Oh man I loved that intro, nicely edited Jak! As for the games, I never really cared to play licensed games outside of Pokemon so I never really paid attention the Simpsons, Futurama, Scooby Doo, or Family Guy games because they just felt... Odd to me though I do remember playing the classic Simpson beat 'em up game with my friends in the arcade but that's really as far as I went in terms of these kinds of games. Great review nonetheless and I can already tell it's going to be interesting to see you review the other Simpson games lol
Quality vid. Goddamn I wish Futurama got a worthy game. Seeing the ship fly around in the 3d shots from Game of Drones makes me want a GTA style game like Hit and Run
Cheers mate, it really is a shame. Back in the day when I first discovered TH-cam, I remember seeing this video of a Hit and Run style Futurama game but I didn't know at the time that it was a fake thing. Devastated!
Literally just finished watching this on Early Access! Very fitting considering I've been binge watching classic Simpsons episodes lately, though in my personal opinion it's downfall was LONG before the movie came out. Still, this was a great review, some of these games actually do look quite fun (apart from Tapped Out of course, F that) Also, we call pacifiers "dummies" here in England, too, you ain't alone there 😂
Damn I remember my friend had that first game on his phone back in the day. Nostalgia :D Anyways nice review as always Jak! Old mobile games need to be talked about
That intro though XD I played Tapped Out for quite a bit but it got kinda boring after a while, the only times I played this is when I felt like playing it and then when I get bored of it I uninstall it. Loved the video man and the intro cracked me up! :D (we call it a dummy too in Britain)
Great stuff! I actually am into Pokemon Go myself, and honestly, this game does have microtransactions like those building games, but unlike them, they are much more forgiving, as you can always farm for coins on Meowth and every Friday has a Meowth that gives tons of them. Keep up the good work, Jak! Me and my girlfriend love your work!
The great thing about Tapped Out is you can play the game completely free and still get hundreds of characters. Plus there are a lot of ways to get donuts now so it adds up very quickly. :)
I am convinced there was a produciton error with Hit and Run PS2 copies, mine literally broke as I was getting it out of the CD case for Christmas, that was a fun year
The Simpsons: Itchy & Scratchy Land. I remember playing that on my old cell phone, back when 3 was still active in Australia and was a separate entity from Vodafone. Even though I didn't like it that much, I miss it, as well as 3 and my old phone.
Good stuff! Haha! I played that Futurama game. I thought it was mediocre. As for Simpsons: Tapped Out, I'm pretty sure that one tapped out my nephew's granddad's Visa!
Imagine somewhat who doesnt pay for donuts and daily tasks weren't out and the only way to get donuts way to level up, and once you reach the level 40's, it takes months... that was me
Fuck yess itchy and scratchy episode in season 4 is the best !!! Great video as well man Edit: speaking of ea the Simpson's game was pretty good imo good memories playing it on ds and ps2
Nice video Jak! For your next review, you should do Pacman World 1, a game that sits along the Crash and Spyro games as my childhood favourites. Cheers!
A great start to another year on your channel mate. Crush this year, mate. Its your time to shine big. I like with your recent videos you've put so much time and effort into them. I have no experience in video making and all that but your work is fucking amazing man.
Honestly wish that they went back to making these games on consoles instead of mobile devices. We haven’t had a simpsons game on console since 2007 and that was the simpsons game which was actually a great enough game to get its own sequel. And then futurama, which you covered and never played because of its rarity but know enough about to know it’s not the best. Which is disappointing because the franchise does have a lot of potential to make good games based off the franchise.
EA has just announced that The Simpsons: Tapped Out will shut down in early 2025. (Edit: I forgot to mention, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow had shut down last year)
Didn't know there was that many Simpson mobile games, the first too still up to download? Or did you use an old phone that already had them?...also if that was Australia in your intro, it looks beautiful there man. Good vid as usual lol.
I remember when I friend had like top of the line samsung touch screen phone and I had this old nokia flip phone he installed the simpson fighting game on my flip phone and I spent like hours on hours playing it goold old times
It's even better the second time, bro. I have always been more of a Family Guy person, myself. But the Simpson's are cool. Did you ever see the Family Guy and Simpson's corssover episode. Season 13 episode 1 of Family Guy?
SpongeBob SquarePants is getting a remaster of it's best game after THQNordic reclaimed the rights to Nick Games, but the Simpsons as a majority these days is left in the dust of mediocrity with nothing but mobile games for over the past decade! The last console game we got with the Simpsons license, was The Simpsons Game in 2007, which was surprisingly an original game and not based on the movie, and was actually decent despite also having the jokes revolve around the "Video games are stupid" trope they are notorious for these days. Making fun of gaming tropes only works if you properly remedy what you make fun off, not copying all those tropes and making them worse! EA always seems to make that mistake in their Simpsons games!
so let me get this straight. That last game makes fun of "pay or wait" mobile games where you literally can't do anything without waiting or coughing up cash, and then LITERALLY turns into the exact game it's mocking?
Seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I really like Tapped Out! I’ve leveled up to the point where I have no more storylines or tasks to complete but I enjoy the holiday events each year and the random events that tie into past episodes/story arcs. Once you get leveled up enough there are several other ways to earn donuts other than daily tasks, and using all of those ways I’ve never spent a dime. EA is greedy as usual, but I think they did alright with this game.
I can certainly see the appeal and like I said, I have been playing it from time to time since working on this and I'm sure I will keep doing it. It's ok, just nothing special at the end of the day.
I really like the game too, ive spent no money on the game and im about Level 33, i love the humour, what level do you have to get to to complete all the storyline?
I wonder which one of you two is going to review the ratchet and clank games first. haha. good points about the simpsons games. Hit and run will always be a favourite to me.
You mean the same Caddy who's quality of game reviews has been slipping heavily for about two years now? I don't see why Jak shouldn't, especially when he's has been the better of the two for the same time that's Caddy's quality has been slipping.
I've been playing Simpsons Tapped Out for a couple of years now and I do have to disagree with the game being as a pay to win. As playing the game without making a single purchase, it didn't really threw me off since this game is free to play friendly in my opinion atleast. The donuts are good in the game but it doesn't really make you that godly since all it does is speed up stuff and build some cool buildings which every free to play players can do as well but it does ofcourse take some time. You might not like the game if you're impatient to say atleast but that's literally how the game is made for, I can consider this game as an AFK game on where you check it every certain times of the day.
you could look at Animation Throwdown for IOS and Andriod, ive been playing almost 2 years. its a combo of: Futurama, family guy, bobs burgers, american dad and king of the hill. amazing game. very time grindy tho, but as i said, years in and i still play it many hours and am in a top 50 guild. give it a try :D
Yeah, The Simpsons did go downhill badly. I mean if you watch ANY episode from last year, it tarnishes The Simpsons name. In my opinion it started to go downhill in the 2000s. Now if you watch an episode it’s just stomping the show into the ground. My favourite episode is the one where Homer has a new worker called Frank Grimes who has gone through hell for nothing while Homer sits on his ass at work and gets everything he could possibly want. What’s your favourite episode?
The joy of tapped out is building your town and decorating it. There is also a ton of buildings, updates and characters to unlock as you level up. You can tell that the team really care about the game because even buildings and characters that have only appeared once or twice are in the game.Just because you can spend money on donuts does not make it bad.
Isn't it amazing that these shows have run for decades, providing enough entertainment to last a lifetime... Yet can barely make a game worth more than 5 minutes of your time.
Yeah, I would have loved a Simpsons game a bit like the South Park games: Wandering around Springfield at your own pace, meeting and interacting with all the characters, jokes and references around every corner.. I know there's Hit and Run but that's not quite the same, even that felt mostly rushed to me.
We need a Square Eyed Jak-Caddicarus crossover.
EA makes Mr. Krabs look like a considerate money wasteing guy
EA is owned by Mr burns
The best thing about my day was watching this fucking video
"Isometric Exercise" I see what you did there
These Simpsons reviews in the future are gonna be great!
Man... It only took a few clips to make me remember why I don't watch Family Guy.
This is why I stay away from games by EA since I've been avoiding them for _many_ years now and will continue to do so.
2018 is gonna be goooood especially hawktober
Hadi Nasrallah a huge bias whatever that means in a UK thing for buy right?
Hadi Nasrallah hjj
I covered a Family Guy game on PS2 a while back. I mention this because I look forward to your rage when you have to play as Peter on PS2.
Devastated!
I'm keen to know what you have install for us buddy. Solid and original reviews to start off the new year. DIG IT! ;)
Literally just finished watching this on Early Access! Very fitting considering I've been binge watching classic Simpsons episodes lately, though in my personal opinion it's downfall was LONG before the movie came out. Still, this was a great review, some of these games actually do look quite fun (apart from Tapped Out of course, F that) Also, we call pacifiers "dummies" here in England, too, you ain't alone there 😂
Nice! I've been binge watching some seasons myself actually, couldn't help it after working on this. :)
How funny, was just watching a bunch of Simpsons yesterday and look now, got a video on Simpsons as the season premiere of square eyed jak season 4
Looks like it's gonna be a good season!
shots fired at caddicarus
Damn I remember my friend had that first game on his phone back in the day. Nostalgia :D Anyways nice review as always Jak! Old mobile games need to be talked about
Good to see you again in 2018 Jak. Also nice to see the jab at Caddicarus. Will we be seeing the Simpsons NES games?
So im around 30 seconds in and already loving the intro
You uploaded this on my birthday lol!
What was it that you didn't like about The Simpsons Movie? That's one of my favorite movies, that movie just takes you back to the show's glory days.
You got me with the Australian fun fact. Should be a recurring gag in your videos, similar to a certain couch I know...
This is going to be a good season! Keep up the good work Jak!
That intro though XD I played Tapped Out for quite a bit but it got kinda boring after a while, the only times I played this is when I felt like playing it and then when I get bored of it I uninstall it. Loved the video man and the intro cracked me up! :D (we call it a dummy too in Britain)
3:01 Hmm, he doesn’t look like he’s stretching his calves on the windowsill to me. Oh well, I’m prepared for an unforgettable video.
Meowth giving coins every Friday? Are you sure you're talking about Pokemon Go? I've never seen that in-game nor heard about it.
SebaOutbreak
Sorry 😂😂
I meant to say Pokemon Shuffle 😕
Trolllolololol
i love too see your back again with your amazing quality content as always!
2018 will be the best year ever for you.
I'm still waiting for a new Simpsons or Futurama console experience. Hey, it could happen! ...Maybe.
(I know I'm late)
Well if South Park can be successful on modern consoles (twice) then why not give The Simpsons or Futurama another try?
The great thing about Tapped Out is you can play the game completely free and still get hundreds of characters. Plus there are a lot of ways to get donuts now so it adds up very quickly. :)
Dat intro smooth as fuck, goddamn you have come such a long way from your crash reviews. Best regards
18:14 Brilliant description to those mobile apps!
*D'oh!* I was expecting a new top 10 list video.
15:27
Lmfao that timing, got an ad for Mcdonalds coffee right after you said that
got an ad for some other shitty Mobile game lol
Awesome as usual SquareEyedJak! (:
Haha, I loved how you parodied the Simpsons intro
I am convinced there was a produciton error with Hit and Run PS2 copies, mine literally broke as I was getting it out of the CD case for Christmas, that was a fun year
I just found you random searching T.h.p.s. vids. Love it all hope you get the 50k soon. You deserve it mate. Gday
Man I'm Level 55 on Tapped Out and Haven't spent a dime.
You did a Damn Good Job, Yo.
The success of Tapped out is the reason why we aren't gonna get a Simpsons hit and run 2
The Simpsons: Itchy & Scratchy Land. I remember playing that on my old cell phone, back when 3 was still active in Australia and was a separate entity from Vodafone.
Even though I didn't like it that much, I miss it, as well as 3 and my old phone.
Great review as always jak, season 4 is going to be awesome.
16:45 XD
Hey thanks for the heart :)
Someone possibly already pointed it out but the jingle that plays when you beat a "level" in the spot the difference game is literally from Mario 64
Good stuff!
Haha! I played that Futurama game. I thought it was mediocre.
As for Simpsons: Tapped Out, I'm pretty sure that one tapped out my nephew's granddad's Visa!
I wanted to play that Futurama game on the GameCube.
It got canceled for the GameCube. Great...
Astral Frost I got it on the ps2
Jak just as a suggestion you should review the South Park games. (The Stick of Truth, The Fractured but Whole, Phone Destroyer).
Imagine somewhat who doesnt pay for donuts and daily tasks weren't out and the only way to get donuts way to level up, and once you reach the level 40's, it takes months... that was me
Five dislikes people thinks all video games are fucking stupid self-righteously like EA!
Fuck yess itchy and scratchy episode in season 4 is the best !!! Great video as well man
Edit: speaking of ea the Simpson's game was pretty good imo good memories playing it on ds and ps2
Cheers mate, much appreciated! Got a lot of of cool stuff on the horizon that I'm keen to get stuck into. :)
i love your videos jak keep up the great work my man
Honestly wish that they went back to making these games on consoles instead of mobile devices. We haven’t had a simpsons game on console since 2007 and that was the simpsons game which was actually a great enough game to get its own sequel. Which is disappointing because the franchise does have a lot of potential to make good games based off the franchise.
Great vid as always Jak : ). Though I'm slightly curious on what your thoughts are on Caddy hahaha. Anyway keep up the good work.
Also I'm glad I'm not the only one that found the movie slightly underwhelming.
Every time you hear Jack mentioned Ratchet and Clank it just means that the review will be delayed even more
We call them Dummy's here in Ireland too btw Jak :) Love the video also.
Who is watching this in 2024?
also random fact: us brit's also call pacifiers 'dummys'
I should've expected this from the season 4 trailer
Jack: Isometric Exercise
Me: Steamed Hams
spongebob also had a tapped out clone in like 2012 but its servers shut down a few years ago
Yassss a new video. Brilliant as always my friend :)
Simpsons mobile games.............oh god.
Welp, at least Miz is the Intercontinental champion!
Finally an actual person who says dummy and not “pacifier” #Australian
EA has just announced that The Simpsons: Tapped Out will shut down in early 2025.
(Edit: I forgot to mention, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow had shut down last year)
Very excited to see you cover the Family Guy Mobile Games! When will this happen, Jack? D:
Didn't know there was that many Simpson mobile games, the first too still up to download? Or did you use an old phone that already had them?...also if that was Australia in your intro, it looks beautiful there man. Good vid as usual lol.
9:46 Hey what’s up guys it’s scarce here!
I really am liking these reviews Jak! Can't wait for the next one!
(also what was the music in the Tapped Out segment?)
I remember when I friend had like top of the line samsung touch screen phone and I had this old nokia flip phone he installed the simpson fighting game on my flip phone and I spent like hours on hours playing it goold old times

Great video Jak, have a great fucking day
Should we expect a collab with you and Cal called "Steamed Jaks" soon?
Interesting first review of 2018. Nice nice.
This isn't what I expected.
That doesn't mean I'm not satisfied with what I got.
so let me get this straight. That last game makes fun of "pay or wait" mobile games where you literally can't do anything without waiting or coughing up cash, and then LITERALLY turns into the exact game it's mocking?
Can't wait till the next review

I'm on level 48 but still have to build ziff Corp sign from level 45 but I can't go to level 46, 47 and 48 until I build the ziff Corp sign
Who's watching this in 2023?
LOL long time no see :D
You're reviewing simpsons mobile games first and not hit and run , DOH !!!!
1:45 holy crap! What happened to your copy of that Simpsons game?
9:44 you dare dis the caddy!!!!!
Yes.
I really don’t think he is slipping. I think both are great channels. Both really know how to review a game
with some humour put into em
Again what a great vid jak
well I didn't expect this
The prodigy son returns
Is there any mobile building game like tapped out with a fair business model?
I thought we were having steamed clams.
No, they're steamed hams! That's what Skinner calls hamburgers! Lol!
You call hamburgers steamed hams?
Yes... despite the fact that they're obviously GRILLED.
I've been playing Simpsons Tapped Out for a couple of years now and I do have to disagree with the game being as a pay to win.

Tapped out is closing down for good soon
So you live in Launceston Tasmania? thats sick as i live in dev ;)
you could look at Animation Throwdown for IOS and Andriod, ive been playing almost 2 years. its a combo of: Futurama, family guy, bobs burgers, american dad and king of the hill. amazing game. very time grindy tho, but as i said, years in and i still play it many hours and am in a top 50 guild. give it a try :D

Simpsons especially, SO many of their games are just shovelware. Such a shame.

I know there's Hit and Run but that's not quite the same, even that felt mostly rushed to me.
It’s because the Simpson’s is the greatest show ever. It’s still good if old fans would give it a chance. The same old humor is still there.
Almost at 16K!!!! :)
when i was like 4 i played this game on my ipad and spent my dads 150 dollars for some donuts
YASSS NEW VIDEO
Boofny it’s also new to me
Caddy spams your screen lol
