It looks like this method does not work for me, after creating the work path, and selecting the text tool, the text tool does turn into a dotted circle, but as soon as I start to fill the work path with text, the work path disappears and the text fill completely ignores the work path. Do you know what causes this?
REASON FOUND: If you are having this issue described above, it is likely because you have made a working path that has a hole inside of the greater shape, like a donut, but can take on any form. This type of working path will not work with the text fill, the work path shape bust be one complete shape with no holes. To circumvent the issue, create two working paths for your shape with the hole in it, one for the top half, and one for the bottom half. This way you can have two complete shapes that have no holes. fill the text of the top shape, then fill the text of the bottom shape. Problem solved!
Is it possible to do this on the ipad photoshop app? I can’t figure out how to create a work path since right clicking on the ipad with a mouse does not create the work path as shown in your video.
