- This Craftsman LT2000 lawn tractor with a Briggs and Stratton single cylinder engine was dropped off because it won't start. Follow along as Tyler does an investigation to find out why.

I have to admire the intelligence of the mouse -- or the mice -- that built the nest. Consider this: they found a protected, dark location. Building up the nest just right there will let the creatures stay cozy warm even in very cold weather. The creatures can raise multiple litters and do so without being disturbed for months at a time. It is pretty smart of them -- until a human tries to start the engine, or until one or more of the creatures start a fire. By the way I hope you gave the tractor engine a good scrubbing to get rid of the mouse messes and so you can check for hidden damage.
Hey-been missing you guys! Guessing you’ve been working long hours on the important stuff, as spring moved north. I appreciate your repair vids and look forward to more!
Thank you Tyler! Wow that was a big nest compacted under there. Here in Ohio I get a lot of those in snowblowers and tillers.
Good to see you back, Tyler 👋
Always enjoy seeing Tony the Tiger!
Found a mouse nest in the air box of my motorcycle. 😂
Holy crap 😮 that's a big nest,I hate those dirty little buggers .at least the mower runs great 👍
Tyler and Tony having some time together. 😎 🙀
I just started with your channel. Hopefully I get to see more content more often I really enjoy watching it. I watch several other people on TH-cam as well that have small engine channels. I happen to stumble across yours I like what I’ve seen so far look forward to seeing lots and lots more content 😊
Please come back we miss you
Wow! You two are already over 10K, Congrats!!
Erica great job. Tell him to quit being so shy. Always a thumbs up. 👍👍
Yep I check for mouse nests every spring...I had them chew through my drive belt about 3 years ago.
Someone is very lucky to still have a mower I think!
I can smell that mouse nest already!!
When I saw the fire early in the video, my first thought was - "he gave up on that Craftsman tractor awful quick...." 8^) That Mouse-O-Matic pre-chewed ignition wire never was real good (on any engine). Cheers!
I was thinking the exhaust on the nest started it. It turned into a conflagration all the way back to the starter, then it died due to mouse urine, then Mickey and Minnie came back and put a second story on!
Interesting video. I had mice eat the evaporation lines in my car. The car check engine light wouldn't go off. $1450 and 2 weeks later, the check engine light was fixed. Expensive just to pass emmissions testing. So, if I park it over the winter again, I'll encapsulate it with a tarp. I hear mothballs are supposed to work as well but not sure.
Have that same mower that I bought in 2001 if I remember right. Had to replace the head gasket twice due to it blowing out between the piston bore and the push rods (common on these). Other than that the engine never game me an issue until 2019 when it developed a bad surging issue. Carb rebuild didn't fix it, new carb didn't fix it, adjusting and then replacing the governor didn't fix it. At that point I had about $125 in it and still wouldn't run right and my lawn was starting to look like jungle. Looked online and I discovered I could get a complete new engine for about $375 so I went that route. As long as the deck doesn't rust out and the transaxle doesn't take a crap on me I should be good for another 15-20 years.
I enjoyed that. Thanks.
Tyler Great video mice moved in don’t make it easy to run your mower damage will happen sooner or later and it will cost you plenty in repairs
Nice video 👍
Good one. The little mouse buggers will get in almost any where.
Have a great day. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Great videos , watching from cornwall , ontario
Great thing to have you have a air lift table for your help when you are working on riding mowers Tyler fluffy stay away from those classic ayp made mowers
👍👍👍. Thank you
Mice can create a big mess when allowed to have rent free accommodations. Wonder if the nest was started late last summer while the tractor was still being used periodically and then as winter set in more "insulation" was added to make for a nice winter home?? Thinking the owner needs to invest in a four legged mouse trap as featured at the start of the video. Thanks for sharing.
I hate mice and rats 🐀 two. Nice little video.
Wow That’s a Huge Rats Nest 😮😮😮😮
That is one big mouse nest 🐀
Tony is what I would call well spoiled. His belly swings as he walks. 😺
Doesn't take much of a spark to ignite fine tinder like that. 😅
Call the customer or send him photos.
I have found a couple of dead snakes that were in the engine after the mice.
And once a mouse nest in a muffler.
He was lucky you found that nest and the fire stopped. What do you recommend for keeping them away. A lot of the tricks don’t seem to work.
Would you tell me the make and model of the air pressure/vacuum gauge you guys use? I want one!
My favorite Garlic!!
I have mice living in my grill, last night caught one in a trap. He or she ran under the bale of the trap and caught their back and I finished it off with a shovel.
He or she ?
Don't know how to sex a mouse ?
The fire is a metaphor for what's becoming of Canada.... Am I allowed to write that ? Hang on, there's someone at the door....
Well, that was cute..
Thank God the mower didn't burn like a candle...
Hope to see MS311 on your channel..
I hope you either vacuumed or blew out the engine?
I like cats 🐈😺😸😻
Fluffy the mouse 🐀 😅 fluffy most likely had a family in there at one time. 🏡 house for a mouse
Your customer needs a repair and a cat. Not your cat of course.
Stinking, destructive mice. Makes a guy wonder what was God thinking when he created them!
Does Tony fix machines too? :D
