I decided to pig out on Captain Drone videos and I've enjoyed catching up over the last few days. I'm definitely going to get into FPV but there are a lot of factors to take into consideration. I have to make my mind up whether I'm going to jump in with analog, or take a bit of time and spend big on an all digital system. Whatever I decide it'll be influenced by what the capt' has said in this most excellent series. Thanks again Steve.
YES Captain! I watched the unboxing this time! Not sure I'm ready for a FPV drone. The headgear is a little much for my budget right now but it sure seems the ONLY way to fly it to fully appreciate it and, use it to its full potential.
Nope. When you buy an FPV drone from the BIG companies and select the XM+ receiver option, all the companies flash the receiver with firmware to make it not protected. I've never had an issue to date and I've reviewed hundreds of FPV drones with XM+ receivers, all connected the RADIOMASTER or JUMPER radios.

Well, I dont think this would be ok for complete beginners, unless you will get combo dji goggles and controller than it would probobly be only plug and play. I got one of them but Im using my taranis x9d with it and also had to buy crossfire because 2.4ghz is simply not enough for this quad.
