It didn’t do well in the US but it was #1 just about everywhere else! The brothers wrote her entire Eaten Alive CD Earlier in the late 70’s, Samantha Sang’s only really big hit was EMOTIONS . The brothers wrote that while Barry produced and sung background. Barry wrote the title track to the movie GREASE, and Frankie Vallie took that to #1 Yvonne Elliman took the song IF I CANT HAVE YOU to number #, written by the brothers… And you know Barry really had a hand in his younger brother’s career (ANDY GIBB) with writing, producing, background singing, and playing the guitar on just about all his hits So you can see…they were excellent songwriters & producers as well as singers.
