Also I might add the EV is not something you buy to ride trails all day or go to the sand dunes you will not be happy when you battery is dead in a couple hours. This is a specialized machine best use would be hunting or doing work around small farms a few hundred acres in size or less. I can mess around most of the day on a single battery charge working around the farm short trips or checking feeders/trail cameras around my hunting spots. being able to hear everything around you is nice.
Big tires or lower tire pressure will lower the EV travel range. I have a 2013 EV its a great ride for hunting stealth and working around the farm but as stated in this video its not a replacement for a gas UTV. The 30HP AC motor is very strong I can climb hills that have you looking up at the sky no issue in "Low" mode so low end power is a non issue. Speed my GPS read around 30 MPH top speed. Range wise Off Road ATV trails around 20 miles. Overall its a great UTV love the stealth factor!
Ive owned Bad Boy Buggies and Stealths. I bought a 2014 EV Ranger and so far am loving it. Of course the FIRST thing that has to go is the stock turf tires. It wouldnt get out of its own way once the tires clogged with mud. A set of ITP Mudlites later this things an animal even in 2 wheel drive. Im still on the first 8-10 charges and as with all EVs the batteries dont reach full capacity for 30-45 charges but I have no issues driving 10-15 miles around my 246 acre farm turkey hunting. I dont think I ever put more than 15-25 miles on my buggies in a day anyway so this shouldnt become an issue. Ive got to mention that the Polaris independent suspension and 4 wheel brakes is leaps and bounds better than any of the golf cart based EVs Ive ever been around..
Great review for an awesome ATV !! Now you just need to do a tug war with the Polaris Ranger 400HO and we'll see if it is a "400HO beater" or not! ;-) ha ha !
I'd buy one if I had a farm I had to get around or something. Just cuz it'd be much easier getting in and out not having to turn on and off a loud engine every time

Looking back, was it worth it? Have you had to change the battery or any other major work required?

Cool electric vehicles can be licensed for street use in many states too. Now that is a big plus you overlooked.
The mid sizes haul 1250, it has a 500 box cap.
If it can spin big tires and doesn't need snorkeling it would be worth getting
