Thanks for doing this quick review, not much out there on the app! Only one person can be associated with a VIN, so your login credentials have to be shared with other drivers if more than one want to use the app. The app takes about a minute to connect to the vehicle and update itself so be patient when opening it. I get errors most of the time when I tap Find My Car. Some wishes: display current charging draw in Amps; display how many kW are being used to warm or cool the battery when charging; a battery conservation option that stops charging at 60 or 80%.
Tip for anyone needing help with the app: reply to any of your Mitsubishi Connect email notifications from Aeris, and there is a knowledgeable support guy there waiting to answer your question usually within 24 hrs
love your updates and appreciate it. May i ask one request as i am deciding to buy one GT model. if possible, can you do a video on how well the traffic signs reader works in telling driver the speed limit of the road one is driving especially on HUD, on city road when one turns off from a road with speed limit into one that doesn't and also on long highways. thanks in advance.
Thanks for this. Will it let you remotely turn on the heated steering wheel and seats? I'm going for my 2nd test drive today and will be making a final decision within the next week or two!
No.. Only the cabin fan, that's it. But what I've found is that the airflow is quite strong and warms up the steering wheel :) So you kind of have a feeling that it's heated up.
Great info. I understand you get a free 2 years free Mitsubishi Connect membership with your vehicle purchase. What happens after 2 years? Can you still use the app to remote pre-condition the vehicle etc or do you need an active membership? How much does it cost per year? Thanks
Agree ... with a $60k price tag, you would think the app should be free for the owner over the time they own the vehicle. Also, you don’t need the app to find the vehicle etc as Maps does that for you already. All I would like is to be able to pre-condition the vehicle using the app. I guess the alternative is to schedule the pre-condition times directly from the car when it is plugged in at your house and not require the app.
App functions started off strong, was very excited with what i can do with . Just recently i cant anything to get going , says my car is " offline" and cant connect. Pretty frustrating
How secure is the app? I've read that it can be hacked? Has Mitsubishi fixed the security issue from previous versions? Having said that, I am assuming it's the owner's choice whether to join the service or not?
It looks like this app can only be used temporarily for a year or 2 and then one will have to pay a lot of money for subscription in order to be able to use it. The subscription will cover more things like SOS function and some other, but in general if one is not interested in those extra services and just want to use the app like you showed to see the battery charge level or change the charging/climate schedules, then one would still have to buy those expensive subscription packages. Do you know if there is some special version of subscription which will be free and which would give access to these basic features or one would still be forced to get the full package. The previous model had all these basic features in the app for free so it is kind of sad that this is not the case anymore with the new model. Moreover, it looks like the app only connects through the cellular network which could be a problem in case you want to use it when you are standing next to the car but do not have any cellular connection. Can you confirm that this is the case, e.g. that it only uses cellular connection? Some owners really want to have some quick way to start the preheat session of the car, but if the app cannot connect to the car via cellular network, then there is no other options how to do this without the app. Some even want to have a separate button on the car remote key for this functionality, because it could be really useful.
Dear Mr. Mitsubishi Please help me to figure out a couple of things. I had MMC Outlander PHEV 2019 for three years and enjoyed a couple of functions - 'save battery' and 'charge'. I used them for my long trips to Vancouver (I am from Victoria). All was good. I knew how to drive 50 km on gas only to keep the battery to stay with climate control on a ferry. I was happy 42nd customer in BC who bought PHEV 2023 SEL 🙂 But I didn't find a convenient option for how to ride 100 km on gas only and how to charge the battery when I am on a highway. Could you please help me with that Thank you
Thanks for your feedback! The Charge and Save functionality is the same on the new one as it was on the old one.. There really aren’t any new tricks.. (except the Innovative pedal)
@@mr.mitsubishi Thanks. So it looks like when I set the wheel to the Power mode I can drive on gas only, but in reality, it still eats my battery a bit. But as for the charging - I didn't find an option for how can I charge the battery when I am on the highway. Before it was just a button 'Charge' but as for now?
Is it possible to remotely start the engine of the car for those days its too cold to use climate control in EV? I've heard its not possible... would be a shame if you have to go into you car to preheat it everytime its -15 or colder outside...
No you cannot start the car using the app. Nor can you turn on the defrosters. The climate control isn’t good enough to deice the car unfortunately when I tried
The app costs what it is worth. Nothing. It functioned for about three weeks and then stopped allowing a login. It kept saying the wrong password when it was not and, repeated attempts to log in after a change/refresh were also rejected. It was deleted and reloaded. ( 4 times ) Still refused passwords even after it said: "password updated". A new account was attempted but, once the VIN is registered, you cannot use a different email address. It only allows for one person so, you have to allow others access to your login information which, I suppose, is moot as the program doesn't work anyway. And eventually they are going to expect me to pay a subscription for something free on other manufacturers keyfobs? I don't think so. Love the PHEV. Hate the software.
The app works really well on my 24 PHEV demo. Maybe try deleting the app and reinstalling. Maybe that will help also see if your phone maybe needs an update - all those things can play a role and how the experience functions
Woth @drzoidberg1 the fact only one person can be associated with a VIN is a gap. From a security best practice (and having email alerts go to both drivers) Have found the app ok / things like the day mileage tracker driven by seem time shifted to a weird zone. The intermittent issues I have experienced as well which are frustrating and something that needs to be resolved.

Yes, I can make a video like this :)
Very helpful. I’ll try this once I get mine. Of course I live in the U.S. so things might be a little different.
Yeah, not sure if the functionality is identical in US and Canada. You’ll love yours! :)

@vap57 - no on the heated seats and steering wheel remotely
Just cabin temperature, lock / unlock doors, flash headlights

300$ Canadian per year , way too expensive in my opinion

Unable to get the option to remote start the vehicle. Would you be able to share a video that helps with that on a 2023 outlander phev
Does the GTP gas model has this option?
Can you use 2 different phones on one car
I’m here in Japan can I use English version can’t read kanji 😢
Someone told me after -5 Celsius is impossible to pre heat the car whit the app ...?

They had a recent glitch but company is working to resolve it. Shouldn't be too long!
Thanks, does the ES comes with this app?
No, base model doesn’t support the app
No..

@@eugenepo7969 Yes, Charge is an option when you press the EV button, along with Save, Normal, EV.
@@drzoidberg1 Thanks!!! I found it! Thank you!!!
Mr. M. another informative video. I love this app, I use it to monitor my charging
Can the climate control function on board work without the app?
There is no other way to start it remotely other than through the app.

You start the climate control only by using your EV
what does the subscription cost? You skipped right over the credit card input step!!!
I covered it in the follow video: th-cam.com/video/NKpqD4-x4OM/w-d-xo.html
Is this free or you have to pay ???
Love the ford lightning shining in the background!
Great eye! :) It's lovely, 100%!
great app unfortunately for puerto rico it cannot be used
Yeah.. it’s regional restrictions.. hope this changes soon!
For me, to start climate control the car needs to be locked first through the app. Once the climate control is on you can unlock the car.
Not paying for an app! After the first two free years the cost is $99/ year
Yeah, it would be nice if this would be free.
Wireless Android Auto or bust
:)
Not that good, sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't
It has some issues.. But overall quite positive feedback from clients.
Unfortunately the remote climate control doesn’t work when it’s colder than -15c(5f), rather useless in the colder climates!,
Weird..
