- Last week I was fortunate enough to take a trip to the Archives at General Mills. There was so much to see and I only got a fraction of it on video, but here's a summary of my trip. Huge Thank You to Kevin, Jessica and Katie who made this trip unforgettable! Hope to go back one day and see more!

Awesome video, Gabe! A little bit of a different video to brighten up my Monday! It was cool to see a box of Kaboom. I never tried it. I really wish that cereal wasn't discontinued. Really cool to see General Mills!

Tiny toast has actually been reintroduced in the last month or so. Flavors are fruit themed this time around.

I worked in an archive kinda like the one you showed - the same stacks and climate controlled rooms but it was for the Texas Land Office.
Anyway, do they employ ompa loopas at General Mills? At least tell me they still have the chocolate river and the Fizzy Lifting Drinks room. I lost three friends of mine when I took a tour there once.

They were short but not that short.
omg....I vaguely remember having Body Buddies cereal once as a kid...it was pretty bad and I asked my Mom not to buy it again. And I tried Buenelitos (sp?) and it was wonderful! Glad someone else remembers them...(I'm in Southern California)

I stumbled on this video doing some research on cereal commercials. That was such a fun tour to set up for and your shots make our displays look awesome. I am so glad that we were able to get you that Bunuelitos box. Come back and see us again sometime!

+Lerrymaine Rivera Unfortunately they don't make it anymore. Hopefully one day they'll resurrect that cereal, but for now all we have is memories. :(

Awesome. I started to think ralston and big G were the same when ralston's cereal boxes were displayed, right before you said they were just displaying them. They sold Cookie Crisp and Chex to them, so wouldn't it make a little bit of sense if they were just the same?

Why didn't you get on them about bringing back most of those cereals from the 80's that they discontinued? And how are you not a fan of Wheaties? That cereal is good. I just bought a box yesterday.
Oh I definitely complained and told them about all the stuff they needed to bring back. Never been a huge Wheaties fan. It's not that I don't like the cereal, just always can find something better to eat.

I've wondered why you never did a Waffle O's video? Now I see this video, & you said you own a Waffle O's box!? Can you PLEASE do a video! It was in my top 10 all time favorites, not sure which number, but my ALL TIME FAVORITE is Fruity Pebbles, & a close second is Boo Berry then Ice Cream Cones(chocolate chip) E.T., S'mores Crunch, & Smurf Berry Crunch! But Waffle O's hold a special place in my heart for sure, especially the blueberry! Thanx Gabe!

Man...I used to pass GM on 169 every single day and never thought to check it out. Now I live out of state. Isn't it true that we never take full advantage of local offerings! This was so neat to watch! Did you have to call ahead? Is it typically open to the public? Might be a fun stop next time I get back home!
Hey Tara! Yep, don't know what you got until it's gone, right? The GM Archives aren't actually open to the public, unfortunately. I knew I was going to be in the area so I reached out to someone at GM a few weeks before and they were kind enough to arrange a visit for me. It's a shame, because I wish they made it like a museum that the public could go visit.

My bad Gabe, I saw that you did talk about Waffle O's on the Waffle Crisp video! I promise you, Waffle O's Blueberry blows Waffle Crisp out of the water, it's good, but it's no Waffle O's! Why the heck Waffle Crisp, or Eggo has not released a Blueberry Waffle cereal, is beyond me!

+Moses Berkowitz Unfortunately they were discontinued long ago. Waffle Crisp is probably the best waffle cereal that's still available. But it's not as good as Waffelos was.
