I think a lot of mods in for a larger range of chaotic items but might actually have to take GMO out to remove that stat
In order to make this balanced, I think it would need to have about 6 separate pools. Characters, tier 1-4, and weapons would all randomize only internally.

See, you say you wouldn't want to use too many mods but I say peak stupidity with this mod would be add ALL the mods. And GMO double random. Insanity will ensue. 😂
Would also love if the GMO_COMBINE stat randomly added an entire other character onto you (random or not).
Also curious if there are knock on effects because of it. You got an item that said you started with a Lumberjack Shirt. Is that normal or the Chaos version you rolled because the version you rolled was awful.

You could try a rule like you must always buy the leftmost item in every shop...
I'm thinking maybe I'm not allowed to reroll. There's a decent chance if I had to always buy a specific slot, I'd end up not being able to buy weapons or attack or something run ending lol

I had a run with +25 projectiles, once. Now I'm glad you heeded my warning with mods, just so you know; MOST mods were fine. Most. The Believers negative stats and positive stats broke the game, so did the infinites and the dropbox dude...and a larger item pool isn't exactly *good* but explaining what I mean is difficult.
How is it balanced? Absolutely not, but sometimes there's zero HP, Zero Regen, and you have so much damage but one hit and your dead. XP
Ahem. So actually, I CAN explain. There's a certain amount of random, lets say- and that's spread out across the items, and stat modifiers and effects are taken directly from the code.
More items means more 'same' kind of items. Starting off effects have like a 50% chance to crash, I was SO thankful wholesalers effect worked 'cuz that was fun- as you've seen, the GMO tag replaces a stat change possibility, and that actually matters.
As you've seen, multiple items have the same effects. It's not really fixable, I play with this mod constantly- be VERY careful what additional mods you play with. The Believer's effects always break the game into the hundreds of thousands of stats, because that effect is recursive or something- it does more then that and makes every stat in the entire game effected by it even if you close out or end the run.
So- ah- mods are fine, but won't make as big of a difference as you'd think.
Every run randomizing with a set amount of Chaos. A certain ammount of effects can exist at once, but it doesn't do EVERY effect- that's why there's so many items with the same effects.
This explains so much.

Please play the charcter from flotato mod baby which get 5 matriel per consumable starts with 3 gardens and an improved tools do it with GMO to do baby baby also sorry that iam bombarding you with video ideos

I don't want to be that guy but I LITTERALLY screamed when you passed the teir 3 candle with all positives and +75% to elites...
I most likely read it wrong. There's going to be plenty of that in chaos mode lol
Add one mod besides gmo or start with one random character + one of your choice

Ok, I only got to 4 minutes and I have to instal this NOW!
Then again, I uninstalled it after half a game, you get super OP and take forever reading every item xD
If you want to do more with chaos, you should add the mod that has believer in it and then play with a character that has believer's abilities. That would be insane and also continue your believer runs.
