Why are people dissing the liberty😂😂.. I have had many and currently own several off road vehicles including many jeeps and several trucks including an f150 raptor.. I owned a 2005 liberty and I have to say it was probably my favorite off road vehicle it out preformed my raptor off road in every way and while my wranglers still had the upper hand in some off road situations vs my liberty I loved the liberty for its versatility and how seamlessly it could go from normal streets to tough terrain.. them libertys dont look like much but they will more than hold there own against other machines while off road.. that car was almost like a forwheeler and I could get pretty much anywhere with it then I could slip back on the road and nobody even know what its capable of
Yeah its very typical of some Wrangler owners to hate on the Liberty, especially mine.
Most people hate on them because they’re and unfit and unreliable Pieces of shit that were barely worth their weight in scrap off the factory floor..
@@lllDolph
Well that is your opinion I own 2 05 crd's 200,000 plus on both of them keep up the proper maintenance and they are great.
@@lllDolph meanwhile your means of transportation are most likely a pair of smelly worn out Walmart fake chuck taylors
looks awesome!! hope to get my liberty looking like that one day
The feels this video gave me he took a messed up Jeep and made it a good one definitely not crying right now
This model took the place of the XJ. I was in a KJ club and these things can wheel with proper lockers and wheels/tires. Watched them go where some Wranglers couldn't. I've installed or assisted with 4 lift kits, easy to run 245 or 265 with a little trimming. On the other hand my wife has driven an 05 for the last 10 yrs and I don't plan to own another, constantly replacing stuff, window regulators are horrible.
Yep the window regulators are bad. Funny I didn't have any problem with the 4 on this one, but my wife's Red one you see in the video it's a 2006 I had replaced all 4 and the left rear twice.... Both are sold at this point, I couldn't sell the Red one for $4,000 I bought the chrome 5 star wheels on C.L. for $80 put new tires on it for $420 had a dozen people lined up to buy it at $5500 should asked for $6,000 lol
I'm going buy my first jeep next week... Jeep Liberty yeah 2003 4.7 :)))))))))
My Liberty , My JEEP is already with me !!!
*3.7
@@CammyG0 My Jeep Liberty 3,7 :) is still with me.
Is is still with you?
@@saaraajwaqia2284 Oh no... unfortunately my Jeep is no longer with me. inflation in my country ate up 30% of my earnings. Fuel prices are terrible. The Jeep consumed 20l/100km. With great regret, I sold it and bought an economy car.
Just got my kJ lifted and new tires too. Your vid got me interested to do it in the first place. Really liking how it rides now.
Right on! Thats great to hear, keep having fun...
Murcieme and f*** that frank castle guy. I was reading your comments and other to him back and forth last night. What a dumbass! The Liberty is awesome and you made one of the nicest looking ones I’ve ever seen. 👍
@@maxrockatansky2976 thanks, yeah no sleep lost on him lol. Appreciate the compliment's
Very nice! It's great to see people giving new life to these underrated Jeeps. I say underrated because I here the "why not get a real Jeep?" thing all the time. Great looking KJ you have!
Just point to the Jeep emblem and remind them Jeep installed this, not me. It's real. Lol
Well said, I'm gonna' use that one!
3.7 is good snappy motor. And granny low first gear in manual transmission. But the motor can't handle getting hot. And being dipped in water holes.
I get it, too! Why not get a real Jeep? Answer: There has not been a "Real Jeep" worth buying since they stopped making the Liberty and Wrangler TJs. JK, JKU, JL, JLU & JT are fine looking Jeeps, but there serviceability, cost and dependability are NOTHING like the original Jeeps! Chrysler has a cash cow now, and their concern for the original, simple, dependable rugged Jeep 4X4 that started it all is non-existent! I LOVE my '02 Liberty Limited w/ a 2" Rocky Road lift, 31" Goodyear DuraTrac LT225/75-R16 tires on Quadratech 5 spoke wheels. Always get comments and offers to sell. Owned a '13 JKU 10A in full AEV trim, and sold it because it cost a fortune to maintain and operate! Oh well... Great looking KJ, BTW!
@@billgroth1440 yeah very true, I have a guy in the comments ripping my Liberty and I and a guy stepped in and told him his new Jeep has a Minivan engine among many other things. It was fun to watch them go back and forth that guy that ripped on me got owned....
Ive got a 2007 liberty. One of the best surprise off roaders I ever had. I am planning a captain america theme for mine. Captain america is my favorite.
Nice...
My wife had an 07. We bought it new, and kept it for 9 years and 170k miles. It was a great car, and we regularly express our regret for trading it in.
That 3.7L V6 was no slouch. I know that Ram 1500s with 3.7L had lots of problems, but I think it just wasn't big enough for that 1/2 ton truck. At the same time with similar technology, GM & Ford were using a 4.3L and 4.2L V6 for the same applications. So it probably wasn't ideal for the 1500, but it was great in that liberty.
Thanks, I have heard a lot if positives on the Liberty. Some haters of course but they also never owned a Liberty either.
I still have mine well over 2k miles hoping for 3k before I have to replace the motor. And what an easy car to work on, plenty power.
I took delivery of one of these Daimler Jeep Liberty models in Oct.of 01 when I got one for the wife new that I ordered for her retirement gift. It's an 02 fully loaded in a silver limited, leather and every option they offered, full skid plating, limited slip you know the works! Quite honestly it's been a great rig and we love it! I'd buy another one but the 04 and 05 are the best years in my opinion. These have to be the best deals in used Jeeps right now. I mean you can find these in great shape for really good prices so to me compared to other Jeeps these are extra nice because they are Daimler. I wouldn't trade my Daimler for a new Fiat/Jeep model no matter how good it looks! Great looking rig dude! Gives me ideas on what I can do with our 17 year old model. Thanks
Good to hear. Thanks. Amazing the amount of negativity on these Jeeps, mostly from those who havnt owned one.
@@JeepTJWheelin Totally agree. I love the Wranglers with the 4.0L I6 no reason not to continue with arguably the best fuel engine made. I do not have one, I did help my son restore a '94 Wrangler YJ he loves it. I just built him a Jeep Coffee Table YJ style. I posted a Video check it out.

The bumper looks sick, I have a 2004 liberty definitely going to look into the bumper.

@@keithcook4537 they are in the video where the motorcycle turn signals are mounted. They will come to you raw metal. Damn great ideas for my 02 libby. Of course with some persuasion and fab work. Those bumber brackets looks so simple to make. I was thinking more complicated.
Awesome build man
Thanks, they are pretty simple I did have them drawn out with specs but couldnt find my work, So I drew them again but do not have the specs but its still good enough for understanding how to go about it.
You're giving me hope for my Liberty KJ now! Cool build!

Amazing video thanks. Now I know I can get a nice bumper for me 2006 CRD
Absolutely beautiful great job brother 🔥🔥
Beautiful and badass Jeep Liberty man. You did a great job. I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade. Plan on doing a lift eventually. Got the same wench. Currently looking for a good rock crawler/safari bar. I was thinking about one from a Wrangler. It's one sitting in a salvage yard, poor Wrangler got wrecked. But that front end is good and that safari bar would look sweet on my Liberty. Wasn't sure if it would fit though, after watching this I feel like it would. Probably taking the lights off it then too, that or ones I been looking at online.
Thanks bro, that sounds great. I had to make custom brackets for the bumper to fit it wasn't difficult. Are you gonna upload a video?
My 05' Jeep Liberty needs some help! She's been good to me for 10 years now and I wish I could fix her up like you did this one! She's good under the hood, but not pleasing to the eye (paint has faded terribly).. But great work!!!
Thanks... It was a fun project.
Great job.
The 2005 Libby was a good one.
In 2005Chrysler produced maybe the best libby ever imo.
Getting ready to hit 200k on mine (:
Good to hear... I like the change in the grille for the 2005-2007
Sweet Jeep. I just bought my 2005 Jeep Liberty Regrade. She's a bit ruff. But it runs drives and stops. I need to replace Grille. And the gentlemen I bought it from did me dirty 4 bald tires. Passenger side rear door window won't roll up. I think it's off track. And they pulled the CD radio. So I'll have to fix that. Sun roof works great! Passenger side front fender took a small hit I'll need to fix or replace. 1 odd ball rim and tire no spare. But the holder is there. It's at this moment when he ask himself WTF Are you doing? LMAO.... I used to own a 2003 Jeep Liberty. It was in Great shape dark blue. I took it mild Wheeling with street tires. And kept up with lifted Wranglers. It surprised all of them. My 2005 Jeep Liberty Regrade handles great. Very tight steering. If you sneeze you have to counter steer. One thing I don't like about my Jeep. Seat height. I wish I could lower about 6 to 8 inches. But it is what it is. Anyway sorry about being so long winded. Stay Safe my friend.
Window regulators are a typical problem with these Liberty's how did the seller do you dirty did he change out the tires after you bought it? Enjoy the Jeep 👍
This vid is inspiring my Christmas gifts to my girlfriend. I think I'm gonna give her liberty a small face lift.
I know she'd love the look of this one. 👍
give her a new car
@@carpedieme5904 why
Good idea, I think she will love it too.
$3,000 face lift to a $4,000 vehicle. Jeep better be great under the hood in order to hold the weight and hold the value of the expensive touch up
This is so sick 😂 just bought my liberty 2 days ago and this video popped up, musta known I was looking at bumpers on Google 😂 looks sick brother
Thanks. They do have potential to look good.
I plan on making mine do just that brother
@@jackpetska8827 Cool, have fun with it.
A huge help for me. Thank you so much for listing the parts you used. Jeep looks awesome.
it was a nice job we have a libby and it has gone 190k miles so you will enjoy it for a long time
I know a lot of people dont like the big flashy rim look but I personally like and have that style on my jeep. It's not like the rim affects how your tires will perform lol
I know right... It's rediculous, they say you can't go OffRoad with those tires so why have the bumper and winch. These at A/T I drive mainly on pavement so A/T's for me made more sence. But I sold this in 2016 the next owner can add M/T's so he can keep the bumper & winch I guess. I like the look and aggressiveness and M/T tires can easily be added when you want to get serious.
I absolutely love the build that you did on this liberty I’ll let you take mine and build it
Thank you so much, I appreciate those who take the time and express their good comments and thoughts especially since haters never hesitate to voice their rude comments. So I thank you again. This build cost me about $3500 not including my own labor. Thankfully I was able to buy cheap and made my money back both financially and my labor.
Nice work on the build . I’m thinking about putting a stubby bumper on mine (05 CRD).
Anything other than stock will look better lol
Love the KJ man I had done something similar to the front for an XRC bumper welds and everything
if you hit the plastic flares with a blow torch it restores the plastic
That's an amazing job, they look a little dorky stock but you made it looks dope.
Pretty cool build, congrats
I'm glad you like it
Super cool build . You should be very proud.
Thank you, glad you liked it. Check out my Durango build Part 1
I'm weird about Jeeps (mostly liberties cuz I have one. He's the goodest boy ^_^) and seeing where this jeep came from to where you got it brought a tear to my eye. You gave him new life! I wish I could do something like this with my Beep Beep Llama Jeep (that's his name) but I HAVE NO idea how much this stuff SHOULD cost NOW and if I'm getting ripped off or not.
I shop ebay and local wrecking yards etc I listed everything in the description and where it was purchased or fabricated. Have fun.
@@murcieme Awesome thank you!!!
Nice work bro 😎👍🏻
I have the same Jeep, all you need for the fading fender flares is Meguiars Endurance High Gloss. its 8 bucks and will last for 2 years and keep all plastic parts on the Jeep shiny and new looking
I just realized from your pictures, the new liberties are only missing the fender flares..if you remove them that's how the new ones look..
The one for the tires or the one for the dashboard?
Hey I don't know much about cars but do love the lifted off road look. I'm thinking of doing this to my jeep any recommendations I can do or ask for so when I take it in somewhere to get it done?
Just figure out what it is you want, and then call around shops and get some prices for installation same with tires & wheel package.. Have fun. What Jeep model do you own?
great work man love the rig
It’s REALLY GOOD LOOKING 👀
I wish my jeep liberty was at least half as cool as yours
Thanks I appreciate that, nice to hear positive feedback. Now you can build yours based on my build.
@@murcieme I wish I could, man. My family and I are going through a tough part of life right now, so I don't have any money for that kind of build. Not to mention that I've never even built a car in my life.
That's what I'm saying this is a fucking jeep...ha puts mine to shame
I’m trying to get my Jeep Liberty looking like that!
Wow! Awesome video can’t wait to do work on my liberty!!
I know this is a old video but I just need to know. What is the exact name of the studded decals that you used for the rocker panels. They are sick. I've read every single one of your comments and replies. Trying to avoid asking because I didn't want to bother you. But it's not on the list. And I've been trying to use the wording what you call them. But I can't find them any were. I'd be really appreciative if you could let me know what they're called or what words I could type on Google or eBay to find them thanks in advance..
They are only Decals as l built to sell and l didn't want to risk putting something more permanent. So they are simply 1/2" Round Silver Decals and yeah l also purchased on eBay
I am always willing to answer questions but also appreciate your concern on repeats.
your jeep is amazing
Thank you I appreciate the compliment...
Nice i built a 06 home made lift had to drop the engine cradel to repitch axels could clear 34s
My dad has a liberty Lying around I was wondering if it's worth converting into an off road vehicle for the weekend or something like that
Of course it is, probably would be free, you cant beat that for a project start.
Bravo maestro!! Greetings from Mexico city!!
Thank you, Hello...
Hey, can you help me a little bit on how to install the front bumper, I don’t really understand the drawing😅
@@DMDLS8 the drawing is what the adapters that l designed look like, the measurements are missing as the fab shop used them and lost them. Look at the side profile as the bracket goes over the top and under the Liberty reinforcement bumper behind the bumper cover, the length depends on your new bumper and the spacing you want, and the front is prepped for the same prep as a Wrangler. Hope that helps.
Tak sia2 perjuangan yg kau lakukan sesuatu yg indah menjadi lebih indah sukses terus....."!aku ikut menikmati nya.
Sorry I only speak English.
Your liberty has a similar look to my WJ, even similar colors. Although, my opinion, the studs on it does not give an aggressive look, it kind of makes it look a little bedazzled. The hardware that you have in the fender flares compliments the hardware on your wheels and that is enough, anymore is overkill. Everything else though is pretty much exactly the way I would do it. Though one thing I would do with the lights is take two more small lights and put them on a back of the cargo rack so you have lights facing backwards for when you need them. In the end, the only thing that matters is how you like it, it does not matter what anybody else thinks. Anyway it really does look great......except for the studs. 😉👍
Many have stated the same opinion while many more have found it looks great. Plus they are only 1/2" silver decals that can be easily removed...
Awesome good job 👍
Very good job!
Like the bumper wish you had the measurements on the plans for the mounts.
Its an easy measurement to find if you have the Jeep and the bumper, placement on the jeep is determined by the bumper mounts and distance from jeep reinforcement bumper to the mount on the bumper to position bumper... Yeah I dont know what happened to my drawings I normally keep all that stuff, sorry.

Hello,
I’ve had your video for some months now. I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty limited. I’m currently on the fence about lifting it but I do want to put spacers and add some decent tires on it (get all terrain tires is what I’ve been told). Wanted to see if you had any recommendations?
And do I need to change any springs before I add these new tires?
Everything is basically up to you on what you want and your needs. If it's just a street machine or if you want some mild off road abilities, if you want more clearance, going for looks etc. Do what you need to accomplish your desire for the rig to perform.
i think all the extra screws are a bit much but still frickin awesome
This is dope! ! ! ! I have an 04' that I would love to do this to, only paid $900 for it. . . . The crazy part is I was just asking my wife yesterday what I should do with it? ? ? ? Then I see your video today, how long did it take to complete and does the amount you account for any labor that wasn't yours? ? ? ? Thanks for your time, and again, what you did was awesome. . . .
Did not include my own labor. I work full time so it was a wknd and evening project as I could, so it took a year and a half.
@@murcieme Hey thanks for responding! ! ! ! I thought so, as I work two(sometimes three) jobs myself. . . . And actually, that time works as my skill level isn't that high on fabrication. . . . But I'm definitely thinking about following your blueprint. . . . I'm 53, and could stand a toy or two, 🤔😂🤣 Again, thanks for responding and be safe out there. . . . ✌🏾
Very well done
Do you still have the measurements for the Bumper Adaptor Brackets? I would love to put that same bumper on my Liberty.
I do not. I dont know what happened to it I usually keep that stuff. I drew what the brackets look like but dimensions are not included. If I remember the length was around 7" then the holes on the end would match the bumper then on the Jeep just 2 holes to go through the top & bottom of the reinforcement bumper.
@@murcieme Okay thank you :)
Nice-rebuild....looks great
Thanks appreciate it.
I have a 2007 liberty and I absolutely love it. Yeah it isn't a factory built off roader but is is amazing in the snow and just all around useful vehicle. I have in my garage a show done 2500 ram to a srt10 viper and several classic mopars but I choose to drive this liberty everywhere. 3.7 is a dog but I keep up an maintenance and it runs perfect. Anytime need my little trailer why use my diesel when the liberty pulls smalls loads with ease. People get all hurt saying the liberty isn't a real jeep, neither is hellcat GC! It just works well in its little nitch, ashame they got rid of it. I dont like the Cherokee with its underpowered 6cyl, should have the penstar! Also just because parts or an engine (which it doesnt) goes in a van doesn't mean it's bad. Anyway cool little build, I'd do mine up but she's happy stock and does everything I ask of it.

Does that model of libtery parts fit in the 08-12 model of liberty, such as the steel bumper or front /rear suspension?
The Bumper is from a Wrangler and I made my own adaptor brackets which you can do the dame as far as the next gen from '08 I would think not only body tedesign but suspension as well. So I would do your research.
How hard was to find the adaptors brackets for the bumper? the bumper looks criminal
I designed them according to the measurements and both Wrangler Bumper and the Liberty's reinforcement bumper and distance I wanted etc. Its toward the end of the video but I lost the actual specs which I gave to a fab shop that made them for me.
Thank you very much, I have a jeep liberty 2006 diesel 4x4 and I would like to have a bper like that.

Hello where did you order the fender flares renegade model and the angry eyes cover?
The end of the video shows parts and misc. But l ordered through my local wrecking yard LKQ they brought them in from other yards. They are from the Renegade model OEM
Where you buy the taillights metal cage cover?
The Jeep Liberty has a Model called the Renegade it has the pocket style fender flares and the Taillights with built in cage protectors along with roof lights and a much better hood and grille which l regret not upgrading to, would have looked even better.
Awesome build, I just bought an 06 Liberty sport 163k miles on it. Definitely would love to follow your build over the next year or two. Do you have a step by step for certain parts?
Thank you. Primary focus was cosmetics then suspension and lift and the rest is how the video went step by step. Have fun with your build.
