very neat, I thought of doing this for my Ratte too, but most of the time , my ratte would have broken to many pieces for storage
I have a 2021 Armortek Tiger I Late kit I picked up a few months ago. Still working on putting it together 😢
@@fshoutowtr it is quite a mission!
Nice to see another Armortek model here on the island Andrew. Might be the stimulus I need to get back at mine 👍
@@kevinhunter1103 be good to get a little tank group going. I think there are 4 that I know of
@@546268might be fun. I had no idea, other than my own
i really don't trust armortek with my money but i do wish i had one of these.
Now that is cool! Great looking tank and a great idea for storing it. 2 THUMBS UP!
looking good in its new home
Nice tiger you have 🎉
Anyone know how to remove the cylinder to replace the base gasket?
I bought a 1984 ford pickup in 1994 and it sets outside rain or snow. The front chrome bumper still does not show any signs of rust except for some rust on the back side where it was never chromed.
@@WL-mt4mv modern chrome is definitely not as good as the stuff. You’re lucky if you get 2 years out of it.
Nice work. Where did you get your sun visors from? Cheers...
@@Blondejam made them from some Perspex off eBay. Helps that 70s vibe!
@@546268 Very nice work mate indeed! Not sure I have those skills as woodwork and metalwork did not go too well for me in skool lololol. Keep up the good work, your car looks fine. Hoping to get my 72 on the road soon Cheers!
@@Blondejam I was told I was not one of natures craftsmen! Now though I regularly make stuff out of wood. It’s just about finding a way round your shortcomings. For example I just cannot saw in a straight line, so I use a circular saw running along a straight edge.
Thankyou just you just change my mind
Tiger 1 ausf E is better then tiger H1
Beautiful tank though i don't understand people building them then selling on, break my heart😂
For some it’s all about the build
Enjoy! Not many folks have the advantage of having a whole build video series on their purchase.
Interesting. Birds in England have an English accent. 🤔
😂
Hi Andy - I had three - Russian T34, Tiger like yours and a King Tiger - did this as a hobby for about 5 years athe quite - and moved on to RC Aircraft.. enjoy it.... great fun in working on battle damage & Camo etc... Load of 1/6 scale items avaialbe to purchase or make... Enjoy
RC aircraft is too scary!!
Andy, nice model! You are very fortunate to have one! Enjoy!
you will get many years of enjoyment from that tank . i have had one since 2012 . bought new and assembled by me . i did some what of a build post on Armortek's forum . transporting them can be quite the logistics problem !
That´s a beast of an RC tank. I´ve seen friends Armortek Tigers and they are absolutly massive. Drive safe.
Now that is very cool and quite large.
Very cool, how much does it weigh?!
About 130kg
@@546268 Frigging hell!
Hi Andy, great to see the Tiger eventually get safely home. Great video mate and thank you for the positive shout out mate, much appreciated and glad to hear and see that you're happy with your new toy. That gravel and shingle will play havoc with the tracks, but glad you managed to replace the damaged link. It was great to have met you mate and hope you continue to enjoy. Catch up soon.
The four rectangular shims are the spring valves which open and close with the cylinder/piston stroke.
You might want to google the name of the company founder. I'll just say that it stung a bit when you mentioned that he ran the company with his daughter. Anyway, I hope you had some extra Quick-Glo on hand, because the company is out of business.
Interesting, can’t remember his name but that info came from his website
@@546268 I'm not contesting his name. Search for his name and see what became of him and the company.
I did after your comment, that’s shocking😢

Hi, I was just about to buy the Dakota2 150 liter model. Priced at £560, but I'm glad I found this video. I have read a lot about these models with the same engine and there is always the same problem, head gasket. For example, ABAC has the same problem in the same engine. And they also warn not to buy it because after a year the ABAC PRO A39B 150FM3 model has the same problem. And this is true because I had this compressor and returned it. My old clarke compressor was almost 30 years old and worked without any problems, and somehow the head gasket is still good today. It seems to me that all these compressors from this series with these twin engines are one big crap, just look at their construction, they all look almost the same. I don't know where in England you can buy a good quality compressor and is it even possible? Regards and thank you for the warning.
Why don’t the diffs lock?!
I haven’t got the motion pack yet
Can not help but think way to much locking compound used. In models of this size and weight very little is needed

Did the original motor work? Ive took one apart off a clarke compressor to clean out it was simple inside and nicely made (from around 1989). i Is the compressor still running okay?.

Andrew I am building the Land Rover like and I now have both axles completed. I decided to install the motion at the same time to get more stability on the axles. Next task for me will be to look at fixing them to the frame but I will wait a bit to see how you do it! Keep going!
Cool, I’m painting the axles, chassis and associated bits now, then once that’s done illl get into fixing them together!
@@546268 what colour are you going to paint the axles and frame?
@@rmitchell6852 I asked in the series 1 group and was told the chassis should be body colour, axles black
where did you buy the kit? I need the exact same one. Thank you
I got it from the same supplier as the compressor. Sgs sell a compressor that looks very similar, they may be able to help.
GT Air in Milton Keynes sell a make almost identical to Wolf. They do spares and repairs.

Well Done, good save. I have a whole room set aside for my tank build but still end up working in a space smaller than an A3 cutting mat!

Thanks for posting, mine is still in the box about a year on now, this may inspire me to get building
