Love these. I agree, Rappin' Barney is probably my most memorable commercial. The Fruity Pebbles Christmas one "ho ho ho, I'm hu-hu-hungry" stands out, too. If you feel lazy again, it'd be fun to do a best cereal prizes video, too. Loved those wacky wall crawlers that were good for about one throw before collecting dust and hair.
Haha! So true about those wacky wall crawlers! I was always so excited to play with them. If I only threw them at the window they seemed to last long, but as soon as they touched any other surface you could kiss the stickiness goodbye.
My grandmother’s favorite cereal was Frosted Flakes. ALWAYS had a box (or two) in her cupboard! I remember that commercial very well and it made me laugh. We didn’t eat them at home, which is fine because I never like sugary cereal growing up. But I did like fruit roll-ups, which only Grammy would buy for me!
There have been so many great cereal commercials throughout the decades. The ones I liked most were the '80s and '90s since I grew up in that timeframe. So I have a lot of nostalgia for the cereal commercials of the '80s and '90s. As you mentioned, that Barney rap commercial was one of my favorites, especially since I'm also a big fan of rap music. Well, only old school rap from the '80s and '90s since I don't like newer rap. I really don't like newer music for any genre. I only stick to older music, like the '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s, though especially the '80s (the best decade for music imo). Anyway, growing up I also liked the Corn Pops commercials where the person would be freaking out on the inside thinking they were all out of Pops, even though they were acting like it was cool. They were pretty funny and entertaining to me. I liked the Frosted Flakes commercials as well, especially the ones where Tony the Tiger would help an athlete overcome obstacles. But most of all, my favorite cereal commercials of the '80s and '90s are the Honey Nut Cheerios commercials. Like you mentioned, the Scrooge commercial is one of my favorites. I also liked the ones with Sonic the Hedgehog, Garfield, Frankenstein, Hulk Hogan, Godzilla, (big fan of Sonic and Godzilla) etc. It was entertaining to see how Buzz Bee always had a way to tempt someone's tummy with the taste of nuts and honey. Oh, and I also remember a Honey Nut Cheerios commercial with Dominique Wilkins. I really liked that one, since I'm also a big fan of the NBA (Golden State Warriors fan since the '90s, though I also closely follow the entire NBA). There are so many other great cereal commercials. Way too many to list!
What's the tv ad about a type of Cereal where in the ad they say "Do you think it'll last all week?" and the reply is "Should do it's a big enough box"
The Freakies commercials were my favorite when I was a kid. "We are the Freakies, we are the Freakies, this is our Freakie tree. We never miss a meal, cause we eat our cereal..."
Brian Austin Green in that Pops commercial, who moved on to 90210 fame. Also appeared on Smallville. Probably other shows. Is that Ariana Richards (Jurassic Park) in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch ad? The Kix Christmas was one of my favorites growing up. Pretty sure they used it a few years in a row.
I randomly woke up this morning trying to remember a commercial from the '80s I think. A little boy is reciting the days of the week while counting something .. I think cereal...."Sunday, Monday, Tuesday...Mom what day is it?" He has the most adorable Southern drawl. Any idea what that commercial was? It is driving me crazy!
Speaking of holiday commercials, the song in the Golden Grahams ad was, I believe, a parody of a tune called "Thank You Very Much," which was from "Scrooge" (1970), a movie musical based on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." Albert Finney played Scrooge in the film.
uh! i didn't know there was a time when coco pops (akaa cocoa krispies) were also advertised with coco (the monkey) in the us. I always thought you just had Snap, Crackle, and Pop. Very interesting! Thanks Gabe! ^^
My favorite commercials from back in the day: Bigg Mixx "Billy loves raisins. He's part chicken y'know." Fruity Pebbles: Santa Barney C-3POs and of course Mikey from Life
Lol! Nah, I didn't have to do any double-checking research for this one and I didn't have to show the cereal or talk about it in depth. I kinda winged it with the first commercials that came to my head.
Oh my goodness. I loved this. But how could you forget this Christmas gem: th-cam.com/video/8QUSeI-fKa0/w-d-xo.html It aired every year from 1987-1999 I believe.
Whale: They're Magically Delicous - Me: No They Aren't, You Stupid Whale!!!!!!! - Whale: *Eats Karina Beacuse of What He Said* - BARF ME OUT YOU FREAKING WHALE!!!!!!!
"Part of this nutritious breakfast! False advertising for kids! And the Trix rabbit is cheating, in a bike race? What kind of mess??? (tie those ears up, or to the back!)
I think the Fruity Pebbles Christmas commercial with Santa in it was one of the most memorable since they played it for so many years.
i love seen this classic cereal commercials from the 80's they are a treasure of my child hood
The good old days
This is awesome. Please feel free to post more of these any time.
As always great throwbacks
Oh! And in middle school we had a TV just like this! 😄😄❤
So many memories, thanks for the nostalgia!
I always liked the Pebbles Cereal Christmas commercial
And Canada we had golden grahams commercials in the early 90s that was pretty awesome

When I first saw those lucky charms commercials on TH-cam, I realized how many marshmallows there were and decided to get into them.
I love how you eat cereal and your mouth moving

Good memories....
I just noticed that on an episode of Family Guy, Cleveland's son was singing the Honey Comb jingle from this video. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

The Only Cereal Commercial That Is So Memoral To Me is Every Krave Advert In The UK
I voted YES for the Trix Rabbit and was so glad he got it.
You got a new sub! I just found this channel while eating my cereal 😂😂
That's the way to do it! Thanks for watching! :)
The Freakies commercials were my favorite when I was a kid. "We are the Freakies, we are the Freakies, this is our Freakie tree. We never miss a meal, cause we eat our cereal..."
That was before my time, but I've watched that ad online and I love it. Freakies looked like such an awesome cereal and the characters were so great!
I was born in 74 and dont remember this one

Everybody steals my cocoa crispies
Now I know where the Game Grumps got that Mr. Wilson rap from!
It makes me sad that nostalgic cereal commercials and old classic cereal are gone I hate 2000
😒😒
The honey nut cheerios holiday one still comes on I believe. One of my favorites.
Do more Old Cereal Commercials
Where did you find my childhood television set?!
uh! i didn't know there was a time when coco pops (akaa cocoa krispies) were also advertised with coco (the monkey) in the us. I always thought you just had Snap, Crackle, and Pop.
Very interesting! Thanks Gabe! ^^
Snap, Crackle, and Pop were the mascots for Kellogg's Rice Crispies, not Cocoa Puffs or Cocoa Crispies.
My favorite commercials from back in the day:
Bigg Mixx "Billy loves raisins. He's part chicken y'know."
Fruity Pebbles: Santa Barney
C-3POs
and of course Mikey from Life
Bigg Mixx is another great one!!
yes
Weird fact: I never heard of the name cocoa crispies, i think because I’m in the uk (they are called coco pops here
i liked the cookie crook and cuckoo for cocoa puffs
I’m looking for an
Old commercial where George Washington says “Tastes like bug slop” are you familiar with? Thx

R.I.P Andrea the giant
Yes
There seemed to be a lot of stealing cereal in the 70s and 80s ;-).
Poor robot what did he do to deserve this big man
My favorite was the captain is missing............... hold on is that mascot dead?
Probably made for a better story then Moby Dick.
What if there was a Beatles cereal?
Did this really take less work than a normal episode? Seems like this would take the same effort.
Lol! Nah, I didn't have to do any double-checking research for this one and I didn't have to show the cereal or talk about it in depth. I kinda winged it with the first commercials that came to my head.
Fred was always stingy with the pebbles..
Oh my goodness. I loved this. But how could you forget this Christmas gem: th-cam.com/video/8QUSeI-fKa0/w-d-xo.html It aired every year from 1987-1999 I believe.
Ahhh! You're right! I forgot all about that one. I loved that ad! Thanks for the memory! :)

Fred and Barney aren't rappers. Please. C'mon, Fred works in a mine and Barney is a... what is Barney's job?
Moo01100 pimping for Betty.
I don't remember what Barney's job was, and I used to watch "The Flintstones" all the time.
