Next you need to visit the Boeing Everett factory where these jets are born. Got to see the last Lufthansa 747-8i and the Future Air Force 1 under construction there a few years ago. No pics sadly.

Is so sad to watch all those huge airliners laying in that hot sun and dust .....waiting for stripping of parts, motors etc.. Nice work done by showing us all those sights. Watching from Paramaribo !

Hell I'd live in an old 747, but I'd have to chop up the side of the fuselage to install some floor to ceiling windows, as I'd imagine this thing parked in some rural/forested setting and I'd need to be able to look out at the awesome view.
That Boeing 707 at 1:24 is a very rare bird. She was originally N408PA, Jet Clipper Morning Star. That aircraft has been at Mojave for a long time. I still hold hope that she will find a way to a museum for static display - in 1965 Pan American colors, of course.
Hi Sam. I am very impressed by your coverage of all the aircraft located in the Californian desert! I was very surprised to see a Qantas Boeing 747-400! I would love to see inside those MartinAir MC-11s ... the were convertibles... could be changed from passenger to cargo configuration, often done seasonally when they'd fly their MD-11s to the Dutch Islands in the Caribbean.... or for charter. I think they were used more for cargo, at least when I was working there.
It’s my dream to go into an airplane graveyard one day. Just staying there for a few hours, admiring these beautiful planes that are now having a well deserved peaceful rest after all those years of serving the sky.. this is just heaven. I like to think that all the birds chilling on the aircrafts are their souls.. weird thing to think but that’s just how I see things I guess.

Also it is amazing to see the photo of Thai airhostess still in good condition. When you landed on the wing and made merry, I was virtually with you on the wing....
Thanks Sam, I feel sad when I see majestic machines like these being scrapped but at the same time it's fascinating to see, wish we had places like that in Australia, I would love an aircraft parked on my property.❤

As an A&P who used to work on these aircraft, install engines, landing gear, rig flight controls etc... It’s a bit sad to see them in such disrepair lol.

Areat deal of 747 fatal crashes were due to pilot error or shoddy maintenance. For example, JAL 123 was due to bad maintenance while the Tenerife Airport Disaster was largely pilot error (weather and communication breakdown too). Back in the late 80s to the mid-90s, I worked for a couple of airlines in flight operations. I remember several times where we ferried aircraft to park in the desert, though most of those were going into storage. But it's nice to see the end-of-the-road where they go at the end of their flying career.
Funny, an advert for Virgin Atlantic airlines came on towards the end of this video, very appropriate. On the other hand, it's interesting how you guys turn the sad prospect of the 747s and MD-11s getting scrapped into a fun experience in this video. what a strange TH-cam phenomenon ......
✋✋
i mean it's not like he goes to it yesterday and films it and edits it in one day this VID was prob filmed weeks ago of months ago
Yup!
In a way the two together really help. Sam explained the why it exist and the next day Sam shows us around it.
Who knows that they actually discuss it together.
Really? I am totally not aware there is another video. I guess a co-incidence.
Back in the late 80s to the mid-90s, I worked for a couple of airlines in flight operations. I remember several times where we ferried aircraft to park in the desert, though most of those were going into storage. But it's nice to see the end-of-the-road where they go at the end of their flying career.
What interesting and informative vlogs you have here on you Tube Sam. Thanks so much for your passion.
Hey Sam, Thanks for sharing your passion, I don't know how you have all these contacts to get you access but keep up the great work my friend!
I wish i was there. In full captain uniform, making airplane noises while sitting on the captain's chair.
Same lol
You have been helping me because every time I go to sleep I watch one of your videos you have been helping me
Rip 747 you will be missed but not forgotten
Great video. Miss the Thai Airways interior. The only corrections is that the Braniff SP had galleys like the classic 747s.
Amazing journey! Thank you, dear Sam!👍
So many stories affiliated with these airplanes.but nothing is forever.

Are aviation geeks/normal people allowed to go to these airplanes Graveywards? Nice video :)
Funny, an advert for Virgin Atlantic airlines came on towards the end of this video, very appropriate. On the other hand, it's interesting how you guys turn the sad prospect of the 747s and MD-11s getting scrapped into a fun experience in this video. Mojave has always been a place that has fascinated me.
as a flight attendant seeing the planes like this makes me sad =(
NOW THAT WAS SOME EXTREME AVIATION CONTENT OH BABY
You go sam!!
