Harder moves should not be attempted until you master your ‘Basics’ in Toprock, Footwork & Freezes.     1. Get your heart rate up: Always take your time to warm up your entire body.
    2. Mobilize your joints and muscles transitioning into a light stretch
    3. Optional but recommended mild conditioning of the muscles surrounding the Wrists, Shoulders, Knee, Ankles, and most importantly, Core.

    I tried this workout yesterday at practice but I did two reps only. I felt I could do more of the footwork stuff, but those leg circles at the end were really difficult for me, I'd never done those before :D

    Excellent tutorials, AJ! I love incorporating these into my training. Would you make a video about the exercises that you use to strengthen and progress into a Chair freeze, please? I'd love to learn your method for it. I appreciate what you're doing for the community here. Peace!

    I'm on ankle injury can't put too much pressure on it so I though it would be better to substitute ground work with more freeze drills. Great content as usual thank you for helping us stay in shape for breaking

    Thanks AJ terrific as always. At 40 have decided to start learning the basics after always having an interest in breaking since my junior school years (35 years ago). Finding it a bit tricky to co-ordinate my footwork after years of dance having used and got stuck with a couple of different styles and music genres. Could you please do a slow mo step by step top rock video. Also how often would you suggest strength and conditioning training? Thanks again.

      That's ok, it is quite a challenge, even for me. There is an easier version displayed just above it which is a great prerequisite before progressing to the diving version. Perhaps I should make a tutorial breakdown on how to train those kind of movements? 🤔
