That's a excellent list, i also avoid games if too much happening on screen but that might be my age 61 or if the lead character looks too smug, Shepherd. I would add Skyrim as i didn't expect to enjoy it but i loved it & a later game Disco Elysium but i had to buy a new fangled state of the art gtx 1060 3gb for that which is the newest card i own by about 5 years. I put the 9800gt in my XP machine as per your suggestion & i am indeed Golden
I suggest you try 2007's Forza Motorsport 2 as well. Forza was still trying to find its identity at that time and was a lot more ingenuous than the more clinical third title and its sequels. Not that that's a bad thing, I love FM3, FM4 and the way they're presented, but FM2 is different enough to be appreciated in a different way. It's generally so charming that it makes up for the floaty handling. It's also the most retro you can go with an HDMI capable console because it feels a lot like and old game, but without the associated drawbacks.

Titanfall 2 costs 5 euros on Steam and it's the most beatiful, most awesome single player campaign for that kind of money. Also Dishonored 1 and 2, Wolfenstein Old Blood -> New Order (OMG) and Xcom Enemy Within and Xcom 2. These are wonderfully fun more recent games that I've enjoyed madly.
Man i bought a 360 back then, because of forza 3. What a stunning game at its time, loved it! Forza 4 felt more like a 3.5 to me, it wasn't so grappling as the precursor. But super enjoyable when you didn't play part 3, i think. And ooops, Alan wake - Also have to catch on this title. Totally missed it back then. Good my old X360 is still in good shape, a console i never want to miss!
BF3's singleplater is the definition of average. I'll look for BF:BC2 somewhere and if I can find it, I'll gift it to you and that's the one you should play.

Witcher 3 and Final Fantasy VII remake are a couple of games I have enjoyed the most in the last decade.
Never played the original FF VII :D
My gaming journey stopped in 2009 when I got promoted at work. I haven't even seen any of these games in real life let alone played them.

I've had some occasions of buying FM 2, but I've thought that if I have 3 and 4 it's enough...but thanks for the tip, I will get 2 also!

Forza Motorsport 3 and 4 are amazing, also Alan Wake is the game that I really need to finish.
