Brother never use optical ( S/PDIF ) if your tv have eARC or even ARC support which will give you more than what S/PDIF ( optical ) can offer. Also using hdmi which is capable of cec , will help you to power up or off automatically. So if your TV doesnt have eARC/ARC supported hdmi then use S/PDIF ( optical ) connection.

I had Yamaha ATS 2090 which blew up today (the subwoofer stopped working). The sound Yamaha had was just amazing. This LG soundbar stands no where as compared to Yamaha. Do you also think that the sound quality is not up to the mark

Thanks for watching the video. I agree with you, this sound bar is not comparable to Yamaha. There is a settings for the soundbar which is accessible using the remote, you can increase subwoofer sound from there. But I don’t think that will satisfy you.
Just out of curiosity, how long are the cords that connect the rear speakers into the larger device that plugs into the wall?

Is the Bluetooth receiver only? No transmit meaning can I pair my AirPods so that I can listen in my AirPods incase someone is sleeping. Thanks for the unboxing video you did a good job 👍🙂
Hi, no. It doesn’t have transmitter. Its only receives Bluetooth signal.
For your problem you can check in amazon for Bluetooth transmitter, you find lots of price starting from $10.

I bought this assuming the speakers are wireless and you need to connect the wires all the time to get connected
Rear speakers are not wireless but using the rear kit, you dont need to run the wire through wall from the source.
The subwoofer is wireless. The soundbar, you can use Bluetooth but won’t get good sound.

Just got this today. It’s OKAY for the price… it was on sale for $200. My issue with it is the subwoofer is not manageable independently… and there is no separate volume setting on the woofer itself to adjust it.
My previous set up was with a full receiver and completely wired sound. But it also cost a fortune. I was looking for a less expensive solution and this seems to be okay… I’m still working on the bass situation.
Also… he’s right about the optical. It took forever for me to get the optical hooked up… glad it wasn’t just me!
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. There is a settings option for woofer in the remote. Its not direct, so you need to find it out.

I was able to get into the sound bar setting on the remote and adjust the woofer up independently. The sub comes set at 0
@@Matt-ix6ne Yes! I was able to use the app. If you sync the sound bar with the tv, you can’t access the bass independently… at least I didn’t see it. However I was able to address it via the app.

I cannot make the subwoofer work. Do I have to connect the entire system to make the subwoofer work?
No, you need to turn on the soundbar 1st then power on the woofer. It will connect automatically.
If its not connected, try unplugging everything and then start with soundbar 1st, then woofer.

@@RoysWorkThe subwoofer does connect and the 'green light' is solid but, there is no sound from the subwoofer.
Test with high volume, also you can increase woofer only volume using remote.

This is not fully wireless. The subwoofer is wireless. These is a rear speaker kit which is wireless but both rear speakers connect to that kit via wire.

Yeah, i mentioned in the video about this problem, not all standard cable will fit to this device. You can search for “slim optical cable” in amazon. I also search for it and found one.

Hi, i am not sure how you are trying to change the mode, that works only with the remote comes with the soundbar. You won’t be able to do that using tv remote.
If tv completely recognize the soundbar, you may be able to change mode from tv sound settings.

Hey there, my rear speakers seem to be connected from positive to negatives coreectly. The box its connected to has the constant green light on and if I put the rear speaker to my ear i can hear static so I know its receiving power. But with all that I still don't hear any real noise. Any idea why?
So, looks like all the connections are fine but so sound from rear speakers.
1st, how do you connect the soundbar to source (tv, etc)? I noticed if you use Bluetooth, rear speaker doesn’t work. Use hdmi or optical cable.
2nd try to do power recycle. Completely unplug soundbar and rear speaker kit from power wait for a min and then try.
If all these doesn’t work then you may need to connect lg or may replace the item.

Unfortunately no, ended up returning it to Best Buy. I'm not super tech savvy but I'm not terrible. I figured it shouldn't be that difficult

Correct
Yes. Rear speakers are connected to the kit which is wireless. So you don’t need to run wires from the soundbar to rear speakers.
How to connect a small speakers to the bar
Normally you cant connect any additional speakers to this sound system, only the two satellite speakers (comes with this system) can be connected using the rear speaker kit (comes with the system too). No other additional speakers can be connected.

Yes. It comes with rear speakers kit. This kit is wirelessly connected to the soundbar. So you put that kit at the back of the room and then connect the mini speakers to that kit using wire. The two mini speakers are not wireless they connect to the kit with wire.
You always have to connect them with the wire all the time to the wireless device, you cannot connect them without wire
How to find which is left and which is right
Both the rear speakers are same, but the kit has left and right connecting points. Based on which one is connected to what ever point, you should keep that speaker on that side.
