    I have the blue version of this watch and love it . It’s an amazing Orient diver. I did upgrade the bracelet to a Strapcode angus jubilee bracelet which takes to even a higher level. As far as the crown goes and the wobble it’s designed that way . I also own a Orient Mforce Bravo diver and the crown is exactly the same way .

      Thanks for the info, glad to know that is the way it was designed. Yes, I think with an ungraded bracelet, this watch is quite a package!

      Yes, Mark even did a video where he explained about crown wobbling but that does not change the fact that there is a lot reported fallen off crowns of Kamasu, Kanno and Triton.
      There is one conversation where one consumer ordered replacmet crown and stem from Orient after broken one on his watch and on new one there where upgraded length of the stem holder which suppose to lower the crown wobbling. I just ordered the new triton which you mentioned and hope it has upgraded crown.
      Sorry for mine not so good english and regards to all..
      Nice review

      Dealer advised he recently had 4 returned due to broken crowns. That is why they discontinued this model.

      Bro, it is very clear, Triton has same constraction as a M-Force divers. It means, the is 3 special rubbet, chock-absorb.Rings in the case inside, holding a Calibre. That is why Crown Head is wobbing. It is absltly normal. It is chock protected watch!
      In the past, I by the cause, dropped my Triton on concrete floor, 1.5m hight was.
      NOTHING HAPPENED WITH TRITON!

  • @1malikalik

    I own The Black version and am here to tell you this is my favorite sub $1000 Diver's watch.
    The Triton blows everything that SEIKO has to offer under $1000. This watch is beautiful and robust. SEIKO TURTLE, SKX, SUMO, MM200 reduced, SHOGUN come no where near this masterpiece. The only contender would be the MM300 and the TUNA 300M though the Orient Saturation Diver 300m would destroy them easily.
    I have a 6 and 3 Quarter inch wrist and it wears comfortably with Rubber Straps and Nato. QC is 100%.

    • @JustWatches1
      @JustWatches1  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Orient is underrated for sure. I really enjoyed my time with this one. I have also heard great things about the Saturation Diver 300.

  • @KRW628

    I've got my Neptune (blue face) on the wrist right now. That crown wobble is normal for this movement. Even the OSDs had the wobble. It doesn't affect the operation of the watch; in fact it reminds me to be careful rethreading the stem. Love this watch!

    • @JustWatches1
      @JustWatches1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great review, but just like anyone else you failed to mention that the bracelet is solid, better than any jubilee. you failed to mention or maybe didn't know that there is a very small tube insert on the link bars (if thats what you call it). when you remove them to adjust the link size, they will fall off without you noticing it thus you cannot hold the link firmly without that small tube insert. you have to put it back in before inserting the bar because it is the locking mechanism be very careful when you adjust/remove the links.

    • @JustWatches1
      @JustWatches1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for point this out. Yes, the bracelet is solid. I didn't resize it, but it sounds like it uses pin and collar system. Those are very tricky to do right. I actually have a video showing how to size those!

    I've had the Triton/Neptune since January 2020 and my biggest complaints are that when it's sitting in my watchbox it tends to run super fast and my rotating bezel doesn't align properly at 12. I agree with you that the power reserve indicator gives the watch a lot of character. I bought mine off Amazon for a total of $414 including tax and shipping; the list price was $300-something. This was my first true dive watch after getting into the hobby of watch collecting, and I chose this over Orient's other lineups because this is an actual certified diver and not a dive-style watch.

    • @JustWatches1
      @JustWatches1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m surprised it has alignment issues I haven’t seen those in Orient (very common with Seiko). True, this diver is the real deal with ISO certification. You said it runs fast in your box, does it keep better time on wrist?

    I had considered buying a Triton a few times over the past two years but the few negatives you mentioned here were a problem for me as well. I eventually bought a Mako USA2 on sale for $200 because the cost was more aligned with the value.
    It is disappointing to hear the Triton is discontinued. I may never know what I have missed.

      @JustWatches1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I could be wrong, but it doesn't look they make them anymore. The Mako USA2 for $200 is a really good deal! I was always tempted by the white dial version.

    I would love to get this watch, but as of 2024 they are rare as hens teeth, when they do come up for sale, looking shy of a grand (Australian dollars). I do own the M Force Beast, and crown wobble is notable on this as well.

    Enjoyed the vid 😊👍
    Love this watch 😻. I've been looking at one for quite some time but never pulled the trigger.
    However, another 'Tuber I follow is an authorized seller for ORIENT. When he posted a video that this line is officially discontinued; I went online afterwards & bought the exact model you are featuring before the price gouging could start; a'la Seiko SKX.
    The crown on mine is a bit wobbly as well but not a big deal. Just use common sense & don't manhandle the crown. The diver extension isn't important to me so I swapped out for a milled clasp.

    • @JustWatches1
      @JustWatches1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like you got one just in time. Yes, a few other people have reported back that the crown is designed that way and not to worry. Smart move with the upgraded clasp, this is the only thing the watch is really missing stock! Sad Orient isn't making this anymore.

  • @zhanatomarov3984
    @zhanatomarov3984 ปีที่แล้ว

    It,s is very clear, that wobbing of crown head, is design. There, as in M- force family, extra 3 chock absorb.rings. And calibre is susspended , inside the case. That is why it is wobbing bro. Very simple.
    2 years ego, I , by the cause, dropped my Triton on comcrete floor in trade center, 1.5m. Hight was. Notging! Nothing happened, my Triton running same , as before, -3 sek
    When on the whist and +2...4 sek when bezel up, night time. GREAT WATCH! AND NOW , SURE, I will buy this bicolor version as well.

    Great review. I really like how you organize your reviews, yet keep it fun and casual at the same time.
    I also own this watch in the same colorway. As with yours, I also have the same crown wobble, and find it a tad large for my same 6.75" wrist.
    However, I recently put mine on an UncleSeiko 22mm GL831 rubber strap in olive drab OD Green (i chose the short strap length option), and have been wearing the Neptune daily ever since.
    I highly recommend this strap. This rubber gives a nice contrast to the Neptune's black and gold case, and makes it appear smaller on my wrist (not to mention it makes the watch lighter in weight). It also feels much more comfortable, given the softness of the rubber.
    Keep up the great work! 👍

    Great review great looking Orient. I miss my Orient 300m Saturation Diver. I noticed this model with the gold trim around the bezel seems still be out there to pick up. My question for everyone and the reviewer is, how hard would it be to get my hands on the black stainless trim bezel they made that came on the model that it was sold on. Would it be possible to source one from japan or an aftermarket bezel? Thanks to everyone.

    I have a black one for two years and the stem broke in the sense that I cannot hand wind anymore. I send it in for repair and cost $300. Since I love this watch, I am going to do it; but the wobbling crown is an issue. My other watches with Miyota 9015 and Seiko NH35 have no problem at all.

    Did you go with the black/gold by choice or were the blue and black versions all gone? I just picked this one up because it's the only one still available. It's growing on me but I find the lum takes on a yellowish tone from the gold outline on the hands and indices - just too much gold and yellow going on. I'm still in the return window, so may return it and eventually pick up the Orient Star diver which is only $150 more. Sort of going back and forth, just really disappointed by the newly released Triton which is really just a Kamasu in a different case.
