I have the same model and been running it for two years. Mine too came damaged, the lathe compressor drive pulley was fractured, the supplied replaced the whole unit. Mine has had a hard life when used, running a sand blasting cabinet for up to 4 hours running non stop. I have added a secondary air receiver but that doesn’t keep up with demand either. Most of my tools are air powered so quite a bit of start stop there. I’ve changed the oil regularly and had no issues.
Did the original motor work? Ive took one apart off a clarke compressor to clean out it was simple inside and nicely made (from around 1989). i Is the compressor still running okay?.
Fantastic video. I just bought the same model (but with a different name!!!), and had similar issues as yourself. I had few instructions without any pictures, so when it talked about breather?? they were obviously assuming I knew what they mean't!!! Really glad I watched your video, really helped me understand mine. Looking forward to using it for spraying. Thanks

Hi, just got my compressor exactly the same as yours, mine came damage free but i did have a issue with the oil, i presumed the engine was empty of oil and thought the sight glass was a golden colour, i continued to putting in the oil as per booklet, and waited to see it on the sight glass, so eventually after putting in the correct amount and nothing changed on the sight glass i drained it out only to find it was already overfilled before i started putting my oil in, there was over well over a litre that i took out, and it was pretty black to be fair

Is this powerful enough for sand blasting have you tried it yet?? I'm assuming it's the same spec as the SGS 100? think I'll order one of those purely for the fact I can get one cheap.
I didn’t find it particularly good for sand blasting, it would be cycling most of the time until after a short while it would activate the thermal lockout.
It does kinda ok, have to let it have a little breather every few mins for it to catch it's breath or the pressure drops too much, and the thermal cutout will operate after a while as it would run almost continuously. for small stuff though it's OK
That compressor looks exactly the same as my SGS 90 litre compressor, must all come from the same factory. All of my SGS equipment has been working fine and was received less than 3 days later
@@jjdeville7884 Yeah its all alright, bought a blast cabinet like the ones in Andrew's videos, but the first and second ones have arrived bent to buggery, third time lucky I suppose
Were you home when it was delivered? you should of refused to take the damage carton and asked for a receipt for return to sender. It's their responsibility along with the courier they employ to have your goods delivered to you safely, undamaged in new condition as is written and complied with in the sale of goods agreement. Once accepted, you can have issues returning your item, as they'd state goods should not of been accepted if received delivered/damaged. Consumer Rights Act 2015 is very destinctive on the sale of goods and the expected requirements on goods sold and delivered, if the courier is responsible, this has to be taken up with the supplier who arranged the service of transport to your destination.
I didn't, as I think I explained in the video, when the eventually got around to delivering it I was away and my 78 year old father with dementia had to help the van driver off load it because he didn't have the right equipment.
Got to say shocking delivery. Anything like that, I just send it back and demand a refund. Guess you were gutted when the new motor arrived! Out of interest does this have a B3800 pump? I got my 50L belt drive from FPS ... excellent service, came with a hydraulic tail lift, and the cutest battery driven fork lift, so goods arrived in perfect nick and tilt and shock indicator badges. So you knew it had had no intransit tilts or shocks (great peace of mind).
thats the way it should be done. Mano Mano tried to deny any responsibility with the shipping. I pointed out to them they are liable for the actions of their subcontractors.

Yep, there's a fault there for sure. Take the cover off the electric box and just check if any wires are loose. If not then it has to go back.

That's really interesting, you would have thought they would ship it empty. Maybe that's why my head gasket blew.
