you don't want to see my face talk for 10 minutes, and then see something relevant for 1 minute?
My Pontiac G6 is a bitch to change the stereo...you have to take pretty much the whole dash off of it to do it D:
Hahaha installing systems in your girlfriends car?!
