I love seeing people really excited for this movie, only to see that particular joy fade away within the first 5 minutes. Great rollercoaster of a movie. It may well be the MCU masterpiece.

@@williamweber9390 - It is the stronger film, I definitely agree; but they are two halves of a whole, so it's kind of a moot point. There is a reason Endgame was originally titled Infinity War Part 2.
@@maximillianosaben I know but someone can still like 1 more than the other. Most people think end game is or was the best Mcu film. I liked infinity war because we’re so used to the winning and it was the complete opposite

No big spoiler here, but that's actually a very small subplot in Endgame.......A LOT of PTSD for the surviving general population.

If I have the ability to die to make sure children lives, I would easily take the death.
If half of our planet would have to die to ensure that all remaining people would survive and prosper, it's an easy choice.

40:21 That's probably one of my favorite scenes in all of the MCU, Cap using all his strength and he's actually able to push back on Thanos' hand (even though he's a Titan and at this point has five of the six Infinity stones), and Thanos watches with bewildered amusement and then has to use his free hand to knock Cap to the ground.

It's also a theory that Thanos killed Cap with that punch, but when he turned back time he also revived him. For added evidence bruce banner was inside the rock but after thanos left he was out.

I knew you guys would freak on this! Everyone who has never seen the comics was shocked at the ending. If you didn't notice the original 6 Avengers survived the snap. Pure poetry.

i love how this movie shows how much sacrafice plays a role. Thanos was sacrifices everything and achieves his goal, the Avengers on the other hand wouldnt sacrifice and end up losing.
Except ironically Dr Strange who was adamant he wouldn't sacrifice the time stone before he looked into the future
@@Jacoc323 yea but he only did so after he knew it was the only way to win and how it all turns out and Wanda sacrificed Vision at the end when there was no other choice and it ultimately doesnt matter
fun fact the actor who plays peter quill got so many tweets on his tweeter page of people blaming quill for attacking thanos which stopped them from taking the gauntlet glove which allowed thanos to kill half the universe , that he had to issue a tweet saying he was sorry for what peter did in this movie
Cause people forget its a movie. But it is his character's fault. Lucky he was part of the snap otherwise he'd be(should) the most hated in the universe.

The energy going into the theater vs coming out of it was so drastically different we were questioning everything. Also, Thanos “retired” at the Banawe Rice Terraces. 😂

I think the reason Rocket doesn't mind Thor calling him "Rabbit", is because he's not being insulting or condescending. Most of the time people are talking down to Rocket and calling him names. Great reactions...you both caught on to some things very fast..like the scene at nowhere when Thanos got the reality stone, and when Thanos was turning back time to get the mind stone. In the theater those took the audience (and me) by surprise.
Besides, Rocket would rather be called a rabbit before being called a raccoon.
First time watching you guys and i love especially Joy because she clearly remembers all the minor details of the entire MCU and explained them correctly. Very awesome to see :D

It is strange that they have made it all the way to Infinity War and they are still not recognizing the Stan Lee cameos this time he was driving the bus saying that they never saw a spaceship before

yes we do who stan lee is! we don't always add here on our yt channel that we recognize him because we have said it couple of times already. Just because we don't mention stan lee everytime he shows up, doesn't mean we don't know him. We were glad to see him in Infnity War since he passed away. He will always be remembered! 💚

I saw this in the theater when it came out. Now, up until this one, I was used to lots of applause at the end of Marvel movies. Well, not with this one! The whole, packed theater was DEAD SILENT as the credits rolled on this movie.

The downside of knowing the comics to a certain extent is that I could guess how this was going to end. So it was a bit of a bummer to not be shocked along with everyone else at how it ended. Still, great movie. And I do appreciate how "the snap" has had enormous, lasting consequences for the MCU.
It would've been so much more epic if it would've followed the comics.

The device Nick Fury had at the end sent a signal to Captain Marvel. That was her symbol it showed at the end.
10:14 - It's called the Iron Spider Suit. Tony gave it to Peter Parker during the Civil War comics to help him fight Captain America. It basically has all the tech of Tony's armor, but adds mechanical legs (called "Waldoes") to augment Parker's movement & dexterity (and mimic being a spider).

Peter reacting more intensely than most of the other characters wasn't just because he's "a kid", it's because of his Spidey Sense. He can sense impending danger, and he could sense what was about to happen to him. It was more profound than any previous Spidey Sense trigger, and he also knew there was nothing he could do about it (usually the Sense allows him to avoid or nullify the danger), and he just couldn't process it.
She is right, that is the Red Skull, Captain Americas enemy. He vanished of the jet in the movie.
It was hard to watch Hulk get beat up! He was my favorite when I was a kid! I'm in my 40s but if I was 10 years old again It's possible I would have cried 😄

I love that Tony Stark really put up a fight and made Thanos bleed. He was even surprised by the gaze of he's own blood.
We knew Tony wouldn't win, but it was awesome to watch anyway.

Great job, guys!!!! You two could barely contain your excitement!! I was just as excited for you, too! Yeah, there's a lot to this movie, primarily because the comics behind this is so rich. Also, because Thanos is a very complicated character who knows no bounds. My biggest disappointment was that Kevin Feige did not include Adam Warlock, the one who could have destroyed Thanos. He's not even officially in the MCU yet!!! Well, we can hope that later he will be. Thanks, again!!!!

let me offer and alternative perspective from Thano's viewpoint.
Thanos is not human, he's a titan powerful enough to handle and wield all the stones. So to him, earthlings are like ants.
SO....lets imagine we as humans purchase an ant-farm. it's amusing, mildly interesting, but really just ants.
Imagine one morning, you wake up and see a new batch of ant eggs hatched and the tiny glass ant farm is horribly overcrowded. You cant even pop in enough food through the tiny holes to feed them fast enough.
Its not inconcievable that you might take the ant farm outside, open up one side, tap it a few times until enough ants fall out (and to their death, without a queen), close it up, and then go back indoors and then back to your day, where ants are merely a distraction.
Because we (and Thanos) cant empathize with something much much tinier than us....it's easier to commit an atrocity. We do it all the time, when we kill a wasp or hornet nest or destroy an ant hill in the back yard. To us, it's pest control. To the wasps, hornets, and ants, it's an event of mass destruction.

Everyone will have a job, and people will be needed to keep the world running. Everyone will have a house as half of them are not used anymore, we could use only solar energy now that we don't need the production rates of today.
And he does not choose who dies and who lives, it's random. There is no judgment, no morals, no discrimination. young, old, nice and mean, sick or healthy...
Your math is off in a couple of ways. If there is one loaf of bread and 4 people to feed you get 1/4 (2/8 if you want to call it that) not 1/6 and there's no 2/6 for later. Also Thanos erased half of ALL life which would include half of all animals and plants so you would have 1/2 a loaf of bread to feed 4 people. Each person would still be getting 1/8 of a loaf. Eventually things might return to pre-snap proportions but immediately after the snap thing would be even worse because half of the people needed to provide the food would be gone. If getting the food to you was originally a 2-person job (1 to create and 1 to transport for example) and now there's only 1 person to do it , you aren't getting half as much food. You're getting no food at all.

Love your discussion about Thanos and his motivations- I think that's what makes him such an interesting villain, that we can all understand why he's doing what he's doing even if we don't agree with it. Although- if he had all that power, why didn't he snap and increase resources twofold so everyone could thrive?
