So happy to find this channel. I am doing this Camino in a couple of month. Watching you navigate the trek helped me. Simple post, just you. I felt I was with you. I will be going on my own. I'm hoping I get as much out of it as you did. Thank you.
Easy to say, difficult to do. Sometimes things that make it difficult are the circumstances and other people.
The footage quality, and the drone footage are incredible. No silly music, just pure outdoors. Love it.

Just came back from the Camino Francés, 500 miles to Santiago. Got into trekking after videos on TH-cam like yours
Wonderful. I cycled from Lisbon. Part of which was costal. But the weather had some challenges. Winds and rain pelting down. Made it truly an adventure. Then we turned inland. Finally making it to Santiago. The Portuguese are the loveliest people I’ve ever met. ❤️
Beautiful! I walked from Porto to SDC, then Finisterre, Muxia, back to SDC, and then back to Porto again this summer in 31 days. What a magical experience. Thanks for allowing me to relive it!
Great adventure Liam. I find the sound of footsteps on a gravel path strangely soothing and the subtitles interprets that sound as applause😆 I applaud you too. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.

Good on ya Liam. In 2017 I did the Camino Francis. After a night's celebration in Santiago, I continued hiking the Portuguese Way in reverse, finishing my Camino in Porto. I'd recommend doing the full Camino, it will change your life forever.
A few years ago I did the last 100 miles of the “French” Camino. Galicia is known as the urinal of Spain and, like you, it rained on us. The Caminos are well worth doing - for some it is a spiritual journey, for others it is a walk. Ending up in Santiago is marvellous - the cathedral is stunning and best seen from the huge square that it overlooks. Thank you for showing us the Portuguese Camino.
Your journey from army chef to Santiago has been a joy to behold. Great work again Liam, you never disappoint.
I felt so much for you today when the burger and chips shop was closed, and the shower wasn’t working. Anyway you kept on smiling, enjoying your fabulous adventure. Mate I love your channel. You're a likeable bloke and this is no nonsense just pure great walks with fantastic footage views and highlights. I could watch a 2 hour video on this. Please continue these international hikes and journeys. I know it's far away but new Zealand has 9 "greak hikes" most of them over several days. I've done 2 of them and they would be great for you to do and put on here
This is probably the best video I seen so far about Northern Portugal and the Portuguese Way of Saint James. By the way, in Portuguese it's "Caminho", not "Camino".

I have been fortunate to stay in Porto and Santiago De Compostela on previous trips but am hoping to do the route you did in May 2023.
It was a joy to see the pleasure you get from enjoying the outdoor life, and in many ways reminds us that you don't have to spend the big bucks to enjoy yourself.

I'm from Porto, and even though I've never taken the "camino" I headed North a lot as a young person. And now, recalling those journeys with my family, - through pretty much all the places you've been also, - it gives a mystic vibe, something outworldly, something rough but cozy, familiar, a lunar landscape. While at the same time, I know this part of the world is the antipodes of New Zealand - I see a link, a mysterious vibe, exciting, adventurous - the same kind of sun, maybe, the mix of ocean, moutains, forrest and beach, but half a world apart.

Fascinating video. The immense well-being by walking. We did this from Oporto to the Spanish border 40 years ago. Still remember the healthy cabbage soup one could get everywhere. Now, everything looks very modern compared. An ocean is an ocean. Thank you for the remarkable landscape pictures taken with sensible feelings.
It seemed so relaxing and blissful to be camped at the beach and hearing the ocean waves.

I've watched a number of video's about Portugal, from van lifers or people who just bought a patch of land in the back country and made a life, but nothing like this. A completely different perspective and another great video. Keep them coming Liam :)

Estimado Peregrino LiamBrown, has hecho un vídeo precioso y me ha gustado mucho. El recorrido que has hecho, ya lo hice en dos ocasiones y la verdad que es muy bonito y merece la pena recorrerlo. Este año de 2022 hice el Camino Francés desde Saint Jean de Pied de Port, he invertido 40 días en recorrerlo, comencé el 20 de septiembre y finalicé el 29 de octubre, es el más largo que hice de los 8 que llevo ya realizados. Cuídate mucho y que Dios te bendiga. ¡BUEN CAMINO!

I wanted to just thank you for all your videos on this channel. I would love to go out and just go backpacking as well, but for some reason it feels like a big hurdle to actually go and do it. I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and have been watching many of your videos. You always sum up what you bring in your pack, which isn't much. I don't know why, but the hurdle doesn't feel nearly as big now, and I'm planning my first multi-day hike in spring.
Thank you so much for the inspiration, and for providing the final push I needed to take the step. I will enjoy my hikes so much!

Hey Liam, I watched this video back in May, and as I was wondering what to do with myself for the summer I decided to give this a go. I walked the full distance from the river in Porto to the cathedral in Santiago in 12 days and just got back last week.
As hot as it was, it was a stunning walk and a really wonderful way to experience Portugal and Spain in a non-touristy manner, so thanks for the video. It provided the kick I needed to go do something and it worked out really well! Easily one of the most enjoyable hikes I’ve done abroad.
Curious what do you do for water each day as you hike? Are there public refil taps, do you buy from shops etc?
