Me: Got this project for work to do (Square eyed Jak Uploads a new video) Me: Screw the work (Spends the rest of the night watching Jak's newest video)
Loved the beginning and ending of the video. Your costume and featuring thatguycal just made the review so much better. Personally I think you were a bit harsh on the minigames, finale of the game and the final score as this is one of my favourite games of all time that I would definitely give an 8/10. But that's just opininial, and this review is just awesome and I can say the best I've seen from you since 2015. Keep up the great work mate.
Jak you fucking killed it! Having played through this and Sly 2 a bunch of times you have no idea how much seeing you and Cal do the fucking binocular conversations with each other made me smile! :D Great work!
You know, I was watching your Spyro the Dragon review yesterday and it's just amazing how much you've improved in quality, this is such a great video :D
I loved the skits and how it wasn't just a simple review I've been watching you for a year and been subbed and you have grown very much and editing skills! So good and originality!
This might be one of my favourite videos you've made and I got Angry Joe vibes in intro and ending for some reason. I love when reviewers do that kind of stuff and don't just talk in uninterested voice for 20 minutes or so. I did agree most part and it was nice to see you enjoying so much that game even thought you are adult. (I was like 6-8 when I started playing this game so it was much easier to start loving this series). Oh and yes Murray kinda sucks in this game but wait when you get introduced to THE Murray in Sly 2..;]
The sketch comedy type stuff at the beginning and end are hilarious, hope they stay. Keep up the quality reviews and looking forward to the other sly games ;)
The production of your videos is growing a lot! It's really great! The inclusion of vehicles or other game mechanics can annoy a lot when is not done properly, as in Crash 3 or The Wrath of Cortex. But sometimes it can be done well as in Rayman 2. This game series I just got to know last year, I would have liked to have it when I had a PS2.
Wow. Getting a full Sly Cooper cosplay and Life size cane to do a review on a series you never played before. That's some commitment right there. Also I'm really jealous of your cane.
Chapter 31 (Other chapters can be found on SEJ's previous videos) Jak took the Staff which rested on top of Elora's ashy remains, and gave chase to Ripto, but he was no where near fast enough to use the controller upon him. Ripto also had a staff, and was casting spells effortlessly as he ran. Turning bystanders into monsters, which Jak had to repeatedly pause or defeat, slowing him down. Finally, Jak gave in, and collapsed, exhausted in the middle of the road. He was so out of energy and struggling to breathe, that he didn't even notice a familiar tiny penguin waddle up to him, and snatch the controller out of his hands. "W...Shit... don't..." Jak panted, raising his staff. "It appears we are at an impasse my friend." Sargent Bird pointed out. "No doubt it would take me less time to push this button with my beak, than it would for you to wave your staff and destroy me.... but.... As you are not from the Dragon Realms, I don't feven know if this would work on you. So, what shall we do?" "Just.... gimme a.... sec...." Jak was too exhausted to make negotiations right now. But luckily, Sg Bird did it for him. "How about this." The penguin agent winked, "You have the most powerful Staff in all the land, so just wave it and concentrate, and it will take us back to the Dragon Realms. Do this, and I wont even attempt to use the controller." Jak was confused, "Why?" He asked. "I'm just as tired of trying to save this hopeless place as you are." The penguin answered, "I just want to go home and retire. And it would appear you would have more of a future in that world than in this one." Jak looked around at all the monsters and destruction everywhere; Sg Bird was right. It would be far easier for him to take over the Dragon World than the real one. "Ok. Deal." He said, and waved the staff.
I fucking love you man. Sometimes, well most of the times, we have very different opinions, but I recognize an artist when I see one, and man your videos are dope af. Keep up the outstanding work Jak! Cheers from Italy :D
Damn the amount of time you had to put in to create this video is something I can't even fathom, worth it though amazing video jak! Reminds me of the angry video game nerd.
Oh shiet, one of my favorite youtubers reviewing my favorie game series? (Kinda sensed it would happen sometime) I gladly give you one "Stone Cold" hell yeah to that, solid start to this review series and i love those skits too. Keep up the good work
Finally! I can always count on you to be brutally honest with your thoughts on things! My only worry is that you'll destroy my favorite of the series, the 3rd one, since you don't really like extra characters as evidenced by your review of Spyro 3, my favorite of that series. However I'm sure the videos will still be amazingly fun either way.
Great video, and to be honest, you pretty much mirrored my opinions on the game. Only difference is that I had stronger feelings about the Clockwork fight. But, at the end of the day, I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thought I was controlling Sly 13:08.
Did you make the cane and costume yourself? Because it looked nice. Also Sly Coopers one hit stuff bothered me to no end. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed its flaw with one tap of the cane kills.
Dude I absolutely loved the binocucom thing you did and all the outdoor scenes! Great job. Don't feel bad, I didn't end up playing the series until 2012. Hell I didn't even hear of the series til then, I never played Ratchet & Clank til 2015 also. That sly costume though, where did you get that? xD I love it honestly.
Holy damn! I knew you were going to cover these games but I didn't think it would be this soon. This was quite a delicious surprise in the notifications lol I do understand some of your criticisms with the game, especially with the gimmicks. I think the problem was that they wanted to try to appeal to as many people as they could with them but unfortunately, they didn't realize that certain gimmicks just aren't all that good. I mean, the gimmicks are... Doable I suppose but they're such a gamble and could potentially bring the game's awesomeness down a peg. But I'm glad you still mildly enjoyed the game despite not having ever playing it before. I feel it's a game every platform fan should try at least once in their life and I especially liked how you highlighted how awesome the early 2000s were for video games with so many different games being made and released to the public. It's something that is lacking with today's gaming unfortunately. Anyway, great review, I had a blast watching and I love the effort you put into your sketches haha.
Yeah, the vehicles were pretty horrendous I won't lie, especially the "racing", I think it's safe to say EVERYONE hated that mini game. It was disgusting lol. You know, maybe this would be a good topic for a Square Eyed Shorties video. Why not try sharing your opinion on what makes a good Platforming game?
Good old Sly. While Ratchet was always my favorite of the Jak/Ratchet/Sly trifecta, Sly always had a really cool vibe of his own. I especially love the vibe in this game. Out of all three (oh, sorry, four) games, this one always felt the most stylized or at least the most abrasive. I especially love the look of Mesa City (the designs, the colors, etc). If I could create something in that style, I'd be pretty satisfied.
The chicken mini game was my least favorite part of the whole game. I don't know how many attempts I had until I finally beat it but I was just glad mini games don't have the master thief sprints. Though I did have fun speedrunning the game and I enjoyed the making of Sly Cooper after beating all the Sprints.
"Don't get me started on the fucking name change" Here i'll fill you guys in. In the UK, Cooper is a euphemism. So they changed it to Sly Raccoon. Yeah I know it's retarded but I'm American so I don't make the rules nor do I have any say in this shit. I don't work at Sucker Punch
Gotta love the trophy list on ps vita. You get a trophy for pressing start, collecting one coin, collecting 50 coins, collecting, 100 coins, et cetera.... Got the platinum in one playthrough
Me: Got this project for work to do
(Square eyed Jak Uploads a new video)
Me: Screw the work
(Spends the rest of the night watching Jak's newest video)
That's the only way to succeed in life ;)
I'm surprised you are able to spend a night on just one 17 minute video.
i was exaggerating, but still
One of the best videos you've made! Keep 'em comin!
Cheers, will do! :D
Square Eyed Jak: This video is really F**king funny I'm giving it a like👍🏻
Your controller wasn't plugged in! That's why the "master reviewer" move didn't work!
Hi Cal
Hola.
ThatGuyCal hay is for horses
How could he plug it in on a FUCKING mountain?
Loved the beginning and ending of the video. Your costume and featuring thatguycal just made the review so much better. Personally I think you were a bit harsh on the minigames, finale of the game and the final score as this is one of my favourite games of all time that I would definitely give an 8/10. But that's just opininial, and this review is just awesome and I can say the best I've seen from you since 2015. Keep up the great work mate.
2004flippy yeah I wish he would do stuff like this every review
Jak you fucking killed it! Having played through this and Sly 2 a bunch of times you have no idea how much seeing you and Cal do the fucking binocular conversations with each other made me smile! :D Great work!
Cheers mate :D
I've been waiting for a Sly Coopers review! So happy to see you made one :). Great work Jak
Lol, I couldn't imagine the pain of having to empty out and re-organizing your gaming shelf. XD Great review and much respect.
You know, I was watching your Spyro the Dragon review yesterday and it's just amazing how much you've improved in quality, this is such a great video :D
Thanks :D
I admirer your commitment to a theme
I loved the skits and how it wasn't just a simple review I've been watching you for a year and been subbed and you have grown very much and editing skills! So good and originality!
Thanks dude, glad you like it :)
I surely can't be the only one who cracked up when he pulled that note out of the safe at the end.
I was actually thinking about you doing a Sly Cooper review last night, and I am not disappointed.
I like your reviews and the fact you throw in some skits and edits. Always makes me laugh
Thanks :)
The Sly Cooper HD collection was worth every penny
17:00 I couldn't stop laughing at that cutout of you. Don't ask why, cause I don't even know. XD
me too, I laughed so much I almost cried
that was pretty funny
Me too.
i should be reading for my exam tommorrow, however this is truly a great day to sit back and watch a review by square eyed jak.
you could say you STOLE my interest.
This might be one of my favourite videos you've made and I got Angry Joe vibes in intro and ending for some reason. Spyro I live yo profile picture.... that is the only rayman game I've ever played
Spyro like not live
Jak, you had me in stitches with the intro and outro for this. Its fucking fantastic
Cheers dude :D
Man I really need to play sly someday
GAPPY《X-RAGENATOR》 yeah I'm tempted by it too
Do it, it’s cheap to get the ps2 classics brand new even, online of course or go to a thrift store or pawn shop even a flea market/swap meet
I bet there will be comments about ratchet and clank jak be prepared
Ratchet
I haven't even seen anything but the beginning skits, but I already love this XD
Oh great now Murrays racing levels are giving me flashbacks to the crash wrath of cortex racing level...
WOW yes, how did I miss that comparison? o_0
We dont talk about the racing missions in Wrath... lol
Did you take inspiration from iDubbz for the first few mins lol?
YES actually xD
Wow. Getting a full Sly Cooper cosplay and Life size cane to do a review on a series you never played before. That's some commitment right there. Also I'm really jealous of your cane.
I actually made most of it myself, including the cane. Gonna have a video on it soon, glad you like it :)
I love these skits before the review! 17:00 = best moment!
dude the cutout was the best! now this is what I call quality content!
Goddamn the production quality on these videos is 11/10
Thanks :)

This is officially the best episode of Square Eyed Jak's
Cheers... you wouldn't happen to know any thieves who stole some games recently do you?
Finally! A Sly Cooper video review! I've been waiting for one of those from you for a long time! Thanks!
Your quality of content is just increasing! Keep it up man!
Cheers mate
Damn, you are really working hard on these videos Jak, keep it up man
Finally my childhood returns.
Man I waited so long for this review! :)
If video games have taught us one thing, is that sequels fix a lot of the problems the first game had.
Man it was only last year when I first played the Sly Cooper games.
thank you I fucking love sly copper you're awesome
Another fantastic video Jak, you've made my day with this upload!
He finally did it
I fucking love you man. Sometimes, well most of the times, we have very different opinions, but I recognize an artist when I see one, and man your videos are dope af. Keep up the outstanding work Jak! Cheers from Italy :D
Cheers dude, "Dope AF" is going on my tombstone ;)
You keep getting better and fucking better man.
Thanks :D
Very solid review, Jak. I still love the first Sly game so much. Glad you enjoyed it for the most part :D
hahahah dude this was an awesome production will share this around awesome work :)
I love the parody in the beginning. Sly cooper was one of my favorite series as a kid. Sly 2 is my favorite though
Great review. I can't wait to see you review the rest of the series. Your in for a great run of awesome games.
I really enjoyed the ending hope you do something like that more often Jak
Uhhh Jak, i’m pretty sure the game takes place at night because that’s when thieves operate the most...
Best review we have seen in a long time :) Great video Jak
I should record some vi...
Oh hey Square Eyed Jack video.
What was I gonna do again?
Damn the amount of time you had to put in to create this video is something I can't even fathom, worth it though amazing video jak! Reminds me of the angry video game nerd.
Thanks :)
That's because he is the new Angry Video Game Nerd
Oh shiet, one of my favorite youtubers reviewing my favorie game series? (Kinda sensed it would happen sometime)
I gladly give you one "Stone Cold" hell yeah to that, solid start to this review series
and i love those skits too.
Keep up the good work
"Nobody cares about your microscopic stick, mate."
I see what you did there! (:
Hype for the Sly 2 review!
i didnt play these games either until about a year ago. they are so good
This just made my day
Definitely one of your best videos! Next one will be quality
Cheers :)
Finally! I can always count on you to be brutally honest with your thoughts on things! My only worry is that you'll destroy my favorite of the series, the 3rd one, since you don't really like extra characters as evidenced by your review of Spyro 3, my favorite of that series.

that intro sketch was hilarious.
Thanks :)
I never thought I'd see the day you are a scholar son a true scholar
Great review man I love this series and I'm glad you were honest on your thoughts on it and glad your a, fan as well.
Nice! I can't wait to see you review the others!
I can't tell if the intro was recorded during or after you built the new shelf... Must've taken awhile to organize everything
another fantastic review jak
Great video, and to be honest, you pretty much mirrored my opinions on the game. Only difference is that I had stronger feelings about the Clockwork fight. But, at the end of the day, I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thought I was controlling Sly 13:08.
This is art.
FINALLY IV'E BEEN REQUESTING THIS FOR A YEAR NO JOKE!!!!!!!!
Did you make the cane and costume yourself? Because it looked nice. Also Sly Coopers one hit stuff bothered me to no end. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed its flaw with one tap of the cane kills.
we need the whole series
Dude I absolutely loved the binocucom thing you did and all the outdoor scenes! Great job. Don't feel bad, I didn't end up playing the series until 2012. Hell I didn't even hear of the series til then, I never played Ratchet & Clank til 2015 also. That sly costume though, where did you get that? xD I love it honestly.
Cheers mate, I made it actually :)
The costume seriously? Damn. Thats cool.
I have to study for a test that is worth 50% of my grade, so let me just launch Chrome and...
NOTIFICATION: Square Eyed Jak uploaded a new video!
Epic intro
3:28 so did he change his mind about XS?
well, i’m happy to see it get some recognition because it’s my favourite GBA game
YAY Jak is reviewing one of my favorite video game series !!!!!!! :D
Holy damn! I knew you were going to cover these games but I didn't think it would be this soon. Anyway, great review, I had a blast watching and I love the effort you put into your sketches haha.
Thanks dude. It was certainly a lot of fun but eh... fucking vehicle levels >:(
Yeah, the vehicles were pretty horrendous I won't lie, especially the "racing", I think it's safe to say EVERYONE hated that mini game. It was disgusting lol.
You know, maybe this would be a good topic for a Square Eyed Shorties video. Why not try sharing your opinion on what makes a good Platforming game?
I've got plans for discussion on Vehicle Levels for specifically, as there are few solid examples of it being done right.
Oh that's terrible lol
Good old Sly. While Ratchet was always my favorite of the Jak/Ratchet/Sly trifecta, Sly always had a really cool vibe of his own. I especially love the vibe in this game. As always great content, Jak, Would you be interested in doing more of the series?
Aye this video is one of yur best work yet I'm very satisfied with this video
"only fucking idiots can see them" "fuck you cal!" hahaha! had me dead
These boss fights always reminded me of the ones from Crash Bandicoot. Especially Sir Raleigh.
2:23 That's one of the best roasts I've heard in this week
Awesome I love the Sly series!
Man, for some reason I really love vehicle sections in platformers. Can someone tell me what are all those games at 9:31?
good review as always :D
I wonder how people feel about theme selves when they see you running around in kid game character costoms
Okay, here's a random question: Did you make the Sly Costume you were wearing?
Yes... video in the works ;)
Square Eyed Jak Cool. Also, nice video
Man this game was my childhood!!!
I was going to steal that sick collection. Damn raccoon beat me to it
YEAH! YOU FINALLY REVIEWED SLY! Thanks, Jak-o! Quality vid.
"Lets hope that sly makes it to the top of that list"
Melee: Reality is often disappointing
I'm so happy you trolled your fans by doing this before Ratchet and Clank :)
The chicken mini game was my least favorite part of the whole game. I don't know how many attempts I had until I finally beat it but I was just glad mini games don't have the master thief sprints. oh well. love the clockwork boss fight.
"Don't get me started on the fucking name change"

the frisking skit at the start is GREEAAT
Me and my brother appreciate ya.
Cheers!
you ve to review the hole series to get ur game's back lol funniest video yet Square eyed Jak
You said that the levels are in the night tim3 but it makes sense because thieves usually steal at night because at daytime more people will see them
Gotta love the trophy list on ps vita. You get a trophy for pressing start, collecting one coin, collecting 50 coins, collecting, 100 coins, et cetera.... Got the platinum in one playthrough
