    Thanks for showing us how to do this because my dealership wants to charge me 300$ for the install plus 40$ for the bulb.

      Yikes! That is crazy! It is a little fiddly, but not too bad if you take your time. Some have also suggested pulling off the wheel and going through the wheel well, but I have never looked into that. Good luck!

    I used a Craftsman 3 Ton Hydraulic Floor Jack I bought about 25 years ago for working on my cars.
    You can use the tire jack from the well, but make sure to also use 3 Ton supports to provide secure safety in case the Jack falls.
    You cannot do this without lifting up the car because it has a bracket in the front of the Limited Edition ones that is underneath the shroud cover.
    Otherwise my head will not fit and my nose is smashed trying to see. With it jacked up I can easily see and work on it.
    OMG there were like 20 bolts holding the shroud cover on!

    i always twist and pop the bulb out and then disconnect these suckers. does that work for these bulb sockets as well?

    My boss has one of these and with dropping the plastic cover everytime you need to do an oil change or bulb replacement I recomended either leaving it off doing what I did for my Mazda! Cutting a hole for access to the oil filter and drain plug!

    So does your car have the ‘cornering function’ built into the fog lights?…..if so, wondering if it still worked after changing bulbs?

    • @DavinDesborough
      @DavinDesborough  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No it does not have that. They just stay on all the time on my Tucson.

    Are you using replacement low beam bulbs aswell? Seems they are more white.

    • @DavinDesborough
      @DavinDesborough  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. Those are the factory high intensity discharge (HID) lights.

    How long did it take you to do both sides? Is it easier through the wheel wells or underneath?

    • @DavinDesborough
      @DavinDesborough  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I hadn't been trying to film, it probably would have taken 30-45 minutes. Some other folks have suggested going through the wheel wells and that is something I would look into. I have not had to change lights again, so I have not tried that myself.

    Did you try to get to the bulb socket threw the wheel well plastic instead of taking the whole bottom shield off ?

    • @DavinDesborough
      @DavinDesborough  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. I do want to look at that if I ever need to do it again. It might be more direct. If I ever do it and find it is better, I'll post an update.

    When the fog lamp bulb is died, is there a warning on the dashboard? What wattage do you use on the led bulb?

    • @DavinDesborough
      @DavinDesborough  ปีที่แล้ว

      No warning light, I just noticed it was out. The bulb I used amzn.to/36Fp2N7 (affiliate link)

      Man, your comment was a life saver. I was gonna go and change my fog light to LED, and I wasn't sure if there was gonna be an error if the wattage was too low. I was gonna go out there and unplug my foglight just to see if there would be an error, but you answered my question

  • @danswaney4134
    @danswaney4134 ปีที่แล้ว

    I recommend you put the new bulb in first before putting the clip back on.
    Also, you can remove the chained cable from the plug on the other side of the little white cone.
    The bulb is on the outer side of the white cone. Do not turn and remove the inner plug or you will see just wires and not a bulb.

    Will these cause error codes on dashboard due to no resistors? Thanks

      I have had no issues. Still running those same LEDs 2.5 years later.

    So you must have a yellow halogen light bulb for sale. I prefer the more romantic softer tone lights. How much for the light bulb?

      No, it looks like you need an 880 style like this: amzn.to/3qwNIm2 (affiliate link). Just go to any site that sells parts (Amazon included) and enter the details of your vehicle to filter only the parts that fit your car.

    It's easier to replace the fog lights through the front wheel by removing the fender cover.
