Yes, I love the ET5. It has the right dimensions. I like the extra space in the second row. After all, most people in Europe get taller than 1.90m or more. The big question is how can you charge, is NIO going to offer free charging like Tesla did with the 2014 Tesla Model S (and which I still enjoy) to push the car to consumers. If so I will seriously consider a purchase.
We travel up to 800km every time we go on a little bit longer travel/holiday here in norway, and I think that its pretty nice, you can choose yourself what battery package you want so why buy 150kWh if you dont need it
Not unique: if you have family on some distance, in my case 700km I would need the 150Kw especially in winter-time 🙂 Yes I could charge in between but wouldn't have to. Currently my diesel car doesn't force to refuel too...
@@mlohr1 yeah but those conditions are smaller compared to the 70/100kw .. it was also said by NIO. Still a great battery pack ofcourse. And yeah if you need daily travel to your family over great distance, then the costs for 150kw makes sense
@@fransjoleihitu I wouldnt want to own the battery but rent it with BaaS, so when you need more rage you can swap to a bigger battery only when you need it....
150 kWh battery makes a lot of sense for someone living for example in Germany and wanting to cover long distances at high speeds, or in cold weather. The max range, 1000 km or so, is only an indication of a battery's capabilities.
The et7 seats do not fold due to the massage hardware in the seat. The et5 has fake massage so those seats do fold flat. The el7 also fake rear seat massage so those seats fold mostly flat. Not totally though due to the recline hardware in the seat.
I was doing Toronto to Chicago while in university... Stopped for bio break not fuel ... But if you have a battery car that can't do 800 kms then you're stopping and waiting 1 to 2 hrs to charge ... That's where battery powered cars is not ment for long drives. Hence this extended 800 kms range is good ... It can get you back from long distance without charging.
14:54 Wrong. Any new technology or product (the NEW way), must offer a better price/performance ration to the OLD way. And that means all EVs need to start at £15K and offer 500 miles (800Km) range, as you can get with a used VW Polo etc. The microwave oven is 10 time less to buy and 10 times as fast as a hot, back breaking, hard to clean oven. Some people don't want the hassle of charging on a long journey, and further, with 500 miles range, you will be freeing up chargers for the needEVy. Anyway, NIO, like other forthcoming innovative Chinese EV makers are about to shake things up. The wealthy young who have never driven a BMW, Honda or Toyota will bite.
The ES8 is a first gen car for NIO. It was released about 5 years ago and it is now time for it to start being phased out. Of course, they are going to release their new generation of products for EU expansion.
😂you’re funny. Price wise it is so expensive. 6000 euro more than Tesla , while you have to pay another 168 euro per month to lease a battery. As a Chinese living in Europe I like it, but rational tells me I’ll chose model Y.
NIO are making very good looking cars!! They also have the most advanced tech that i've seen - wow!! Go NIO!!!!
my opinion, it looks more beaufiful design than Tesla. 👍👍
By far!
ET5 IS INCREDIBLE
I'm a nio et7 owner a few days ago. love it!☺
Great video! Excellent visual quality!
NIO is definitely leader of EV auto industry now in whole world.
Amazing cars!👍
Love it, bring it to the Uk pls
They should put out the yellow color ET5, it is stunning^^
the design is really cool

A male is around 180 cm in average in Europe. There's no country on earth where the average height would be over 190 cm...
WTF taller than 1.90m on average? Whats in your dring hahaah
When will Nio et5, et7 be available for test drive at dealers in Germany?
Thanks?
NIO is not just a car company. Its a lifestyle brand
My favourite car NIO.
much more attractive than the generic looking tesla models.
I am getting my ET5 very soon.
Congrats, China right?
Lucky guy
@@mlohr1 he's in Vietnam, and he lied, NIO no sell in VN
ET5 IS GORGEOUS 😍😍😍
I'm patiently waiting in the US
Like Huawei, NIO cars will spy on you Americans and steal your secrets.
Same ;;-;; Will US even import it?
US is a loser country.
don't think they have the balls to launch it in the US... it's a suicide move.. they would learn their lesson from ZTE, huawei and tiktok..

Good for NIO to focus only on the lidar models.
18:03 no. It's the Neo IP9.
Closer, but It's EP9 actually.😊
@@rongzheng2902 right. I was wrong. But surely it is not EP7 😆
From the rear best view similar to aßton Martin! Price ? Any idea
ET5 starts at about 35k USD here in China
The 150kw is more for unique scenario. For example your vacation battery. And yeah not daily use.

150kwh pack is good for deep winter.. here in norway we have -10 to -20 and 150kwh pack on longer trips will be worth it.
I love NIO
Dont know the drag of the et5 but the 7 is actually .208 not .24

very sad that Nio is not in the US. I have a nissan ariya on order but I'd rather have a nio es7
your country don't like competition, especially from China. 😅
@@edwardtang1977 I'm an American and this is true. The stupid U.S government will make up bogus excuse that NIO maybe a threat to national security.
I use over 1000 km in one drive 3 times a year 😁
Me too, well not 1.000+ but 700km driving from my parents in Holland to my home in Germany. Do that easily in one go without charging please.....
Even without a pee?
@@ElectricOnWheels Don't drink while driving 😀
Now i can hear your (c) the guy with the blue hair ;)) Great video :)
😅
LINCOLN SATURN !
What are the costs of their most affordable model???
@Lori G no seriously 😑
Dont know, but the ET5 start at 500000 NOK in Norway.
People in North America do drive 800 kms in 1 go
Here in Europe as well! The interviewer is from Holland a very tiny country, so to get cross country you only need 350 - 400 km tops
Yes I am, but I still cannot believe anyone can do 800 km without a stretching of the legs or a pee/food brake.

NIO ES8 is not there becuase it has the OLD LOOK. GERMAN would have LAUGHED at that model! It's not very attractive!

Nope never. Good product doesnt mean a successful product & when it comes to automobile industry that's even More true
