You’re my go to TH-cam channel for all things related to aviation in Canada! Exciting to see another Canadian carrier join the market and give Air Canada and Westjet some competition!
Haha! I really liked how Alex pointed out that the livery is a cross between Air Transat and Sunwing! I never noticed it before, but now that he mentioned it, I do see it! I also chuckled at the end of Alex’s narrative as they arrived in YYC the passengers all clapped. It seemed they were applauding Alex! 😁
Hi Alex, great video! I was one of the pilots operating this flight. Thanks for joining us on our inaugural flight, and for making this fantastic video covering all of the events! We hope to have you on board again in the future 😃🛫🛩️
Once again you’ve delivered an excellent video. I like how you go into small detail as well as giving an overall picture of the new airline and aircraft. It’s also an historic video as it captures the inaugural flight of a brand new airline. Who knows? It may be worth a lot of money in the future. Thanks a lot Alex. Cheers Colin
Well, it took a long time for this airline to get off the ground, but management persevered, and here we are. They certainly deserve a lot of credit for not giving up. Not a bad beginning. Perhaps the CEO should talk to Airbus about getting some A220’s for the fleet. That, would be a real competitive advantage IMO.
A220 have a higher acquisition cost; new planes are always a larger capex. Stick with the rather large pool of used airframes in the desert, many with plenty of hours left on them. Most passengers cannot tell if a plane is new or used anyways. And a plane like A320 has many pilots around the world typed on it. A220? Less so.
This is the first 320 CFMs I've seen with that glossy shine along the engine rim. Anybody have examples of other airlines that do this to the type cus this seems brand new to me. Great vid Alex!
First Lynx and now Jetlines! Who knows what other airlines could possibly turn out in the future? Thanks for giving us an insight on this (hopefully successful) airline Alex!
Jetlines might be using the Allegiant Air plan for growth in which they acquire aircraft previously used by other airlines. They could possibly get some of Allegiant Air A320s or A319s since they’re getting 50 737 MAX aircraft (20 MAX 7s and 30 MAX 8-200s) in a slow transition to Boeing.
Like Spirit here in the US, where they charge $10 to print your boarding pass and the flight seems like one long advertisement for their mileage credit card.
It should be noted that in the time since this video aired, Jetlines appears to have discontinued their domestic flights, at least during the off season... So they are really leaning on that leisure branding
Great video for a long-awaited inaugural flight on this carrier. A couple of technical comments for future reference. The quality of a new airline is based on customer service on the back-end and not just just seat pitch and in-flight entertainment options. Some of the ULCCs right now have atrocious customer service so I'm hoping you can include more of your experience of that in future videos. Also, most new carriers like this one are not offering reclining seats which is a deal breaker for me on flights over 2 hours. Please let us know if seats recline and by how much. That is a huge comfort factor. I have always thought they should at least offer that option in the higher fare seat categories but nobody does that at the moment. Keep up the generally good work!
The Canada Jetlines “jet tag” key chain is awesome! I’ll be super excited to see how all these new ULCC affect AC and WestJets market share and pricing! Another great video Alex!
I really like the livery of this new airline. They did a great job on branding. The in-flight service seemed perfectly fine for a lower-cost carrier. On a side note at 6:11 you can see the new Bombardier factory under construction. This is where the Global 7000/8000 jet production will relocate to from Downsview. Not sure if other Bombardier business jets will move to this factory e.g. the Challenger series. Also on a totally unrelated note check out the growing Mississauga skyline at 2:37 in the background! How many suburbs have skylines like that?
Very cool video. Let’s hope they stick around, always nice to have other options here in Canada (YYC myself) And as a short 6’5” I always appreciate your flight experience videos a lot 😃
If they grow into a hugely successful venture, you can say you were there on flight #1. Might be an ordinary flight today, but who knows 50 years from now.
I Love watching this Video on Canada Jetlines Airline on this Video Alex is filming keep going Alex Praglowski nuff respect to all your Videos on Aviation man Dream Big on Aviation 100% Awesome Video!!!!
Great coverage, Alex. Love all the detail you include in your videos. Good luck to the CJ team. We most definitely need more viable, reliable and affordable airline competition in Canada. Thumbs up from YLW.
Great in flight shots! Recaro seats are cool. We take so much for granted. If you went back 100 years and told people you'd be going into the air and flying as quickly as you did, they would burn you at the stake.
Comparing launches, they seem to be so much more put together than Lynx. And decent swag! Here's hoping they grow and do well.. and eventually make it to YVR like they'd planned to years ago.
Hi Alex, nice Video. I wish them well. Nice indeed to see an Airbus in this tsunami of 737`. Their cabins are just a sliver wider, which makes for me a big difference. After seeing the Pink Jacket during the opening ceremony, the livery made sense. Greetings from a wet YVR
A couple weeks ago I passed Pearson (23/05?) and saw a Jetlines, a Swoop and a Flair jet in a line waiting for take-off. Nice to see some new tailfins in Canada. Wish them well!
The Air Canada livery closely resembles that of other airlines, like Aldi packaging closely resembles the packaging of various products sold by other retailers. Will knocking off of competitor products, packaging and livery enable them to survive, or will they fail if they have to stand alone with their own product and image only?
was that airplane parked at Waterloo Regional Airport? i have seen that plane lots of times driving past that airport and today was the first time I have never seen it parked there. thanks for the review! can't wait to see what's next!
4:42 Canadian Jetlines? Really. He couldn't get the name of the airline correct on the inaugural flight? They should issue a strict reprimand on his employee file 😁
6 foot 8? And you are an aviation enthusiast? 😂😂😂 If I was 6 foot 8, after 2 Spirit flights, I would never ever fly again! Kudos to you for dealing with the tight fit! Anyways, looks like a great start, especially being able to sit next to the CEO. I really wish them the best!
Recently, I was on the AC Boeing 737 -9 from YYC to Montreal, on route to Europe, I was shocked to see their washrooms were so tiny, practically have to back myself into the washroom before I can close the door, there was not enough room to turn around after I locked the door. Do the airlines have to cut corners so much in order to SAVE some money? I was impressed with a brand new Transat A 350 NEO parked next to us, quite an aircraft!
Plus I Love the Mixed Livery Blue,White and Yellow Orange Colours on Canada Jetlines Airbus A320's there Kool I hope they'll expand in the upcoming years soon on both routes and there fleet Aicraft too is Awesome I hoped they Visit my Home Country Barbados God's Willing if everything goes well but I will wait and see what happens for sure.
Awesome video, Alex! Great to see you on the inaugural flight. You are truly becoming a staple of Canadian aviation :)

I work for Transat, first time I saw one parked at the gate, I thought Transat and sunwing had a baby
Plane is painted just like the Smirnoff Berry Blast coolers you can get at the liquor store
Does that mean we can get loaded? Done.
That's very funny ...good one lol
i like how those have said limited edition for what about 3 years?
Hi Alex, great video! I was one of the pilots operating this flight. Thanks for joining us on our inaugural flight, and for making this fantastic video covering all of the events! We hope to have you on board again in the future 😃🛫🛩️
Wishing Canada Jetlines the best of luck and hope they’re successful.
2:53...SWOOP literally background Swooping in hahaha

@@haroldaranda8042 Hell, if they ever wanted newer planes, they could always take on the neo-series aircraft Alaska Airlines just retired.
I hope Jetlines will fly to Edmonton soon!
Great job as always, Alex. I hope these guys make a go of it, we so need additional competition here now!
Alex , thank you for representing the legroom disadvantaged people who fly ( economy more often ) .
This is the first 320 CFMs I've seen with that glossy shine along the engine rim. Anybody have examples of other airlines that do this to the type cus this seems brand new to me. Great vid Alex!
Been looking forward to seeing Jetline's first flight! Keep up the good work with the videos Alex! They are awesome!
i like that these are trip reviews for normal passengers and not just first class (or above), like other airplane youtubers.
First Lynx and now Jetlines! Who knows what other airlines could possibly turn out in the future? Thanks for giving us an insight on this (hopefully successful) airline Alex!

And porter hopefully receiving their
E190-E2s soon and I think a new airline Connectair based in YTZ launching soon
Connect Airlines say they are launching from Billy bishop airport in 2022
well this aged well 💀
Got to love that tell tale CFM56 climb power sound…so distinctive. As always, you do a fine reviewing job.
Great video and trip report! Nice to see them finally take off!
I’m glad it’s not a ULCC. They kind of get annoying after there are so many flying. Glad to see a new airline that DOESNT charge for drinks!
Like Spirit here in the US, where they charge $10 to print your boarding pass and the flight seems like one long advertisement for their mileage credit card.
Never fail to disappoint. Yet again, an amazing video!
Fantastic video!

Alex never fails to always give us the best content. Great review. I really hope Canada Jetlines will become big one day.

Alex, I was sure you were going to say that the aircraft had recently served with one of the easyJet franchises based on that livery. 👍
Awesome video Alex! I remember watching this plane land on Flight radar24 while I was in class wondering if you where on it
Great to see them finally operate and will be a great option
Love Jetlines livery and to take on the A320. Always referred the Airbus cabin over the 737. Hope they can match wings with Transat and sunwing
For me the orange has EasyJet vibes
Great videos by the way!
Save journeys
Nice video Alex, thank you. Good luck to Canada Jetlines too, hopefully they will have a successful future.
Brandon looks sooooo happy 🤣🤣
Great video once again dude!!!
Really nice job on presenting this experience. Well done, indeed.
So great to share opening of smb new page of history! Congrats
Awesome video. I’m so excited for Canada Jetlines!!
Great video and report on this new airline!
I'm very impressed with the service. Great to be on an inaugural flight.
If they grow into a hugely successful venture, you can say you were there on flight #1. Might be an ordinary flight today, but who knows 50 years from now.
Nothing better then that flex power takeoff sound.
I Love The Sound Of The Engine Buzz (I Got To hear The engine buzz Yesterday at YVR From a United A319)
Reminds me of Easyjet with the orange
Hey Alex! Cool plane and review!
They did put the “Extra Legroom Seats - Included“ point! Maybe they’ve heard your recommendation? Great vid as always bro!
You do a great job, Alex.
That engine is amazing 🤩
Great video Alex! It was good to see you and have a small fanboy moment :)
Nice video 🤩...! Well put together ❤
C-GCJL sat on Apron 7 (Chartright) at CYKF since around maybe February. I noticed it was gone last week. Good to see her in the air where she belongs.

there is so much competition in canada i don’t think we NEED more haha
Awesome video ! Thanks for coming onboard
Great in flight shots! Recaro seats are cool.
We take so much for granted. If you went back 100 years and told people you'd be going into the air and flying as quickly as you did, they would burn you at the stake.
100 years ago was 1922. Aviation, though primitive was known to be the way of the future. There was a lot of aircraft development in WW1
Wow, beautiful video! I guess I've got to try out Canada Jetlines soon as well!
I saw this plane when it was parked up in Waterloo!
I’ve been buying shares in this company for about a year I think, I was super excited to see the plane on flightaware 👍👍
Great work as always man!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
That guy waving at 3:52 😂
Very nice!
Comparing launches, they seem to be so much more put together than Lynx. And decent swag!
Here's hoping they grow and do well.. and eventually make it to YVR like they'd planned to years ago.
Wish them luck especially nowadays, as I see on Wikipedia that they already terminated Vancouver flights.
Alex CBC has a great article today "Another discount airline takes off but they may not all survive"
Am I the only one getting sun country vibes from the livery?
Great video Alex - Any idea what their radio callsign is?
I really enjoyed being on this flight. I also couldn't get the moving map to work. Hopefully this is fixed soon!
I love your videos Alex. Thank you

This plane is now being used by Flair to fly between Winnipeg and Toronto (F8644). It might be because of Flairs other aircraft being seized recently.
looks nice

Can we have the full Take off Video? ☺️☺️
Just realized: the airplane code letters are NAMES?
Not all of them if you want to see all of them just search up “the frenetic alphabet”
The code also has some area info like all planes registered in Canada Start with C (ex C-FUIL)
Awesome video Alex, I think the airline should've offered a free meal for their first flight
4:42 Canadian Jetlines? Really. He couldn't get the name of the airline correct on the inaugural flight? They should issue a strict reprimand on his employee file 😁
I noticed that also
They have Casino Royale in their movie library? I'm sold.
Hey Alex love your videos.. which airplane do you prefer Boeing or Airbus
That livery is quite similar to Sun Country
hopefully they expand eastward, I would rather fly an a320 than a dash 8 :)
Ahhhhh, an airline with an Airbus aircraft in Canada😮💨😌
Fun fact: The CEO of Canada Jetlines, Eddy Doyle is formerly Deputy General Director at Vietnam's Bamboo Airways.
Wow, very interesting!
looks like a normal airline.hope they make it
Alex, I can say I don't know how you can hack economy seats at your height. I am 6'2 and I dread more than two hours
Alex, I saw your aircraft right above my school whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
How are they doing these days?
Still think it looks like air transit rear ended easy jet to get the paint job
Awsome video
The announcement said 25 minutes till we land and I thought it said 2500 but as if it was the GPWS

@@hman455 I have the picture to prove it. A brand new A350 NEO, we were on the way to Greece from Montreal.
Do the seats recline ?

how was the WiFi ?
