Yes Sir, the G372s def have a spot if you're not putting food on the table with one & you don't mind wrenching on saws. They def help your trouble shooting skills getting the bugs worked out of them...
The G372 is definitely not for the right saw if you are not prepared to trouble shoot issues because there will be some. Once the problems are worked out they are quite reliable. I have been using two 372xp clones almost exclusively for the last two years and have cut about 50 cords of fire wood per saw along with dozens of trees cut down, and limbed. The main issues I have found with my samples are, carburetor, intake boot, impulse line, ignition coil, pull cord and crank seals.
Clone cuts great just may not be reliable until you work out the issues. Even then it would be a project saw and only used at home. Need my second saw to be reliable in case primary gets pinched or fails.
Hey there, both saws are running 3/8 full chisel chain. Holzfforma has Oregon .58 gauge. The husky has Husqvarna chain with a .50 gauge (husky light bar)
Ha, Shiney. I’m so glad you actually done this comparison using both saws 👍🏼. It at least gives us a good idea on how the clone holds up to the original chainsaw. I would love the original one, but if I’m just cutting a bit firewood I would just use the clone and keep the better saws for the hard full time work. I have a couple of cheap clone saws and, touch wood 🪵 they have served me well except for one which blew up, lol…. The others have been great work horses. Thanks for another great video 👍🏼.
@@Northofsomething82yeah, they have their place. Holding your shop door open. I stupidly bought one. Cut maybe one cord w it. Switched carb and oiler to OEM. Then one day it was locked up after using. Wrist pin clip was broke. Now the shop it's at can't figure out why he can't pull it over w the clutch tight. Oh yeah, rope broke on like the 3rd use. Can't even keep the chain for the 590 echo I bought, as it's.058, not .050. Yep, there see you don't trust yours still
@brandonhoad9033 gos back to “you get what you pay for”. I don’t trust the clone if I want to be productive. For me basically it’s a hobby saw. I don’t hate it, I’m having fun with the saw but I can see how people would be very disappointed with it too. Parts freaking break on them for sure. ✌️
If the Holzfforma is always sitting on the bench getting fixed is it really worth the the saving? With all the money you keep throwing at it, in the end you could of just bought an OEM.IMO. Reliability is the name of the game! If you have to carry an extra saw as back up what's the point?
Basically the point of the video in the end but some people, for what they need the saw for could get away with the cheap clone. Depends on what you are expecting out of it. ✌️
I got mine at thearboriststore.com. I just bought the pouches separate and had my own belt. You can buy a whole kit belt and all. I’ve also seen them on Amazon. They are Weaver. Solid quality, worth the money. ✌️
You can buy the Holtzforma and then buy a replacement Husqvarna brand starter and a Husqvarna carburetor and put on there and still have a good quality almost equivalent to Husqvarna saw for far less than you would spend on the Husqvarna.
That was sweet knocking both down at the same time ! I ordered the G372 for firewood and little stuff around the house can't wait !!

Exactly what I’m yapping about!! 😝✌️

Also, what type of chain is that. I know the chain saw is only half of the equation. Thanks

Hey Wayne!! The clones have a place in the chainsaw world. They can be a bit stubborn but they do hold up once you get past the stubbornness 😆 ✌️

$1200 vs $300 and when autotune takes a crap, and they do after a year or two, add anther $350 to the $1200 do some research not all is so rosey
Good video Bud !
Subbed !
Appreciate the kindness! ✌️
Excellent video. Thank you
You bet! ✌️
I saw your ax and wedge holder... where did you get those?

Compare 372 to 372 instead of a 572.
nice knock-off.
The CCP is getting more clever and creative wen it comes to counterfeiting and patent infringements.
Save the 3-400$ towards a real deal model
I would suggest that if one can afford it. ✌️
