Salted caramel apple cake
For the Apple mix:
2 x apples, peeled and diced
50g granulated sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
For the Cake:
360g Plain flour
200g caster sugar
4 tsp Baking powder
300ml milk, room temperature
1 tsp Vanilla extract
2 Large eggs, room temperature
110g Unsalted butter, melted
For the Glaze:
95g unsalted butter
50ml milk
315g icing sugar, sifted
50ml salted caramel sauce
Tin size 8x10”
Bake 180C/160C (fan) 40 mins or until a toothpick comes out almost clean with just a few sticky crumbs

*Ingredients*
For the cake:
2 large apples
50g granulated sugar
1tsp cinnamon
360g plain flour
200g caster sugar
4tsp baking powder
2 large eggs, room temperature
1tsp vanilla
300ml milk, room temperature
110g melted butter
For the glaze:
95g butter
50ml milk
315g icing sugar
15ml salted caramel sauce
1) Preheat your oven to 180°C/ Gas Mark 4/ 160°C (fan)
2) Line an 8x10 inch baking tin with baking paper.
3) Peel and dice the apples, and then add them to a bowl.
4) Add the granulated sugar and cinnamon and mix until the apple is coated.
5) For the cake, whisk together the the plain flour, caster sugar and baking powder in a large bowl until combined.
6) Add the eggs, vanilla and milk and whisk until smooth.
7) Gently stir in the melted butter.
8) Fold the diced cinnamon apple into the mix.
9) Pour the mix into your baking tray and bake for 40 minutes.
10) For the glaze, microwave the butter and milk together in a bowl, stirring frequently until melted.
11) Sift the icing sugar into the mix and stir until smooth.
12) Add the salted caramel sauce and stir until combined.
13) Pour it over the warm cake and smooth it out evenly.
14) Let it set before serving.
15) Enjoy!
