    Hey Kevin!
    Just wanted to thank you bro! For the very useful and accurate instructions. Specially, this one: "Do NOT give up too early...!"
    I've got a TS3440 PIXMA which has PG-440 & CL-445 cartridges. And I used to refill them with insulin syringes, without no trouble. But, after awhile the black cartridge stop printing even after refilling (I did not used to prime the cartridges at that time nor was aware of its necessity!) So I've end up breaking open the cartridge lid and removing the sponge trying to make an sponge less one, after seeing the near dry and almost white sponge in there. However failed to airproof the lid, everything was fine except for the ink flow to bottom plate. So I had to remove the lid again, though it was very hard this time- I had to sink the cartridge in acetone for several hours, trying to place back the sponge, fixing the gaps & ...
    After all, the most valuable tip of you which I kept in mind was "Do NOT give up too early, show your printer who is the boss!"
    Thank you brother, thank you very much!

    I love the fact that you’re exposing some snarky practices with cannons sales policy.
    “End user feedback” - just make it a straight up infomercial for BPH and let me know if the syringe is part of the refill kit etc. etc. etc.
    Furthermore, the first thing I have to do is go find out how to get rid of the page counter

    Best to insert needle to bottom and refill slowly. This avoids air and keeps the siphoning good. Pop the top and wash out sponges. Prime a bit. Head cleaning. Windex and IPALCOHOL for a major overhaul. If that all falls toss it n buy a newbie. I don't recommend spongeless. The sponge is needed to slow delivery of ink.

    Hi Kevin, Do these cartridges need to be reset for page counts after refilling? Also will this printer error out with a full waste ink pad?

    • @BCHTechnologies
      @BCHTechnologies  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those are "gray" cartridges, which you disable the printer's ink monitor (turns gray), so you can printer forever. However, they cannot be reset. The HP is almost the same way except if you rotate a few sets, the HP will forget the cartridge and mark it as full again. The Canon will never let you be "full", but it will keep working.

    After refilling the black ink, the printer says low ink, what could be the problem

    • @BCHTechnologies
      @BCHTechnologies  5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Keep printing. You can't "reset" the chip. Just keep printing until one day the printer stops you and says "Error 1688 (or 1686,...)" the following cartridge is depleted. Do not close that window. Keep the window open and press and hold the STOP button for 5 seconds. The STOP button is the one with a red upside-down triangle, not the scan button. You will hear a click, and the printer is back to work. It won't track the cartridge ink level anymore, and you can add ink as many times as you want.

    Hello there, everytime i try to refill my black cartridge, it seems to leaking much of ink from the nozzle right after i refill it, even after i tried to do ink suction with priming clip, what cause the problem? is it because i overfill it?

    • @shrujanamsyama9940
      @shrujanamsyama9940 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Overfill or because you injected the syringe too deep that it has punctured big hole in sponge or the filter

    • @whoisdavidddd
      @whoisdavidddd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shrujanamsyama9940 thanks for the reply, it seems that I overfill it because after I do ink suction with the priming clip and a few usages later, there is no more leaking ink from the nozzle

    How to stop over Flow yellow ink line in photo printing.i am helpless to resolve this problem

    • @BCHTechnologies
      @BCHTechnologies  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      First, make sure the cartridge is not overfilled. The cartridge has a sponge and your goal is to get the sponge wet, not soaked. Many people believe there is a swimming pool inside the cartridge and fill the ink to the rim. Don't. For the overflow cartridge, just leave them in the printer for a day or two, then take them out and wipe the bottom clean. Secondly, if the leakage only happens during photo printing, try to print a few color pages with yellow and see if it helps.
