And Thanos is just holding them like they're tic-tacs he pulled out of his pocket. That's the biggest flex in all of the MCU and no one even notices because he makes it look easy.

I was on the first show late night on premier day, all crowd went silently from theatre after credits while people in queue to watch film was so happy and excited. Sweet summer children.
10/10 To this day one of the most impossible films to pull off This film is an achievement unto itself. Unlike any other marvel movie, this deserves to be praised for bringing around 25+ popular characters and putting them all in a cohesive narrative thats unlike anything that came before it. At least 20 movies filled with characters and storyline nuances were successfully kept intact here yet the main character was the villain that had barely had any screentime previously, yet was written in a way that you could empathise with him and tied him into prior events like the new york invasion. The movie itself is structured perfectly, from the perspective of Thanos putting him in a heroes journey making him go to different locations to collect the stones from different heroes weve come to know, and pairing different combinations of heroes in an insanely well written way so every character stood out and had an iconic moment to shine. All in all the scope of this film is beyond anything that has come before it and even more so than Endgame, but they kept the narrative grounded and paced it perfectly. And the ending of the movie is one of the best endings ever. The best superhero/ comic book film of all time after The Dark Knight.
@Chandler Morgan I'd say I'm slightly more impressed with Endgame because they achieved the same thing, but also wrapped up so many arcs in a compelling way, too. To just dust everyone is a bold move, but screwing up an ending is also the easiest thing in the world to do -- it's why so many epic television shows have rough finales that leave audiences disappointed or frustrated or even angry enough to forsake the entire franchise (lookin' at you, Game of Thrones and Dexter). But to close it all off in a meaningful and satisfying way is, conversely, one of the hardest things to do in writing. And it's by the same people, so together IW and Endgame are both amazing achievements in cinema. I highly doubt any other franchise will ever be able to repeat any of this, to this scale and degree.
He was connected to the invasion of New York, he is the one who gave the mine stone (the staff) to Loki, we just didn’t see him till the end credit scene, up until that the Other did the talking for Thanos, but by Infinity War Ronan had killed the Other.
Remember that out of 14 million possibilities there is one and only one sequence of events that eventually leads to victory. So, if Strange says "it was the only way" it´s because any other choice would cause Thanos final victory. Actually this was a good idea on the part of the writers. Any possible mistake can be solved by answering: "that happened because otherwise they had lost in the end". Thor had to go for the chest and Quill had to lose it over Gamora, otherwise, even if it seems counterintuitive, Thanos had won in the end.
Also you have to think about what he considers a "win". Stopping Thanos, but at what cost? How many more have to die, and for what? A battle that ends up decimating Earth anyways? Or destroying it? Strange saw a very specific outcome and knew what was needed to get there.
The Hilltop scene is the "soul" of cinema The music, the story, the acting, the set Everything together makes one of the two best scenes in the MCU! The other... well it's the same scene- just one Avengers Movie later
Superb timing. 5 years ago around this time is when Infinity War came out. I was only 18…and now im 23. Time flies by. Well, the funny thing is Dr Strange and Tony are quite literally the same character archetype being rich and arrogant but Stephan is the mature one 🤣
Five years since we got into the Endgame. I was 21, now 26 years old and I’ll never forget the hype surrounding this movie. A once in a lifetime experience.
Great reaction, I could really tell how much you love the characters. 500 people leaving the theater in stunned and confused sadness, such a great movie
Damn, you took the ending to this movie pretty damn well :) I've seen other reactions where people understandably lost it when our favorite heroes died at the end here. Anyway, no worries because you'll appreciate and love this movie over time. It's honestly the best MCU movie so far, and it has SO much replay value :D We love you too btw!
When I went to this movie I was actually new to this whole MCU stuff. I knew Iron Man (1 to 3), Ant Man and Dr. Strange. Some of the other characters I had heard off. :,D Then I went to this movie and I loved it. I thought "Wow! I really have to watch all of these movies so I know what's going on!". But when they dusted away I thought "Wow, now I don't need to watch them anymore, I guess!" Of course, I bought all of the movies the next week and binged through them. A week later, I went to Infinity War again and it hit harder. Then, I had to wait A WHOLE YEAR! At least, you can watch Endgame soon.
Colette, the Children of Thanos are a group of 6 children that Thanos adopted when he was on his halvening crusade, and trained them to be his super team. Gamora and Nebula were part of this group, but with them gone, they call themselves the Black Order now. Ebony Maw = telekinetic Squidward Cull Obsidian = big claw hammer dude Corvus Glaive = dark elf lookin spear guy Proxima Midnight = creepy blue horned chick Also Hulk refuses to come out because he's tired of only being needed when everyone wants him to break stuff and then bottle him up afterwards. He's a full blown personality who wants to have his time with the body too. Also, he has the mentality of a child and he just got beat up by Thanos pretty handily. What does a kid do when they get bullied? They hide, because they're scared.
@@ColetteCherry It was a pleasure watching this treasured film with you, your reactions moved our hearts and minds, this is how we felt watching Infinity War for the first time. I saw it 3 times at the cinema myself.

Strange said there was no other way because he looked at 14 million futures and only 1 they win. He gave the time stone to keep to the 1 possible future. There was no other way.
This is the MCU masterpiece. The story isn't finished without Endgame, but all the same. (They were originally titled Infinity War Part 1 & Infinity War Part 2, but they changed the second one to Avengers: Endgame because although they are two halves of a whole story, tonally they are very different films, which you will notice relatively early on.)
@12:33 even when the world is in trouble, Tony still lands the best jokes. The four lackeys that were with Thanos are the Black Order: Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, and Cull Obsidian. They’re also Gamora and Nebula’s siblings by adoption. @29:29 I hereby officially dub thee an Avenger. @33:42, @33:50, and @43:20 lol hahahahahahaha!!!!!! Those who theorized about Red Skull returning were right. The army of aliens that attacked Wakanda are called Outriders. As Groot vanished, “I am Groot” in that moment was him saying “dad…”. If you look closely, Wanda welcomed death. At that point, she felt she lost everything. Spider-Man’s vanishing was the most painful to watch. Back in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tony did say that he’d feel responsible if Peter died and didn’t want that piled on his conscience. The Russo Brothers knew what they were doing. Spider-Man has been a fan favorite for years, and the MCU’s incarnation is a high school teen with a lot of potential. That’s why they made his death slow on purpose. Just before he vanished, he apologized to his mentor feeling he didn’t do enough to stop Thanos but he gave it his all.
What's even more messed up is Peter's Spidey Sense told him what was happening to him before it happened. That's why he was able to get out so many lines before he disintegrated.
Except the Red Skull didn't really return in any meaningful way. It could have been anyone, or a generic new character. He no longer had anything in common with the Red Skull, other than his appearance. Not his motivation, his Hydra affiliation, his Nazi ideology, etc. All he was, was a receptionist for Vormir. No longer a character at all, just a piece of exposition. He could have been replaced by a sign: "Welcome to Vormir! If you're here to get the Soul Stone, please throw one (1) loved one off the cliff. Thank you for choosing Vormir, for all your Soul Stone needs!" Notice also how the Black Older all make reference to "black": Ebony: a black wood Corvus: Latin for "crow" or "raven" a black bird Obsidian: a black stone Midnight: a black time of day.
Strange's job was to safeguard the Time Stone. Then he looked forward into the future. That changed everything. He knows what needs to happen to get to that one future where we win. Dr Strange, a man of science who became a sorcerer, has to take a leap of faith. So, he lets Thanos have the Stone. "It was the only way," he said.
It was such an incredible experience. Everyone was in such awe throughout the movie and shock leaving the theater. The silence could be cut with a knife. Truly epic.
@@wildcard04 I remember during Spider-Man’s death, I was freaking out so much, screaming at the screen (which I never do!) something like “NO, NOT HIM, ANYONE BUT HIM!” And still to this day cry watching him begging not to go.. I can’t see myself passing out from that whole movie though. That’s pretty crazy.
For about half of the run time, I kept telling myself they were going to revive Loki, Gamora, etc. At the end when everyone turned to dust, I cried nonstop for about an hour. The most visceral response I've ever had to a movie.

Hulk is stronger than Thanos (especially when Hulk is angry) but Thanos is a warrior and knows how to fight, unlike Hulk who has no more knowledge of fighting than Bruce Banner and likely even less. Try to imagine what it was like for us knowing that we had to wait an ENTIRE YEAR for the conclusion to this! But man, was it worth it. Probably the greatest movie experience of my life. This is what movies were made for.
Best MCU movie and it's not that close, in my opinion. Strange messed up by not using the time stone, and Thanos even said as much. "You never even used your greatest weapon."
I've been a comic book fan since I was a little kid. The original Infinity series of comics from Jim Starlin were some of my favorites. Walking out of the theater with my SO at the time, I turn to her and said "This is the comic book movie I've been waiting my entire life for"
Throughout the whole film Thanos talks about sacrifices and the will it requires to make those sacrifices. He had this will and the Avengers didn’t, that’s why they lost. Thanos made the sacrifices he needed for his cause while the Avengers kept the motto “we don’t trade lives” and that was their downfall. This theme is one of the reasons this movie is the best in the MCU imo.
Loki affirming who is is: “Odinson” Also: “What if somebody had died tonight? Different story, right? 'Cause that's on you. And if you died, I feel like that's on me. I don't need that on my conscience… ‘Sorry’ doesn’t cut it.”
worth noting each stone was obtained through something that spelled out THANOS Teseract = Space Hilltop = Soul Aether = Reality Necklace = Time Orb = Power Scepter = Mind
When I was in theathers watching this, when credits were rolling you could have cut the silence with a knife. It was so deep. People couldn´t believe that it just happened and it would take almost a year before we would see the conclusion
Strange gave up the stone for Tony’s life because he saw there was only one future where they could win and he saw that Tony was the key to beating Thanos. That was continued in Endgame, even though Endgame was not nearly as good of a movie as Infinity War is. Strange didn’t actually go against his promise to sacrifice anyone for the time stone, he just saw that there was no other future to win without Tony/IronMan.
Thanos and Zemo are the best villains in of all the movies until endgame because their motivations. A lot of villains are just evil and thats it but Zemo's motivations was to made justice for his family and Thanos motivations is save the universe of the extintion Both motivations are good and noble, but their feeling of depression, sadness, loniless and personal trauma (dead family and dead planet) made them desperate and extremist to the point that they use cruel methods to reach their goals, and thats made them very complex characters
That is a lot of Marvel villains though, because Stan Lee had the idea that no one is 100% evil and no one is 100% good. Some of the characters we see as good do horrible things like Wolverine and the Punisher where as villains like Magneto you can see where they are coming from in their way of thinking.
@@Cream-2128 Calling them generic villains is ridiculous. They show Magneto at the concentration camp at the start of the first movie, his motivations are pretty clear. Obadiah felt that Tony was a punk kid who didn't deserve to be CEO, and like many capitalists, didn't care where the money came from as long as they got paid. Vanko wants revenge for what happened to his father. Loki has a lot of issues through the movies. Red Skull believes he is the actual Ubermensch. Killian has a serious obsession with Tony, and Pepper. He manufactures a terrorist to make extremis a hot commodity. The Dark Elves believe the universe is wrong, and want to put it back the way it was. Hydra wants to create their own version of a peaceful world, at the cost of all freedom. Ronan is a religious zealot, a terrorist. Ultron is the ultimate precocious child having the worst tantrum ever. Cross feels betrayed by Pym, and wants to be the apprentice who eclipses his master. Also, totally immoral, narcissist businessman. Kaecilius thinks The Ancient One has been holding out on her students, which she has, and due to his own personal issues seeks to stop everyone from dying. Like Thanos, he doesn't care what anyone else wants, and convinces himself the consequences don't exist, or are worth it. Ego is... well, a megalomaniac. It's sort of in the name. Vulture wants to take care of his family, and like many others convinces himself the ends justify the means. Hela is the goddess of war, again, it's sort of right there in the name. Killmonger is the worst one in my book, he goes from having perfectly reasonable motives... to kill whitey, cause some white people were mean to some black people, and that means all black people should care about it (even though the slaves were originally enslaved by other black people, but lets just ignore actual history), and all white people should be punished. Cause we're all the same...
Ivan Vanko to Tony Stark in Iron Man 2: "You make a god bleed, people will stop believing in them" Tony, someone who is just man is the first to make Thanos, a would be godlike force, bleed, even if only a drop
Hulk was afraid to come out because he just had his ass kicked by Thanos. Thanos is an abusive "parent" to the children he abducted, like Nebula and Gamora. He tortured them and replaced body parts. There can still be love in such a relationship, because children don't know any better and need to be loved. But it is a twisted kind of love.
After Endgame, you need to check also DC. Man of Steel, Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition, Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad (although I wish it was the Director's true vision, but oh, well) and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Strange said he would sacrifice Stark before the Time Stone before he saw the 14,000,605 alternate futures and found out that if Thanos killed Stark then they would lose their only chance to win and that was why he gave up the Time Stone because it was the only way
There's more to why he wants to kill half of all life.. you don't find out for a while... But in comics and in animation He was in love with the entity death he was in love with her and he tries to impress her anyway he can...
the thing is, thanos was sorry. He raised and trained Gamora to be one of the best assassins in the universe and she was his next in line before everything, and still he maintained a high level of respect for her, then he found out she would have to be the sacrifice to obtain the goal he has ALWAYS wanted, which was even stated by Gamora herself. He really, genuinely was sorry because this was the only way to get what they both know he felt he needed more than anything else, something he is putting his very own life on the line for. Even with the reality stone he cant fake those tears.
When I was in cinema watching this the first week of release I was step by step agreeing with Thanos, and in the end I was so fking fullfil, the music with the violin or celo or those instruments, it was perfect, because he was right, and maybe I was one of the few "happy" with that cuz the rest was mad, angry, disappointed, etc. If marvel would've have guts and honor they would keep it that way and after canceled the movies of doc strange, Spidey, black panther, etc, cuz at that moment those were confirmed, so everyone knew they would be alive at the end, so 🥱 But they chose money instead of glory
Imagine seeing this in theaters and having to wait a year to find out what happened. Everyone in the theater was shocked and crying. Walking out of there, everybody waiting for the next showing was surprised that the people coming out were that upset
We have a Squidward reference from Tony Stark. Squidward Q. Tentacles, the character from SpongeBob SquarePants, actually does look a little like Ebony Maw.
Watching people coming out of the previous showing, they were all looked lost, no one said a word. When it ended for my audience, no one moved, most silent (ending of a movie) in a movie theater I have ever experienced. Took awhile for people to get up and exit, nobody could process what just happened, or how things go on from here. We had to wait a year for answers (with some other Marvel movies in between).
something you need to watch for. every Marvel movie has a cameo by Stan Lee who created most of the comics the MCU films are based on. it's a recognition that without him there'd be no MCU. in this movie he's Peter's bus driver.
The Hulk has "limitless strength based on how angry he gets" via Comic book lore, but the reason he lost SO fast to Thanos at the beginning of the film is because he wasn't angry at all, and had just met Thanos for the first time... He was unprepared for the interaction.
Colette, in the comics, Thanos doesn't care about esuaging hunger, he only cares about killing the most people he can, to up his bodycount to appease his desire, the Lady Death, a goddess of death in marvel comics, but we saw a goddess of death in Thor 3. Hela, and she was imprisoned until Odin died. so i think that's why Thanos was waiting until Odin died, he wanted to see his girlfriend again and Thanos is thousands of years old. we were supposed to see baby Thanos i think in an upcoming movie, but they didn't show him. but they changed the story for some reason about why he is killing people.

Not only that, but how many futures did Strange see that showed him giving up the stone, only for Tony to also be dusted.
This was so messed up. Seeing it in theaters knowing you had another year before endgame. The entire theater was silent. And we all trudged out like zombies. Some people crying, everyone confused
I was on the first show late night on premier day, all crowd went silently from theatre after credits while people in queue to watch film was so happy and excited. Sweet summer children.
No, it as awesome. Best ending that could ever have been. No need for Endgame shtshow.
I can’t wait to tell my kids about Infinity War + Endgame.
You just had to be there
it was definitely this generations Star Wars/Empire. My dad got to live through both.
10/10
To this day one of the most impossible films to pull off
This film is an achievement unto itself.
Same, I gave Infinity war a 10/10, and Endgame 9.5/10 for me
its aight movie 7/10
There are over 50 plus Marvel/MCU films, don't know how many DC superhero movies, this is the only film where the superheroes lose.
He was connected to the invasion of New York, he is the one who gave the mine stone (the staff) to Loki, we just didn’t see him till the end credit scene, up until that the Other did the talking for Thanos, but by Infinity War Ronan had killed the Other.
Your face at the end of the movie was priceless because a lot of people had that reaction
That was everyone's face leaving the theater in stunned silence.
Infinity Saga of the MCU is just perfect and Infinity War and Endgame is a masterpiece. ❤
Hulk’s issue is that he is like the playground bully, unstoppable until he ran into Thanos, now Hulk is afraid to come out.
The Hilltop scene is the "soul" of cinema
The music, the story, the acting, the set
Everything together makes one of the two best scenes in the MCU!
The other... well it's the same scene- just one Avengers Movie later
that face at the end. Ya, we all felt that and were crushed for a whole other year until part 2. Still hits hard in the feels
Superb timing. 5 years ago around this time is when Infinity War came out. I was only 18…and now im 23. Time flies by.
Well, the funny thing is Dr Strange and Tony are quite literally the same character archetype being rich and arrogant but Stephan is the mature one 🤣
Saw this movie 5 years ago I was 34 at the time time flies😊
Five years since we got into the Endgame. I was 21, now 26 years old and I’ll never forget the hype surrounding this movie. A once in a lifetime experience.
I remember seeing this in the theatres. It was so surreal. The ending just left everyone in shock.
and don't forget we had to wait a whole year for a l direct follow up
Great reaction, I could really tell how much you love the characters.
500 people leaving the theater in stunned and confused sadness, such a great movie
Imagine waiting a year between Infinity War and Endgame!
Was brutal
@@H7654-j4e Sure was.
And only having Cp Marvel & Ant Man & the Wasp in between to figure out wth
Meh. Are there people who actually thought there was a suspense? Who were actually wondering if the disappeared were gonna be back or not?
@@SCharlesDennicon there was a suspense not for that but to see what they were gonna do
Quickly one of my favorite TH-camrs
The Sanctum Sanctorum is located in the Greenwich Village part of New York City. The precise location is fluid and undisclosed for obvious reasons.
Damn, you took the ending to this movie pretty damn well :)
I've seen other reactions where people understandably lost it when our favorite heroes died at the end here.
Anyway, no worries because you'll appreciate and love this movie over time. It's honestly the best MCU movie so far, and it has SO much replay value :D
We love you too btw!
But when they dusted away I thought "Wow, now I don't need to watch them anymore, I guess!"
Of course, I bought all of the movies the next week and binged through them. A week later, I went to Infinity War again and it hit harder. Then, I had to wait A WHOLE YEAR! At least, you can watch Endgame soon.
"Thanos will return? Thanos will return! THANOS WILL RETURN?!?!.... FRECK!! " 😂 Great reaction!!
When Thanos said “I like him” it’s because he saw that Quill had the will to kill Gamora even if it was the last thing he wanted to do.
Just re-watced this...very powerful scene. Finally get Starlord/Gamora we wanted...
Colette, the Children of Thanos are a group of 6 children that Thanos adopted when he was on his halvening crusade, and trained them to be his super team. Gamora and Nebula were part of this group, but with them gone, they call themselves the Black Order now.
Ebony Maw = telekinetic Squidward
Cull Obsidian = big claw hammer dude
Corvus Glaive = dark elf lookin spear guy
Proxima Midnight = creepy blue horned chick
Also Hulk refuses to come out because he's tired of only being needed when everyone wants him to break stuff and then bottle him up afterwards. He's a full blown personality who wants to have his time with the body too. Also, he has the mentality of a child and he just got beat up by Thanos pretty handily. What does a kid do when they get bullied? They hide, because they're scared.
That only happened with gamora and nebula
I've binge watched all your Marvel reactions the past week and have been anticipating your reaction to Infinity War.
I'm so excited!!!!!
hey thanks for being here!!!!!!!
@@ColetteCherry It was a pleasure watching this treasured film with you, your reactions moved our hearts and minds, this is how we felt watching Infinity War for the first time. I saw it 3 times at the cinema myself.
I was drinking water when you said "its ok, i need to calm down, No one else is gonna die" at the beginning and i almost spit it out lol
Eitri: You understand boy? You're about to take the full force of a star, it'll kill you.
Thor: B*tch please, I'm an Aussie. We take the full force of a star every summer.
The reason why Heimdall sent Hulk away is to warn the other Avengers that Thanos is coming.
“It’s just like Tony’s nightmare. He’s the only one left alive.”
**Immediate cut to Cap, Thor, Banner, and Widow all being alive**
haha well he was not with them at that time, he was solo for the avengers left on TITAN :(
Stan Lee was the bus driver.
"What's the matter with you kids? Haven't you ever seen the creator of all your favorite superheroes before?"
@33:42, @33:50, and @43:20 lol hahahahahahaha!!!!!!
In the comics Peter gets bit when he is 16 so he is suppose to be a high school teen lol
Thank you for choosing Vormir, for all your Soul Stone needs!"
Notice also how the Black Older all make reference to "black":
Ebony: a black wood
Corvus: Latin for "crow" or "raven" a black bird
Obsidian: a black stone
Midnight: a black time of day.
I understand from experience how the ending of this movie made me feel. On the plus side, you don’t have to wait a year to see the next movie.
No but their are two movies between the, Ant Man and the Wasp being the more important of the two imho
@@andrewft31 I wasn’t saying that she skip those. Just saying that she doesn’t have to wait a year.
Strange said he would choose the stone over the others, but that was before he looked into all the other timelines.
I'm with Colette cried on Spider-Man death too 😢.
he was so sad and didn't want to go :(
@@ColetteCherry Man back then it was terrible seeing everyone we love get snapped away. And Steve and Tony were the reason that happened.
"Its ok, no one else is gonna die" - that was an optimistic line ^^
Oh how I wish I could’ve seen this in the theater 😭
It was such an incredible experience. Everyone was in such awe throughout the movie and shock leaving the theater. The silence could be cut with a knife. Truly epic.
@@Andrew.Grabowski just saw a tweet earlier, from 2018 about someone on a stretcher who passed out after seeing Infinity War 💀
The most visceral response I've ever had to a movie.
been waiting for this video to release!
Groot's final words to Rocket as he was disappearing were "Dad"
Tbh I almost don’t even want to watch this video just bc I don’t want to accept you are this far already into MCU. Commenting before I start it so hope you love it, and, in the sweetest meaning, hope you cry by the end. Let’s gooooo beautiful
Now put yourself in the shoes of us who saw this on first release who didn’t have all the foreknowledge of events/shows/movies and survivors to come, and you’ll know what the ending of this truly felt like…
Hulk is stronger than Thanos (especially when Hulk is angry) but Thanos is a warrior and knows how to fight, unlike Hulk who has no more knowledge of fighting than Bruce Banner and likely even less.
Try to imagine what it was like for us knowing that we had to wait an ENTIRE YEAR for the conclusion to this! But man, was it worth it. Probably the greatest movie experience of my life. This is what movies were made for.
Loved your reaction, love it when people get as emotional as I did when I first saw it
Yeah Hulk wasn’t coming out after that beating from Thanos 😂😂
50:00 True to his character, Spiderman apologies to Stark for "f*ckin up". He didn't
This theme is one of the reasons this movie is the best in the MCU imo.
the thingy at the end was an old device used for communication. the logo was the design on Captain Marvel's suit
Loki affirming who is is: “Odinson”
Also:
“What if somebody had died tonight? Different story, right? 'Cause that's on you. And if you died, I feel like that's on me. I don't need that on my conscience… ‘Sorry’ doesn’t cut it.”
Thor has the greatest entrance into a scene in cinematic history
worth noting each stone was obtained through something that spelled out THANOS
Teseract = Space
Hilltop = Soul
Aether = Reality
Necklace = Time
Orb = Power
Scepter = Mind
"Uh, he's from space. He came here to steal a necklace from a wizard." All true, and yet... 🤣
"Have you ever seen this really old movie Aliens?"
Even Cape was like "Are you serious?"
When I was in theathers watching this, when credits were rolling you could have cut the silence with a knife. It was so deep. People couldn´t believe that it just happened and it would take almost a year before we would see the conclusion
The fact i already watched this movie so many times but i still got emocional at the end is INSANE. This movie is too good.
Make sure you have a LOT of tissues to cry into for Endgame, Collette...
The Hulk is actually scared of Thanos which is why he doesn't show up in the entire movie after getting his butt kicked in the first 5 minutes.
Thanos and Zemo are the best villains in of all the movies until endgame because their motivations. A lot of villains are just evil and thats it but Zemo's motivations was to made justice for his family and Thanos motivations is save the universe of the extintion
Both motivations are good and noble, but their feeling of depression, sadness, loniless and personal trauma (dead family and dead planet) made them desperate and extremist to the point that they use cruel methods to reach their goals, and thats made them very complex characters
That is a lot of Marvel villains though, because Stan Lee had the idea that no one is 100% evil and no one is 100% good. Some of the characters we see as good do horrible things like Wolverine and the Punisher where as villains like Magneto you can see where they are coming from in their way of thinking.
@@andrewft31 nah the movies changed it. Hell even magneto was generic villain before Claremont took over xmen
When you said “I don’t think tony plans on surviving any of this” & “Tony’s ready to die” I was like 👁️👄👁️
Colette: Take anybody but Iron Man!
The rest of us who saw Endgame: Oh, boy...
My aunt, uncle, and cousin only saw the Spider-Man movies so they have no idea Peter and others were dead for 5 years.
Ivan Vanko to Tony Stark in Iron Man 2: "You make a god bleed, people will stop believing in them"
Tony, someone who is just man is the first to make Thanos, a would be godlike force, bleed, even if only a drop
Thanos is not pure evil. He's just psychotic. His intentions are genuinely loving.
That’s why he killed his daughter
@@MaisieDhomhnaill exactly
Strange said he would sacrifice Stark before the Time Stone before he saw the 14,000,605 alternate futures and found out that if Thanos killed Stark then they would lose their only chance to win and that was why he gave up the Time Stone because it was the only way
craziest opening to a marvel movie lol so many emotional moments at the very beginning, really setting up the stakes of how dangerous thanos is
There's more to why he wants to kill half of all life.. you don't find out for a while... But in comics and in animation He was in love with the entity death he was in love with her and he tries to impress her anyway he can...
Your outfits are always spot on!
You got that right
the thing is, thanos was sorry.
If marvel would've have guts and honor they would keep it that way and after canceled the movies of doc strange, Spidey, black panther, etc, cuz at that moment those were confirmed, so everyone knew they would be alive at the end, so 🥱
But they chose money instead of glory
Imagine seeing this in theaters and having to wait a year to find out what happened.
Everyone in the theater was shocked and crying. Walking out of there, everybody waiting for the next showing was surprised that the people coming out were that upset
It’s actually proven that he cared about Ebony Maw but loves Gamora
We have a Squidward reference from Tony Stark. Squidward Q. Tentacles, the character from SpongeBob SquarePants, actually does look a little like Ebony Maw.
Watching people coming out of the previous showing, they were all looked lost, no one said a word. When it ended for my audience, no one moved, most silent (ending of a movie) in a movie theater I have ever experienced. Took awhile for people to get up and exit, nobody could process what just happened, or how things go on from here. We had to wait a year for answers (with some other Marvel movies in between).
It’s not surprising that mantis was able to put thanos to sleep since she successfully put a celestial guardian to sleep
something you need to watch for. every Marvel movie has a cameo by Stan Lee who created most of the comics the MCU films are based on. it's a recognition that without him there'd be no MCU. in this movie he's Peter's bus driver.
29:10 Benedict and RDJ both played Sherlock Holmes. Love their chemistry!!
I remember seeing this in theaters, definitely was astronomically blindsided
Not about saving the world, its about saving half the population of the universe.
“No one else is gonna die”
Oh honey you got another thing coming
I love how misunderstood Thanos is
