AMAZING tutorial! Thank you so much. You're a GREAT teacher! OMG. Super knowledgeable and you explain everything perfectly. Thank you! BTW I didn't need to put the text into a single line, I could just create a custom text box and then do this procedure and it worked. So maybe they've updated that.
I am trying the same method but instead of lyrics from the internet I have names in word that I need to put into numbers. I got as far as "flow into frame" but it will not work from there. What would be your suggestion on this?
Thought I had found the solution to an issue I’m trying to resolve. However when I try to do this I can’t get the text to go on one line as demonstrated. I have a newer version of Inkscape. When I load a project the workspace is A4 - is that my problem? What is the purpose of the box? Is that a text box?. So frustrating!
Thank You for replying, When I pasted the lyrics I can not understand how You edited it for one line. So I retyped it myself in one line. is there a way to show How You did this please .@@ashleefalco
you probably have the newer version of Inkscape - the buttons are all there. I would suggest listening to what buttons I say to press and locate them on your screen.
Thanks!
thank you for watching!
It worked great for me! I like your "teaching style". You explain everything so well. Thank You!
Thank you!! So sweet of you! I love teaching new things for all makers so this made my day!
I've been trying to figure this out FOREVER!!! Thanks for sharing.

why won't it work? What are you seeing?
Followed directions but when I "flow into frame," my text disappears! I made heart pink and text black??? Any ideas?
Make sure your text is in front of the shape. (Bring it forward). I’ve noticed that if the shape is above the text the text disappears
@@ashleefalco thank you so much! ♥

I would just type everything out on one line. No matter the size workspace you have, it' shouldn't matter.
I was with you until the last part where you ungrouped then welded. I'm on a PC and couldn't find those command shift g and command shift plus sign
right click and press ungroup then go to the top select path and then union
How do you space out letters please to make one line
you just type out your letters all in one line.

I’m lost. Your Inkscape page looks totally different than mine and I haven’t a clue what to do.

@@ashleefalco I’m gonna have my husband help me follow your video. He’s got more computer experience than I do.
Why don't you just draw a heart, that's what inkscape is for.
Draw a heart if you want to
