    The one and only Rory g. Always good to hear. He was so frustrated at this time with the music business. Rory stayed true to his musical beliefs, never sold out. Best live performer ever. Rory g, a unique human being, extraordinary musician. Thanks for this👍

    What a simple , humble man , pure of heart I’ll always love Rory Gallagher since I saw him in 1982 he’s been a true hero to me and I don’t have many of those

    Thanks. Haven’t seen in awhile. It’s where he says “you have to believe in your own self even if your slightly wrong” nobody is right all the time! He’s got my philosophy of life in a lot of ways and he’s not mainstream. He’s very a special person in a lot of ways. I always like good manners a lot. Some people are like that. They’re special too. We often think a genius is a PhD, or highly published professor, or a quantum mechanics research scientist.
    But here is a genius, a musical genius who has made so many people happy. Rory served his fans.

    Cool hearing them mention Trower. Both are great guitar players, I would say both of them are in my top ten guitar players.

    I sense interviewer was making Rory uncomfortable with questions about Taste. But Rory ever the gentleman did not tell him to bug off or walk out.

      It must get boring taking about the same stuff for years, same questions, same answers and the interviewer does not seem that good, he's certainly never gonna get a chat show thats for sure.

      Same thing lovely man It seems when you talk with Rory he tries to make you feel at ease.... when I told him i was from Chicago a big smile came on his face and he said he always enjoys playing here...When we knew he was coming to town it was always a party festive day...he's truly missed@@ScottishTeeVee

    I'm so happy that Rory does not sound like Garry Glitter, no disrespect intended.

  • @Ian-bq7gp
    @Ian-bq7gp 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Thank god he never sounded like Gary Glitter. Rory kept to live blues sound like seeing a great blues band playing in your local pub. Papa George used to play Sunday lunch down the Leather bottle in Wimbledon or the Southampton pub Surbiton and other venues around South London . They were a tight band who played covers of some blues tracks like oh Well well well by Fleetwood Mac. There were some great blues gigs down the pub like Groundhogs, Steve Marriott pack of 3, and later on Nine Below Zero with Gerry McAvoy when he left Rory and they were red hot live and had a great reputation as a brilliant blues based band. Great times and Wilko Johnson, Steve Gibbons and many other really good small gigs went on that were normally cheap to get in. Alabama 3 are another great live band to see and they've been playing and doing some great original albums for many years now. Thank goodness there are still some great live musicians around otherwise it would be mainly DJs which like showbands have often not much creative input and just churn out awful commercial drivel.

    The crime is that Rory needed to explain about sticking to his roots. Over and over and over... . Some people in the music biz have a lot to answer for.
