Beautiful scenery, enjoyable ride and just shows the difference between American and British roads, as ours are narrower, hence more traffic jams. Cheers Mike keep safe .
Finally another video, I’m glad I can watch your travels again and listen to you talk! I live in a village in the Harz Mountains of Germany, but I always dreamed of living in the USA! Having a nice big property in the woods with a log cabin on it and a nice old 4x4 truck is what I wanted since I was a small boy. Unfortunately Germany is to small for such a lifestyle, so I still have the dream to at least live a few months in the USA on such a property.
Holy crap I was under the impression that the mountains had a bunch of snow. It doesn't look like it here, can't trust the media. Thank you for the video.
Love riding along on some of the most scenic rides while sipping my morning coffee. Makes my day, really, because I love to travel and listening to the commentary, nice. Safe travels.
First time I went down Vail, I was loaded at 79,900. Talk about a learning experience, but it taught me well, never had an issue on any declines I ever encountered again. Some dicey slick areas, but that was about it. Stay safe, and keep the greasy side down, and the shiny side up. ❤️🇺🇸 Try experiencing a speed wobble on 2 wheels.... HOLY SH&T!!! Common sense should tell you that you can’t pull over next to the jersey wall, you’re asking for a hell of an accident. JMO from experience. Full strength winter, diluted summer for the windshield fluid. Another trick in winter is put a light coat of WD40 on your wipers, and it helps keep snow and ice from building up on your wipers. Also a bottle of rubbing alcohol will really melt the ice, and snow. Just mix it with your washer fluid. Also, another trick I learned, put your heat directed at the floor just so you’re comfortable, and open your sleeper vents, and crack your windows, you’ll be amazed how well it works keeping the build up off your wipers. I hated that brine mixture they sprayed from tankers. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and your subscribers. Fly fishermen are anally retentive anywhere you go. I just ignore them and tell them I’ll go get my bear to help me fish... the looks are priceless. The canyon was always the best part of the trip because of the beautiful colors in the walls of the canyon.
Cool. Another vid to enjoy, love 'em. Gorgeous scenery, and for once it's colder in England at the moment, getting down to 21F which is way too cold for us. Ha.
@just be Ha. Fair comment. I'm so used to the mad cold temperatures on the videos at this time of year. We get down to 20 something degrees in England and moan like mad. Mike describes it as 20 balmy degrees. Classic:) I absolutely love the videos. Driving along scenic I70 brings back lots of happy memories of driving around America on holiday. Such a wonderful country and lovely people.
Thanks for the ride down memory lane, Mike. I'm probably showing my age, but I can remember when there was nothing but a sawmill from the west side of Vail Pass to Edwards Store.
I love Lake Dillion!! I was just there last spring on my way to Utah! Beautiful drive. Please keep the videos coming , I love watching them! Take care.
Hello Mike, Enjoy watching your videos and because of them, have taken a few of the highways when traveling from Maine to California!! This past summer, I remembered to stay in the far left on the highway thru Vegas!! Saw Wolf Creek pass (beautiful) and traveling thru Eisenhower Tunnel!! Have taken other routes in Colorado also!! Thanks for bringing us along!! Stay safe in your travels!!
Mike, we were on that highway headed back to Denver that same day to fly home! Such a nice drive, heck, to get out and see that scenery is always a nice drive! There were a LOT of Hwy Patrol out & most people kept speeding .
I stayed off the Dillon exit two days ago. I was coming the opposite direction but I had to get off the road because it was snowing and people drive crazy in Colorado
Hey Mike my Jeep jk had the same death whopp in the front end. I had to take it to a 4x4 shop and in my case it was the ball joints that was causes the death whopp. Nice seeing your videos again..
Merry Christmas to You and the Family... Have a Healthy New Years.... keep it between the Mustard and Mayo young man... Enjoy.. life is to be enjoyed, NOT endured.
So glad to hear from you Mr. Mike. When they said I-70 was getting the first snowfall of the fall, I was hoping to see a new video from you. I just watched the Armageddon video series the other day, while I was in rehab for broken bones. I was saying that it was your time of the year, and hopefully you would start posting again. Sure have missed riding shotgun with you Til the next time, be careful, and take care. Peace!
I have a very lifted Comanche and the way I solved was by going negative caster. The lower control arms have 2 bolt in the rear that hold shims. Pull 'em out. Done deal. But I also do a lot of 4 wheelin' as in lots of boulders.
Always enjoy your videos, they are genuinely clear, and focused, which makes all the difference, Watching the countryside’s roll by, I often wondered what the very early European settlers thought of it ?, “when would these hills and mountains give way to more open land” ?.
I thought the cop passed you a ways back when you were talking about a subject I forgot what topic! Fly fishermen need more room don’t they? Thanks for throwing them back! Give them a sporting chanceMountain Man Mike!😀🇺🇸
Happy to see you’re filming your travels again. The Mrs. and I watched all of your videos for reference on driiving a semi. We ordered a 2022 VNL 860 March of 2021 and took delivery of it July of 2022. It is our private rv not for hire that we use to pull our 40’ 5th wheel. Question we have for this video is what were your transmission and jake settings for the descent portion of this video? Thanks again for your new video … looking forward to the continued journey! Thanks Mike.
Mike on those videos where the audio was off maybe you could do a voice over. I’d love to hear about where you are more often. Merry Christmas. Love your videos.
I know that mountain well , in 1996 we took a new mustang to go skiing? When the limited slip rear ended decided To spin us across the interstate, I had traffic backed up for miles while I was putting on chains
Hi Mike great video as always. If you see this I just wanted to ad something about your Jeep shake. Im not familiar with Jeep does it have a solid front axle with 4x4 hubs for steering? one thing often over looked is there is a top and bottom tapered bearing king pin setup the bearing rollers wear a groove into the bearing cups and cause play which is difficult to detect until all other parts have been exchanged. Even if the steering alignment is perfect you will still get the shakes. Erratic head scratching and despair often rears its ugly head before king pin bearing wear is considered.
Great video. I also watch those Arkansas State Police cab view of police chases, and yeah, I wonder about when they chase a suspect through a construction zone, because the fines are usually double or triple.
I've seen more of our country by watching your videos than I've driven myself. Did my eyes deceive me, or was that Mount St. Helens at your 2 O'Clock? Sure looked like it to me around 2 minutes and 53 seconds on the video? Merry Christmas, RS.
I was raised in the Midwestern states Illinois, Indiana, and drove trucks and busses in the late 60s and 70s, I guess out here in the western USA they call driving down hill-easy mexican overdrive, and in the Midwest and easternmost states we called driving down-hill-easy a Georgia overdrive. I know all about it.
At 1:58, your comment, "When I drive I look as far ahead as I can". Really? Do you mean to say I am not the only driver who does this??? This is not something I was taught (or I don't think it was). It is just a habit I acquired as a form of a logical aid to self-preservation - part of "See and Be Seen", well, the first part of it, at any rate. As far as I am concerned, it is vital to see as far ahead as the road and conditions permit. Not to do that is asking for disaster in the form of crashes and possibly an early death.
Beautiful scenery, enjoyable ride and just shows the difference between American and British roads, as ours are narrower, hence more traffic jams. Cheers Mike keep safe .
I agree with you I like to see the American scenery. I am used to the green rolling south downs.
Do you watch Ned Kelly’s videos ?
We fought a whole war to have these redcoat free, wider roads.
Your videos are so relaxing with the pretty scenery. Thanks again.
Finally another video, I’m glad I can watch your travels again and listen to you talk!

Oh and I especially love your rides in the snow, it feels so comfortable watching them!
I'm so glad I moved to Colorado, I can't wait to explore some of these passes and highways
Holy crap I was under the impression that the mountains had a bunch of snow. It doesn't look like it here, can't trust the media. Thank you for the video.
This video is before the storm moved in 😂
You're right. The media makes its sound like hmtgeres always snow .....
Snow snow and more snow , heavy wet falling from tress hitting the roof keeping me awake

I know that mountain well , in 1996 we took a new mustang to go skiing? When the limited slip rear ended decided To spin us across the interstate, I had traffic backed up for miles while I was putting on chains

Been on this road a thousand times over 40 years

3:20 why did you get off at Silverthorne ? To jump ahead of the backed up traffic ?
That’s an impatient 4 wheeler move !
Doesn't spilled fuel comprise the integrity of the asphalt ?

22* Friday 24 of Feb. We are having a cold, cold freeze. Having trouble keeping warm.
Give the jeep the 3 inch lift with bigger tires! Now I want to see a picture of the Jeep 🚙
Mike, I suggest you replace the wheel bearings while you're at it. It was a bad one that was causing my jeep to wabble.
You always show great scenery, but we never get to see you??????
Must be a lot of crime on that stretch of road Mike no shortage of "troopers "aye stay safe mate cheers "RB" downunder
Osiyo. Enjoyed.

He drives for Quality Logistics out of Denver and usually hauls plbg supplies westbound

Well, I got a problem with the gravity thing of UFOs. There’s no gravity in space so I think that theory is wrong.

Greetings from Russia.
what do you think about the special military operation of Russia in Ukraine, what do you say about it in the United States!?
We say that the people of Russia have been brainwashed into thinking they have not started a WAR .
