Have fun. It's a great game. Be patient with yourself, these dudes are monsters that make it look Way easier than what it's actually like (control groups and hot keys are the most important mechanics, atleast at their level of play) Cheers mate!
@@vinimagus Good ideas, but poor execution sums it up quite well. As an european I seem to have a "thing" for the zerg, but I found the larvae-mechanic quite difficult to control. the engage at 26:20 was huge. between this engage and the DT killing the command center on the left just before, Byun went from 200 supply to 140 and parting didnt drop below 190. Impressive we didnt see more losses with the walls/siege lines Byun had up
When Lowko casted PartinG last time my reaction was "huh, ok, old star came back but what I see is quite mediocre with some serious mistakes", with this match PartinG made me extremely excited for the upcoming year in SCII, like I haven't been for a very long time. What I got was an eyegasm of micro- as well as macro-play. I really do hope PartinG will keep up with that 'cause that's really "fresh air" on the scene. He just made a new fan! Blink at 19:33 (19:37 to be exact but I give a little buffer for anyone interested) was ridiculously amazing and big highlight of his gameplay as well as constantly showing his Warp Prism skills. @LowkoTV I want more PartinG!
Parting was the only player to keep up with Life is his prime. You can instantly see his talent once again. Really excited to see how good he will ger.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing just a week of PartinG casts at some point to celebrate his return. He's just really fun to watch, and is after all, the OG Champ!
Would you really say he chose a passive style in G2? Almost every game Parting has been playing 2 base 4 gate elevator pressure (or at least some funky 4 stalker prism play). I'm certain that from the moment he shut down the initial medivac/mine hellion pressure parting was at his front door. If parting has an army 3 feet from your main all game it could become hard to commit across the map as well. I would agree with your assessment at the end, he did destroy him G2.
wow, Parting is showing us some *moves* would love to see him and MaxPax go at it. as much as it pains me to say, MaxPax may have some competition in that #1 Protoss player spot on aligulac--probably if he goes to offline tournaments....although I have heard that he's trying to prepare his mental state for it, heard that he's worried he'll make mistakes in front of a large crowd.
That's all we're gonna hear now from Toss ladder heroes for weeks! "This would have gone differently if only I went 5-base while they were still on 2 bases"
"In my mind PartinG is the one who popularized [Blind Stalkers] in the early days of Starcraft II" I love PartinG too, but I can't sustain the slight against mah boy Jang "MC" Min-chul. If any one person "popularized" a strat as obvious as massing Blink Stalkers, it was MC.
Okay in G2 losing a medivac, 3 widow mines, massive amount of mining time on your natural from losing the building SCV, and 2 hellions in the first 5 minutes ALL basically for free should mean you lose, right? not when you're terran, apparently.
i disagree lowko, i think parting is almost not rusty! he used to lose a lot of stalker for agressive blinks on tanks back in the day too, looked bad but was worth back then, still is imo That col withraw also was nice Also look at that PERFECT simcity parting will be no1 protoss in 6 months
Hab keine Lust jetzt auf englisch zu schrieben musst ja auch nur du verstehen xD. Bist mega wolte das nur mal gesagt haben. Ein Tag ohne Lokow Video ist einfach kein guter ❤. Danke für deinen Content.
On all the players coming back and not being as good as they were, I think it's a lot like any other sport. 17-25 is when you're generally at your peak; you have the time, energy and belief to dedicate. Then you have to start paying rent... And school fees
Terran marines are OP, and should be slightly nerfed IMO. When the vast majority of Terran victories are due to marines and medivacs, with few if any, higher tech Terran units needed, is unbalanced. Whereas protoss and zerg don't play the exact same game every time. In face the other races often have to adjust strategy on the fly. Even a slightly slower drop/pick up speed by the medivacs could level the playing field. Before you say I'm wrong, when the last time you played against an even diamond league Terran who techs past marine/medic and maybe ghosts? There's rarely a need to. Where as both other races have to get nearly maxed out tech to stand even a chance in most games. It's frustrating to see literally one race dominate every game as long as it's marines/medivacs. Seeing every single high level player playing marine/medivac is an obvious sign they are OP
The reason is that they can. Zerg obv has the ability to remax on whatever they want if they have the money, and with Protoss warp ins it takes 30 ish seconds to max supply whereas for Terran it takes much longer requiring a more well rounded comp as it has to be used more
Lowko needs to stop doing drugs, imo... And stop letting his talking (especially random, tangental or not-at-all-related talking) affect what he's showing on screen... Starting w that leet probe attack on scv on 1st barracks and through the whole match; several fights and secondary attacks/offensive actions. And lay off of Protoss... Playing "by the book" isnt an insult, lol, but good try... and sorry, Toss don't have widow mines or burrowing banes. It's prism play or not-good-anymore blink stalks (tho Parting did make it work!), for tickle fights/2ndary attacks
"not quite maxpax level of control" Sorry to say but Parting got far superior control of stalkers than maxpax, since he can also do it offline. That's humiliating comparing one of SC2 legends to guy who is an online hero. Imagine any other game like Counter Strike where casters would be calling "the best sniper in the world" guy who never attended offline event. That's a joke
Lowko said that PartinG is what, 2 weeks back from military service? Clearly he is going to be a little rusty. BTW, micro control is *easier* offline when you have no ping differential.
6:11 is in my opinion humiliating to PartinG. And you *clearly* missed the point in my comment so I'll explain it to you *easier* - maxpax can't control his stalkers offline, even if for progamers it's, like you said, easier.
@@HaploBartow Why is my comment dumb lol Because I'm pointing out that comparing actual proven, successful progamer to some internet poser - especially in times of easily accesible machine learning - is a disgrace to the first one?
