- Friends, this Sunday we begin five weeks of Gospel readings from the sixth chapter of John, which is all about the Eucharist. Jesus will get into a lengthy discourse about the Eucharist, but it commences narratively with the familiar story of the multiplication of the loaves, which is an iconic presentation of the Mass.

☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️In my 50+ YEARS in the Episcopal Church I NEVER heard this AWESOME description of the MASS and how it relates to Jesus feeding the 5 fish and two loaves. 🙏
Remember how the Episcopal church began
Most likely I learned that in cathecism class at Wake Forest University in 1965.😆
*Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me*
There's wonder working power in following Kingdom principles on giving and tithing. Hallelujah!
But then, how do you get all that in that period of time? What is it you do please, mind sharing?
It is the digital market. That's been the secret to this wealth transfer. A lot of folks in the US and abroad are getting so much from it, God has been good to my household Thank you Jesus

This morning on my walk, a non-Catholic friend and I stopped and in the mention of the Olympics, she, knowing I am Catholic said: “I am so sorry for that terrible affront to Catholics. We are boycotting watching any of the Olympics.” And then she said something that utterly surprised me when I mentioned that our Bishops were speaking out and condemning this these terrible actions. She said: “I know the Bishops are posting but why haven’t we seen your Pope speaking out?” 😢 I don’t know the answer, but I do know that that question has arisen in our home and with our Catholic friends. We are warriors for our God and we will gather as one, “making straight the pathway to our God”. We will pray, pray, pray….and we will speak out and we will LIVE the WORD of God. Thank You Bishop Barron for being a Shepherd that leads us in truth and conviction.
I posted an official statement on my FB page that I would be boycotting the Olympics, and why. I also suggest emailing the Olympics organization to let them know what you are doing and why you are doing it. Thanks for your post here.
Not an affront on Catholics or Christianity at all. Totally taken out of context and the Pope won't say anything because he's not a bigot. We are all children of God! If you can't see that, then you're missing the point of Jesus' words. Just pray for them!

@@BackJauer10 It is lovely and right to claim “we are all children of God” and as God’s children we have a responsibility to defend our faith, our sacraments especially where it concerns the Eucharist. This satanic representation of The Last Super was an egregious SACRILEGE, as defined in the Catechism of the Catholic Church : 2120 Sacrilege consists in profaning or treating unworthily the sacraments and other liturgical actions, as well as persons, things, or places consecrated to God. The Eucharist, is the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. What other offense could be greater? And I am grateful to see that the Pope has, as of yesterday, addressed this sacrilege.
I always pray for the Pope's redemption.
Dear Bishop, I attend mass every Sunday, sing in the english and the spanish mass, and when I'm don't have to rehearse with my other choir I attend the Saturday vigil, but still listen to your homilies. You feed my soul, thank you. God bless you

Whenever I come to the lake I see much more of creation and feel even closer to the Creator.Tonight I’m sitting on the dock , the sun is nearly down and it’s a glorious night. The lake is still from activity all day, fireflies all around me , crickets chirping,the occasional jump of a fish and it is stunning. Off in the distance there’s an outline of a mountain and the stars are diamonds in the sky. Someone is having a party across the lake . Beauty, a stunning perfect summer evening. It is so wonderful that we come upon this Liturgy the first Sunday after the National Eucharistic Congress. God has the perfect plan for us! How He loves us!
This story is amazing because it describes how God provides for His people in abundance. It is a great gift that we can experience the Abundance of His Life that He offers us every time we attend Mass. Bishop Barron does a great job illustrating how the different parts of the Mass are present in this feeding of the 5000 story in John 6, including the idea of teaching, what we offer to God, and how God takes the little we offer and turns it into an abundance. O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, All Praise and All Thanksgiving be every moment Thine!

As a Spanish speaker I'm sure the good Bishop knows, but "dar catedra" in Spanish means "to give a talk" in the sense of "to give a masterclass", used in a secular situation as much as in any church.

Either mockery or skeptisism (so called smart though not at all), which stamp the social tide, are the factors behind the doubts that shake people's faith in Christ and prevents them from feeling the blessings of the Eucrist. "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them". What a blessing!The Eucrist fills our spirits; however, people deny it because they don't have the courage to face the cruel mockery of the social tide and because it's a mystery beyond our limited understanding. The Eucrist cannot be understood, just needed to be felt and experienced. It saddens me how people left Jesus because of this hard teaching, this is exactly how many people today falling in the same abyss of abandoning their faith. Jesus said it, "Does this make you want to give up?" The true deciples didn't give up. I will never give up.
Night truly blessed when heaven is wedded to earth and man is reconciled with God!
